No more punch cards for food or coffee. *le sigh* Someone took advantage of the system, so they took it away. Bummer. Plus, they are no longer completely organic. I still really love their salad bar, even if it’s not totally organic.

$ 8.25 for a roast beef sandwich??? A roast beef sandwich that looked like I made it myself a few days ago, but forgot to bring to work until today? I think it was only of sheer disbelief or thinking that I misheard the cashier that I handed over my card. I used to buy O to Go sandwiches on campus almost every day when I went to UW, except they were actually fresh and cost no more than $ 6. I didn’t think anything could actually be cheaper on the UW campus than at its home store, but I guess I was wrong. Or maybe the walls Columbia Center just have a habit of ruining chains I normally like.

Pricey, but tasty. I just paid over $ 9 for a Cobb Salad, but OMG, it was awesome! It came with generous amounts of blue cheese, hard boiled egg, and chicken on top. The best part, though, was the Ranch dressing. I’ve never had Ranch that tasted so good!!! Yeah, organic is pricey, but the salad prices are really comparable to Specialty’s. They also offer little«demi» sandwiches for less than $ 3, if all you need is a little snack. Most of their other food items, however, are outrageously overpriced(that’s why it’s only 3 stars). A small platter of fruit, cheese, and hummus was about $ 8. A full-sized sandwich was $ 8. I’m sure I’ll be back, but I’ll have to be careful to get my money’s worth.

An admirable concept — a convenience store with only organic or all-natural food products — with the addition of actually tasting great. All the ingredients of the salads, sandwiches and soups are listed on the packaging, which is a huge plus for me. And there’s a decent selection of snacks and drinks, too. This is the place for lunch if you just want to grab and go. (They also have a location at 2 Union Square, and three on the eastside.)
