A hole in the wall is an understatement to describe this establishment. Seriously, I felt like I was back in Nam, and I needed to go back in the kitchen and call out my order ahhah well with that sad, the food was pretty decent for being in greenwood. Seriously, there are more Greek restaurants there then there are Vietnamese, but when visiting my cousin I wanted to eat Phở, and didn’t want to go to the i.d. for some good Phở, and didn’t want to phone my mother to make me a batch of Phở especially for me. soo… phở tic tac it was Anyhow, the Phở was very different, it had grilled shallots which changed the flavor completely but it still tasted good. Not Phở good, but just a good noodle soup good. As for our chowmein and egg rolls they were banquet style, and it reminded me of a family function where people order a tray of chowmein, and it needed minor adjustments like extra hot sauce, and fish sauce. Again it wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t amazing either. Not like green leaf restaurant in the i.d. So let’s say if I have never eaten vietnamese food before and wanted to try it out, it wouldn’t be so shabby, but since I am pretty snobby on my Vietnamese food choices I would say that it was better than just mediocre… and definitely better than the average walk up to a phở restaurant joint.

While I’m not a huge Phở fan they have great spring rolls and other options. This morning a fire burned through the building and destroyed this business. My heart goes out to the owners and employees. To see the report go to

Bah! I don’t like being treated… err, not treated(not at all, for that matter) when I dine out. Ya feel me? Yeah… I know you do. This was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in quite sometime. If I am going into a restaurant, no matter the price of the meal, I still want to be treated, well… like a human being. I walked into Phở Tic Tac this evening, only to have someone come out from the back and say, «Anywhere,» as she tossed a menu on the table I chose. As I perused a promising, rather inexpensive menu boasting soup, apps, phở, rice and noodle dishes, I waited patiently for the waitress to reappear. She didn’t for quite sometime and when she did, she wasn’t happy about it. I ordered the lemongrass chicken, which was actually quite good. Had she given me a napkin and some utensils instead of plopping it down and leaving again, than I would probably be more inclined to return. The lemongrass and chicken was good and almost spicy enough. To pay, you walk to the front desk and they ring you up. She took my money, gave me my change and headed back into the kitchen. I would like to try phở or anything else, but the lack of any service here was a real turn off. That and the restaurant itself is pretty filthy. Go for the food,(don’t) stay for the service. It does not exist.

I’ve eaten here twice, now, mainly because I couldn’t go to Than Brothers because I didn’t have cash on me, only credit card. The phở here is good. The broth was flavorful — I ordered the large phở dac biet, and it was pretty damn big. There was lots of meat, lots of noodles… The brisket tasted a little different than what I’m used to, but it was good. I do think there are other places that use better slices of beef. I don’t know what the other people are complaining about with the service. I thought the service was fine. Got my phở and my cha gio in a decent amount of time(the cha gio is decent).

Delicious Phở and Vietnamese dishes(vermicelli + rice, etc.) I have had great service there, and it’s too bad that others haven’t. Good spot on the North End, and would pick it over Than Brothers any day.

Awesome Phở, much better than Phở Than Bro’s but without the cream puff. It is a little dingy but you are eating at a vietnamese place that gives you bowls of soup that should be eaten with a ladle, so in that case the atmosphere is perfect.

Good phở, bad prices and bad service. This place is a hole. Small frontage in a strip mall way off the main drag across the street from a WaMu, so if you did not know it was here you would not see it. However I did and I was hungry so I gave it a try. I ordered a large phở tai and iced coffee. The phở came pretty quickly, and I was surprised that the bowl was the size of what every other place calls a small. However I dressed it up and started eating. VERY hot soup — temperature hot — made it almost difficult to eat, but the flavor definitely was there. Not too much meat, and everything just right. However, all this time there was no sign of my coffee. Finally I finished and went to pay. Eight dollars!?! Huh? For a small bowl of soup? And where is my coffee? They scrambled and produced an iced coffee, then ADDEDTHAT to my bill. Now it was TENDOLLARS for soup and a coffee. The same meal costs about two dollars less about one mile north. Sorry, Phở Tic Tac, your quality is good, but your service and your prices are not. I can do better, and I will.

Delicious. I ordered to-go and was impressed with the speedy service. I will go back and next time I will try to dine-in… the broth was not as piping hot as it should have been when I got it home(4 min drive), so the rare beef didn’t really cook up as it should have. All in all, Phở Tic Tac satisfied my craving and made me forget about being sick with a cold. Success!

I love phở and that means that Phở Tic Tac is delicious! I The service is ok, the food is cheap and the phở is always good. I crave it, I have to have it at least once a week, sometimes two. I think the that some people don’t understand that different cultures have different ways of doing things. So there serving style is a little different, I think the key is you just have to know what to expect. I know what to expect after two years of frequenting this place I will always go back for more. My favorite is the vegi. phở with chicken. You should try it sometime, then you would be a believer.

I like Phở Tic Tac just fine. The phở runs on the bland side. Unfortunately, Phở Tic Tac’s noodle soup lacks the oomph to act as a decongestant. But despite that shortcoming, the phở portions are large and cheap and served piping hot. Oh, and avoid the egg rolls. They were burnt and tasted blech-y. The service, while friendly, is a bit hard to predict. This evening our server loudly shouted in Vietnamese to her coworker, who was in the kitchen, for a good five minutes while she bussed tables and checked on our fellow diners. Inside voices? The atmosphere is, well there is no atmosphere. The walls are grimy. The tables are shoved close together. Bright lights beam down on you. So, let’s say, it’s lacking in the atmosphere department. But, they still get three stars. Cause when it boils down to it on a winter day or after a late night, phở can really hit the spot, whether it’s flavorful or not. And it doesn’t hurt that they’re just a few blocks away.

I love Tic Tac. As soon as I tasted their phở I knew I would never go back to Than Brothers. Their eggrolls are DIVINE! Any of the phở is great! Service can be slow and sometimes fast, it depends on what you order. But this is a Phở restaurant, trust me, JUST like the true Vietnamese Phở restaurant experience. How much more authentic can it get?

I tend to like it a lot better than Than Brothers, in terms of quality, options, and service. Not the most amazing space to eat in, but the food itself is divine, as far as this man is concerned. I usually drop in and get it for carry-out and it’s never taken more than 10 mins to get my food. The phở ga is great, the grilled chicken bun is outstanding, and their fried spring/egg rolls are awesome. I also love the creepy clock in the window. I think they meant to call themselves«Phở Tick Tock», based off of the clock imagery, but I tend to find the weird name charming. Also, make sure you ask for an extra helping of wizard bread.

I love me some phở, so immediately it gets three stars right off the bat. Add another star for being about 25 steps from my apartment. Besides that, it’s your run of the mill Vietnamese Phở joint. Like Than Brothers but without the cream puffs. For shame. I’d take Phở Cyclo or Phở 900 any day of the week, but since it’s so close to my home, I’ll keep coming back to Phở Tic Tac whenever I get the hankerin’. I must say, the service here is great: friendly servers and super fast.

I had dinner there last night. The food was pretty good, but it took them at least 30 minutes to make it(which seemed quite ridiculous for phở) and about 10 – 15 minutes to get around to re-filling our water and taking away our appetizer plates. There were maybe about 2 other couples there and the waitress was apparently taking her sweet time because almost every table had dirty dishes on it.

So I don’t really care how good the food is here.(which it isn’t), the women here are nasty, lazy and rude. I waited around for 30 mins until I finally got up and walked out. My friend only ordered an appetizer, and it never came. We were never acknowledged at all. And this wasn’t the first time. Where’s my Thai iced tea. «it coming» Bullshit, these women are too busy giving each other pedicures in the back. «You want design, you want flower?» No, i want food, bitches! Never…again.

This place has become a once a week stop. This is that hole in the wall kind of place that no one really knows about but constantly delivers the goods and at a cheap price. Large number 9 is all you need, but we go for the shrimp egg rolls, simple and delicious… The service can be a little slow at times, but who cares? Once they take the order, the Phở is ready in 5 minutes.

I was getting excited to try this place because I was hungry for phở and I wanted a clock. Well this place had the phở, but I didn’t see any clocks. Then I realized that it was Phở Tic Tac, not Phở Tic Toc. I need to learn now to read better because this is a fail for me. The phở was decent but I wish the broth had a little more flavor. I didn’t experience slow service like a lot of other people have complained about. I do see myself coming back here from time to time. Zipzap Zubidy Bop! *Update* Katie S is a hilarious chick because she asked why I didn’t look for the«toes?» Get it? Tic Tac Toe! I wish I was funny, sometimes. *Update 2* Gosh, I have some really funny friends. Mitzie now asked if they had any Tic Tac’s breath mints. Rar Rar Rar!!!

This is a great spot for me to get my bun thit nuong when I head home from my Sunday job. It is not particularly good. The noodle dish has an overabundance of veggies and not enough noodles, but there is a good amount of grilled pork. The pork is cut in strips, not on skewers. It has a good flavour, but not the best I have had by any means. However, the fish sauce is killer and I used the whole container on my bun. Hee, hee… I do like the fact that it is convenient, and it is open when I am heading home at 5. I am going to go back soon and have some phở, and if it is better then the bun I shall have to add a star or two.

Having never tried phở before, my boyfriend insisted on introducing me to it by heading to Phở Tic Tac. I was a little bit hesitant at first, but was overall pleased. The phở at Phở Tic Tac is absolutely delicious. The portions are huge and inexpensive and, most importantly, are extremely tasty. I’m not sure how I went so long having never eaten phở before. I definitely want to go back again because it was great. As for the inside of Phở Tic Tac itself, I wasn’t entirely won over. The dining room leaves something to be desired and I didn’t feel like the table and the condiments and other items on the table were as clean as they could have been. That sort of thing rather turns me off; I want a restaurant to be very clean. There were a few pieces of dried food on the table and it was also slightly sticky in places. Not good. However, the staff was very nice and our waitress was great. Our food came out promptly and tasted great. And I do suppose that is one of the most important things. I will go back to Phở Tic Tac, but I do wish it were slightly cleaner than what I saw on my first visit. ***EDIT9/29/07*** On my return visit, the restaurant was very clean and was an even more enjoyable experience, so I have bumped my rating up to 4 stars.
