Management is kind and friendly. You get everything expected in an extended stay motel.

Wow, what a deal. Location, location, location. Clean refurbished room w/fridge and microwave. Bathroom is spotless and new. Only thing to mention is the traffic noise due to the single paned windows but I take a white noise machine with me when traveling and being a light sleeper I slept very well. Safe neighborhood and assigned parking is right outside your door for even more security. Owners are wonderful and will get you what you need. No wonder so many want to extend their stay. I hate to write this review because I want to stay here again and don’t want anyone to know about it but I have to be fair to the owners who are doing such a good job. Catch 22. I am a traveling salesman so I know.

I saw this places add on Craigslist, gave them a call and was told they’d have a place available when I arrived. When I arrived, the office was locked with no one inside. Strange, right? I called them again, since there was no actual person to talk to, and asked them what was up. I was then told that my room would not be available until tomorrow night, since the person staying in it had decided to stay another night. This place also looked kind of dingy and just had that«trashy motel feel.» In fairness, I can’t give a total review since I found somewhere else to stay.

Park Plaza advertises«quiet» rooms but they’re kidding themselves; the room furthest from the roaring Aurora Avenue traffic is MAYBE100 ft away. The hotel was built in the 1950s and not much has been updated since then. Rooms are somewhat bare, basically to marginally functional. The walls are thin and the beds are not new. Many of the residents are there a month at a time. That’s good in terms of stability, but really, why don’t these folks have proper apartments? At $ 250/week, the motel is NOT cheaper. The previous manager kept drug dealers and prostitutes out but he’s gone now and all the owners care about is making money. From what I saw, they are turning a blind eye to the quality of people staying on their property, which means your safety could be at risk. Oh, also, there are rats in the attics and because of neglect to to the property over the years, there’s black mildew in most of the bathrooms. It’s not pretty. I would definitely pay more to stay somewhere nicer, if you at all can afford it.
