This restaurant is very quickly becoming my go-to phở joint in White Center. There are some places that are a hit or miss on some dishes, but so far, Thu Thuy has been pretty solid with the classics. Phở broth is flavorful. Meatballs are tender and soft. I hate when I bite into a meatball and it’s hard and chewy. getting it all in my teeth. Not the case here! I like the vermicelli bowls. Fresh veggies that don’t overpower the whole dish. Spring rolls are big! I keep forgetting that their rolls are extra long so we always order too much but that’s okay because it’s good hehe. Probably my favorite place to get spring rolls in White Center. My boyfriend likes the banh uot(wide rice noodles with fish sauce and Vietnamese sausage).

(Clicked wrong button and can’t delete accidental review post. I’m sure the food is probably amazing but I haven’t been here — yet!)

Delicious! I had the Pad Thai Ga(chicken) with a coffee bubble tea. Instead of rice or pasta, they use bean sprouts, which I’ve never used before this visit. It made the chicken flavor more pronounced and balanced the density. I usually feel bloated after such a meal, but I left very satisfied and content. My wife and I will return.

They have the hands down best Vietnamese spring in the entirety of Seattle. Another plus for a wide selection of banh my here too. Make sure to order a vietnamese milk coffee as your to go aftet you have finished a hearty. meal

Their Vietnamese sandwiches are the best around! If I’m anywhere south of downtown, I’ll make the trek out to White Center for an awesome lunch treat!

Cute little hole in the wall. Had the brisket and meatball phở, didn’t even need to add any hoisen sauce because the broth itself was fantastic compared to other phở places which need lots of hoisen sauce. I also had the shrimp spring rolls, which were delicious but it was a tad warmer then I had expected, yet again they may just have defrosted the shrimp but otherwise it was good. If I’m ever in the neighborhood again, I’ll def stop by.

So delicious! The broth does have a slight sheen to it, but it is not overly greasy. The most important thing in Phở is the flavor, right? And it’s there — delicious broth. The spring rolls are fresh and very well made, and the egg rolls are light and crisp and not saturated in grease. I’ll make this place a regular for me.

La Cucha — ROACHES ! ! ! Just started to dig into lunch when server picked up water glass to refill it. That’s when I saw it. Hmm. Ant got a big ass. Monkey put the fish sauce cup over it and server says«thanks.» We all get up and leave. No charge, of course, and no I won’t help a govt entity do it’s job. I’ll just warn a few friends. As for you 4star Unilocalers… Monkey agree. Not the cleanest place. It’s Fucking Dirty!!! Defend yourself, «oh but how was the food?» Both pork & beef taste like butter and took wayy too long to prepare/reheat. Between the 3 of us, we all failed to follow our instincts when looking into an empty restaurant at lunch time in ghetto. We just got our remedial lesson. That roach on its back under the table was not squashed. It was either napping or laughing.

Four stars based on the phở. This is hands down my all time favorite phở place. Sorry kids, this restaurant isn’t chic by any means. It’s smack in the heart of White Center. I recommend you bring your appetite and your thug life swagger over here. I’ve been coming here since I was five, so I’m a loyal customer no matter where I move to in the future. I’m not scared of the shenanigans outside but if you can get past all the crazies, I think you’d be surprised how good the phở is! I usually get the #1 special combination phở with extra meatball. This place doesn’t skimp on the meat. I hate those phở places that give you one piece of meat and you end up fishing around in your soup for more. Trust me, you do not need to fish. There’s fatty flank, steak, tendon, the whole nine yards. The soup has intense beef flavor, seasoned well and has this rich cinnamon-y flavor. There’s also no fatty layer on the broth which is a plus! You don’t feel disgusting afterwards. Oh, their seafood egg noodle soup is bomb! The broth is completely different, but the small fried pieces of pork and garlic makes this soup sooooooooooooo delicious. It comes only in one size but if I can finish it, you can finish it! It’s not the cleanest place, and the service is good enough. It’s a phở place and it can get busy so don’t expect anyone to go above and beyond for you. Have some legit phở and a cup of hot tea!

I lived in white center all my life & I wonder why I never came into this particular phở shop. Maybe its right next to the bus stop with a never ending crowd of shady people? Who knows. I had the brisket & meatball phở to go &OMG talk about food-gasm. The broth had very little oil floating on top so you know its actual beef bones being used in the broth. I have to say, its the perfect soup in town. Slowly becoming a regular…

This place has the BEST tasting phở around, but I can no longer eat here which is sad because I LOVE their food. But on several occasions I have gotten my bowl of phở only to find dead bugs in my food. I didn’t eat here for awhile, but then gave them another chance & they were ok for awhile but today it happened again. And found big thick nasty black hairs in my egg rolls. Also, water tasted naaaasty, not fresh and clean. Service is sorta slow, but friendly. They really really need to get their bug problem fixed because their food is great, especially the phở.

We never wanted to try this place because of the location but it was Sunday and I had a long day and I thought what the heck lets give this place a try. Typical family owned place. Not really well decorated. Television was blasting the news channel, empty fish tank in the corner and only a father and and young son eating a bowl of noodles in this place… So to say it was pretty empty causing me to order my food to go. I ordered the fried egg rolls, spring rolls, phở w/meatballs, and my all time favorite bun bo hue. Egg rolls. very good. better than the all the competitors in the area. Spring rolls.excellent.also better the competitors. The reason for this because the only other place I’ve tasted spring rolls with crunchy egg roll shells in the center is all the way in the town of Snohomish. This tells me that they make their stuff fresh. Phở w/meatballs. very good.the broth has a light touch of fat floating on top meaning that they actually boil beef bones to create their broth, which is a plus!!! Bun bo hue. the best in town… hands down… all that I ask is that next time please serve up some finely chopped bananas blossoms with it the bun bo hue!!! To finally sum this up. Since I live in West Seattle I will NEVER go to any other Phở restaurant in Seattle. They just made themselves a repeat customer.

Wow, I just discovered this little gem. I had the steak and brisket phở to go!(Friend was sick, so thought I would give it a try. I usually go the Mexican meat market next door.) I have to say, the phở was terrific. The broth was tasty, but had a mellow and almost cinnamon taste to it. The whole to-go presentation was nicely laid out in the box. As for cleaniless, I thought the place very clean.

One of the better location for phở in White Center. I usually order Phở Dac Biet. Fresh ingredients and friendly service. The location is a bit«ghetto» due to the fact that it’s right in front of the main bus stops in White Center.

Favorite place for phở in white center. It’s good if you want phở but I recommend eating quick because it’s in a sketchy neighborhood and is pretty old inside. The owner is really nice and I don’t know how he puts up with the sketchy ppl who come in, he deserves a better location.

This is a standard mom and pop Phở place. They do have some dishes that you don’t normally see at Phở places. I got a bowl of phở with a side salad that what huge for around $ 8. Will have to go back an try some other dishes.

yay! i’m a fan! and i’ve only had their vegetable spring roll and tofu banh mi! i live for places like these… hole-in-the-wall restaurants that pump out awesome food. i didn’t get to dine in because a bunch of us were picking up food on a break during a church conference, but i was there long enough to see the guy bring out at least four trays of phở and see that the service was very friendly :) because i’m observing lent i couldn’t order anything with meat. boo. but what i will say is that the food i did order filled me up and was satisfied my stomach. their spring rolls come with a strip of a fried spring roll skin inside which makes for a very nice surprise! i’m definitely a fan. and i loved the peanut sauce that came with it. the tofu banh mi was super yummy too. it comes with jalapenos inside so if you can’t handle, you might wanna take em out beforehand. overall, very niiiiiiiiiiiiiiice phở thu thuy!!! :) me likey.

I so badly would like to give this place more stars, but it just isn’t very clean inside. It also smells funny. The last time I was in, I made the mistake of looking down underneath the table only to find a huge crunched up dead bug :( I’m not sure if I’ll be able to recover from that and eat here anymore because I haaaaate creepy crawly things, which saddens me because I really did like the food here, hence the 3 stars despite the lack of cleanliness. The phở was very flavorful and the portions were huge. They also give you a lot of meat, which is nice because I hate when a large order contains entirely noodles and practically nothing else. The spring rolls are also delicious as well. There is sometimes only one server, who I believe is also the owner, so service can be kind of slow, but he is super friendly. It also has a tendency to get pretty packed in here too, especially on the weekdays around lunchtime.

My wife and I have hit most of the Phở joints around White Center. These guys were head-and-above the best. The steak is tender, the basil fresh, and the broth just the right combination of salty and sweet. The brisket, which can be dry and of low quality at other places in the neighborhood, was moist and perfect. I’m looking forward to trying some their Bahn and spring rolls. Our new favorite! Update: I second Soeun L’s comment below. The dining room is not the cleanest. They seem to enjoy watching TV more than clearing tables. I’ve been in there when five tables were left dirty. I keep coming back for that Phở To Go, though.
