Mind-blowing. What a beautiful gallery. This place should be a must-visit for both locals and tourists. I’ve never seen such a special place. Mainly because I can feel the pride and workmanship of the owner, collaborators, and fellow artists. They truly enjoy their craft. I felt so honored and privileged to visit and see their work. I also felt motivated to make more money so I can start purchasing and collecting these works of art. Yes, motivation on high gear. Will become customer real soooon.

Although I live in San Francisco and have only visited this store once, I buy my barrettes here because I have never seen such beautiful work. I had a barrette for 15 years and was very attached to it. When I lost it, I went back to Northwest Woodworkers Gallery to buy another hand made wood barrette. I am so amazed at their designs and craftmaship.

I would never be able to afford these works but man, much of the craftwork and design is a real treat to look at closely and appreciate a greater level.

They aren’t kidding when they say this place is a «gallery.» For me and my budget, it is more of a museum without an entry fee than a store, but that’s mostly because everything in here is so beautiful that I can’t imagine bringing it back to a house full of people and dogs and guests who might – GASP – accidentally forget to use a coaster and… before I get carried away, let’s just say that this is some of the finest quality woodworking you’ll see, ever. This is what master wood workers make in their spare time when they are not taking commissions for people who want something very specific and furniture-y. This is where you’ll find chairs with back that twist and follow the natural curve of the wood and enhance its beauty in ways you wouldn’t imagine. Each piece is a piece of art, and each piece makes a statement on its own, so this is not the place to go when looking for an every day dining set. This is the place you go when you’re looking for a bookshelf or sofa table or reading chair to put in a very public place in your home, when you want to dazzle all who visit with its splendor. Or when you’re transforming a room into your own personal Wonderland. It’s good for that, too. Everything in here invites conversation, and you’re supporting talented local artisans with your purchase. Plus, if you buy something, they’ll put something new in its place for me to look at. And I like that idea.

Holy moly. What beauuuuuuuuutiful furniture. Artistic yet functional. You don’t feel like if you bought this amazing wood furniture that you couldn’t actually USE it. Talk about perfect conversation pieces. They make you want to study it as if it were donned in a museum. If you are looking for tables of all kinds, chairs, wall art, or bookshelves not meant for books… or want to gawk over such woodworking beauties, just because, you must stop in.

This place is amazing. Absolutely the most impressive collection of creative, top quality wood creations I’ve ever seen. It’s incredibly expensive but every piece I saw was worth the money. It’s furniture as art and you need to at least go browse. You may up selling all of your Ikea stuff just to buy one fantastic chair. Skip the junky tourist trap of the fish throwing in Pike Place and walk around Pioneer Square — and be sure to stop in here…

Fine indeed, this furniture is in the stratosphere for quality and prices. I don’t think there’s anything at all that’s under $ 1,000 and most of it is mulitples of that. However, these are some of the finest examples of craftsmanship I’ve ever seen. These will be collectible antiques in a couple hundred years and they will have held up very well in that time because they’re made to last forever. Some rare woods are used in some pieces and the joinery is exquisite. If I win the lottery… yeah, right, but in the meantime, it’s a beautiful store to browse.
