I tried to stop in before work to grab something to drink and was told I couldn’t buy anything for 10 minutes because there was about to be a shift change, so I left empty handed. Other 24 hour businesses don’t completely stop operations every time there is a shift change… I am not impressed and will not be returning.

If I could give zero stars I would. I have spent so much money here supporting their business. My boyfriend and I Always buy our smokes, our morning coffee, evening juices and snacks. After going alone and being sexually harassed multiple times by the same guy, followed around by him in the university district with no respect for my partner, I figured I’d still let it go since it’s so close to our house. I won’t even go into detail about the other dude that gives me air kisses when I’m visibly uncomfortable. Dude that works evenings; the older one that goes extremely slow is on a whole other level of special. He has seen me in there dozens of times and have been patient with his other dimension of slowness. Always smile, and I’m poilte, even though anyone on a time limit would find him their nemesis. This particular dense specimen accused me of stealing while I was helping my boyfriend retrieve multiple last minute groceries tonight because I was placing things between my arms and on top of my purse. I asked him for the price of a product when he told me to «put it back» why would I put it back when I was intending on buying it? There are a bajillion camras in there. Did he really think id steal from this store? Is he really that lack witted? Like his fellow employees he won’t bother to learn how to use American Spirit coupons that no other employee has an issue taking except him. It is the bane of his existence. So is counting. I get there’s a language barrier, I am patient with that. But being accused of stealing from a business that I frequent is on a completely different level of mental retardation. Also his«be back in 10» take way longer than 20 minutes. What’s he doing, drugs? The older gentleman that works deserves all the stars. He’s quick, friendly, and I always leave the store feeling awesome. if he worked more id definitely stay, but with the way things are ran now, I don’t mind walking up to the gas station next to Safeway; where the dude is much more polite. Lastly, I live in a house with five other smokers. I have friends that work and live locally as well. This compiles about 10⁄15 different smokers that after finding out about the sexual harassment now refuse to go there. So long!

Great quick stop junk shop. Used to have real cheap beer but the prices have gone up. Anyway, this place caters to most addictions in spades. 24⁄7. So thats cool.

Guys are nice behind the counter. Decent sales on cold drinks. Nice and convenient for me(just two blocks away). I’m a fan.

A junk food store that is open 24÷7… and that is why this place should be renamed«Stoner Mart.» I can’t think of another purpose that this store serves other than to profit off of the munchies of the Emerald City. You have to be high to want to consume any of the food or beverage for sale in this joint. I don’t live near the U District anymore, so I no longer consume chips and soda at 3 am. It’s probably for the best but I do miss this place!

I like the older man in the night that everyone complains about. I try to make him laugh with a silly joke and sometimes it works. He is SUPER slow but not rude or unhelpful. Their prices are crazy low and there seems to always be parking available. Don’t go here if you are in a rush… but if you are at the library and need a drink or snack afterwards, or if you are about to go to a movie and want to sneak in some candy… or if you forgot to get beer for your band practice and you want to go to somewhere close by and SUPERCHEAP… this is the spot!

Let me preface this by saying I have never been here. However, I tried and failed to go there one night. Let me explain in my review. Walking/stumbling buzzed home from Dante’s me and my friends wanted to stop here and get a pizza to cook up at their place. Walking up to open the door, we came upon a sign that read, «STORECLOSED. I QUIT!!» We stood there in a daze for a moment unable to comprehend what we had read. All the lights were still on. We knocked on the window to see if anyone was there. Nope. Whoever was working just up and left. Also, the cash register was open. It appeared to have been an inside job. The low-down: 5 stars for giving us an entertaining story to tell. Minus 1 for making us go to the Safeway in the U-District, which totally blows. UPDATE1÷25÷08: If anybody wants to pull a heist, they’re hiring!
