Great food. Great music. Great waitress named Heather. Saw some dogs. Definitely coming back 5⁄5.

I really love that this place caters to dogs. My boyfriend and I had been here several times for drinks with our dog and every time we had friendly service and a wide variety of craft local beers to choose from. Very enjoyable. However the two star review is for the food. I get that it’s «bar food» but they could at least use quality ingredients or make the prices cheaper. The one good meal I’ve had here was the veggie Mac and cheese, the other times I’ve ending up paying 15 dollars for very disappointing morning star veggie burgers.

I created a Unilocal account just so that I could share my horrible experience. I have gone to Norm’s many times and have always had a good experience, until today(Solstice). The burly guy with a beard(working the door) was completely disrespectful. I tried walking in and didn’t realize he was checking ID’s so I started to walk past him. He stopped me, of course, but he didn’t handle the situation very well at all. Hello, it’s Solstice. There are people standing EVERYWHERE. I had no clue he worked there. He told me that I should take my business elsewhere, which I gladly did. I walked to The Dock on Fremont and was happy to spend my money there. Shame on you guys for hiring crappy employees. I won’t be returning!

Honestly, best country fried steak I think I’ve ever had… It was crispy on the outside and juicy in the middle with perfect seasoning. Service was attentive, and even though they forgot a few things here and there, we had a large group with drink orders galore so I get it. Throw in $ 4 bloody Mary’s and mimosas from 10 – 2 p.m. and I am more than sold! But wait! That’s not all — there are also adorable puppies all over this joint since it’s dog friendly. :D Give this place a shot; even though it’s pretty dang divey for brunch, you won’t regret it.

Had to check this place out based on the Unilocal reviews and our dog friends talking about it. We have a husky and we love taking her everywhere with us. This place was awesome! There were a lot of other dogs here when we came in, even puppies. Everyone was being pretty good, there were a few times when the dogs wanted to play and start barking but no one in the restaurant freaked out and the owners were able to quiet their dogs down. We have been to a few places where people freak out when dogs start barking. Well we have a husky, she talks and loves to play! Sorry but we try to keep her quiet in public but it’s not always possible. So I love that everyone here seemed to get that. The food was delicious and there are other items we will be going back to try! They have full meals for dogs as well! We got our girl the pupcake(bacon) and she loved it. If you are a dog lover you should add this restaurant to your«to visit» list.

I really love this place. While I know that Seattle is known as a dog-friendly city, I often have trouble finding a place where I can even sit on the patio with him when I’m out and about in town. Believe it or not, this place is often where I go just because I can bring my pup with, the food, beer, and service is fantastic. Great local beer on tap, doggie water bowls around, and a jar of treats right as you walk in the door. Usually, every seat in the place is adorned with a cute pup beside it. As their menu states they’re already walking a fine line having dogs in their facility as it is, so Fido has to obey the house rules. No barking, no begging at other tables, and no, he cannot sit on the seat with you. Otherwise, enjoy! :)

If you have a fur babies and want to take them with you to grab a bite to eat and not have to tie them up outside, this is the spot! The unfortunate thing for me was that I came here without my fluffy, sweet pup, Schubert. I was here for a birthday brunch and we had plans to do stuff afterwards. Food — Pretty good. I just had eggs, toast, bacon and a side of fruit. Service — Pretty good but it can take a while if it gets busy… The BIG plus — YOUCANBRINGYOURDOGS!!!

I am giving it two stars because they let dogs in only. Their service is awful. Messed up my hamburger order, by putting bacon on it when I asked for it off. Then just picked the bacon off and reserved it after I had sent it back. Then were upset I sent it back a second time. The third try the burger was not medium like I had asked, but well done. What’s worse is the blackened salmon salad I order had spoiled lettuce, and the salmon was beyond salty. However, everything was salty we ate.

Not only is the food surprisingly delicious, but how incredible is it to take your dog out to eat. My puppy played with the dog at the table next to us while we ate. We all had a great time and will definitely go back.

Norm’s offers good food, a decent beer selection, and I love that they allow you to bring your dog. All good things. Alas, there is a «but»: The owner insists on hosting their trivia night. And he’s terrible. Kudos to Norm’s for attempting to do their own thing on trivia nights(unlike at many other bars in the area, where they just use one of the established companies), but the reality is, it’s extremely rough around the edges. The owner, who apparently is the regular guy in charge of the game, is pathetically bad. Not only were the questions poorly designed, but in some cases the research was so bad that he had incorrect or incomplete answers. And while I’m no prude, this guy was just gratuitously crude. Imagine the kind of sophomoric quips a 20 year old frat guy makes after about his sixth beer, only coming from a forty-something dude with a masters degree in douchebaggery. Dumb and crass: Not a great combination. At any rate, as long as the owner doesn’t bar us from the joint after reading this review, we will go back to Norm’s for their excellent pub grub and fun, dog-friendly atmosphere. But we’ll avoid trivia night like the plague. I’d encourage you to do the same.

Came here last weekend for food& beer. Great service especially for a busy Saturday. Good selection of beers but better food. I thought it was great that people can bring their dogs here to eat& relax.

THISPLACEISAWESOME! After finding out one of my doggies was sick, I wanted to take her out on a no-holds barred, do everything day! Thanks to Unilocal,we found Norm’s, which is a, GETTHIS, restaurant and bar to which you can bring and dine with your pets! The place was very charming, with a full bar and what gets me every time: a mouth-watering yet creative food and drink menu. The fries with gravy and cheese are amazingly seasoned, and the Gorgonzola Pear Bacon burger was perfectly cooked to order. The service was a bit slow, but that’s to be expected from a place that’s so popular, as the place was PACKED. If you have a furry one, be sure to make this your next stop!

I was bummed — I had no real expectations but given the solid four stars at hundreds of reviews I thought I would be safe. It was a slow Sunday and sadly the service still took a long time, from providing menus to order taking to never refilling my water. The order was done incorrectly, however I was so hungry I just went for what I had. Sadly there was no rescuing my meal, nor anyone elses, since it was so bland and overcooked. Definitely not coming back :-(

There should be more restaurants like Norm’s across the country. It is so nice sitting down for a meal, and having your dog sitting right next to you. Not just that, but seeing other happy people with their happy dogs right next to them. So nice. That’s not the only thing that warrants Norm’s a 5-star review, though. –Happy Hour: 4 – 7 daily! –The price: less than $ 25 for wings, a grilled cheese sandwich with sides, a beer, and a soda. Not bad! The food was good, our server was sweet, and there were tv’s everywhere, making this a great choice for grabbing a quick snack and/or drink while watching a game with your pup. Enjoy!

What a great dog friendly spot. I love everything about this restaurant. The dog love décor, the food, and the service! We ordered tots, wings, a burger, Reuben, and spaghetti and meatballs and everything was really delicious! I will definitely be coming back here with our pups

I go to norms at least once a month for a football game or just to have a place to go where my dog can come too. Multiple tvs throughout and great for coming by yourself with your dog or groups of 6 or less. Considering most of the menu is bar food. It’s usually pretty dang good. They have the typical burgers, sandwiches, and appetizers along with some really good dinner entrees that I was pleasantly surprised by. Real good place to go for the bar ambience without the frozen dinner food quality. Try ordering the buffalo wings with sauce on the side. The plain crispy chicken wings are good just by itself! The service is always pretty good here even when it’s busy. And you can park in the parking lot right next to the building. But you will need to ask for a token from your server that you’ll need to put into the parking pay box outside. Last but not least my favorite part of norms is that I can bring my loyal little dog. He was nervous the first couple times coming here but now he’s a Norms regular and loves it. You can order a chicken breast doggy bowl or dog beer(I think the dog beer is like chicken broth or something– my dog wasn’t a fan). So for you alcoholic dog lovers this is your spot! *gets packed on Seahawks game nights *Thursdays are trivia night 7:30 ish. Gets packed for that too, get seats early

Norm’s is a casual, traditional pub offering solid bar food. The beer and burgers are outstanding. I couldn’t decide between the Jalapeño Macaroni & Cheese or a burger. Then I saw the special — Bacon Jalapeño Mac & Cheese BURGER! The burger was cooked exactly the way I like it and had the perfect jalapeño kick. The mac & cheese was so good; there was so much piled onto the burger it practically became a side dish! My husband had the wings; they were good but nothing special. The tater tots are really good too. Since we were heading to some breweries later, I opted not to have any beers but their selection is respectable. It was quiet in here on a weekday in the middle of the afternoon. There isn’t much of a lunch crowd. I liked the laid back feeling here. If you’re in the Fremont area and hungry for a good burger, you’ve got to go to Norm’s!

This place is a DREAM!!! Visiting from NY with my son and one of the dogs to keep me company, and a local friend took us to Norm’s. My dog hesitated — never in NY, this could happen. But there was a few other canine patrons inside already. There are many restaurants that welcome dogs in the patio, but this is way beyond that! Décor was all about dogs. We had a breakfast — it was good. It was not fabulous, but it was good. And the fact that you can dine with your dog makes it perfect.

Fantastic! I hope I got your attention, because check this out: both food and service were a home run. We decided to try Norm’s since it’s close to home and pet friendly. Some friends also said the food was well worth the walk. We were greeted by some very friendly staff, and our server took very good care of us while we were there. They were polite and very easy going. The food is seriously amazing. Either that, or the planets were just in line yesterday. Their Guinness braised corned beef on the Reuben is really goo, and I am a serious Reuben junkie. They have a good beer selection(one of my faves– Bob’s Brown Ale from Georgetown Brewing on tap), excellent options for my gluten free fiancé to munch, and a good atmosphere(the inside is a little dark, but I like the place). Two thumbs up to Norm’s.

Pet friendly with different areas to hang out and watch the game. Usually for places that allow pups they tended to give me a hard time because of my dog’s size and breed. She’s a pretty sizable pitbull and we’ll behaved. I had no issues. If you and your friends are planning on drinking the same thing, order a pitcher. Much cheaper. Oh and if you’re going to order a salad, appreciate the fried onion ring that tops it off ;)

Ehhh. Just because you own a dog, doesn’t mean you can let it bark and yap for most of the time you are there. I mean, I get it. dogs make noise often at the sight of other dogs. And this is not at fault of the operators of Norm’s, but owners really should have a better handle on their canines if they are to bring it to places with other dogs and humans. I didn’t have any food here. They have an expansive list of things to choose from, but it seemed like mostly typical bar type of fare. The drinks are pretty run of the mill. Nothing really fancy. I own no dogs, I have no reason to come back here. Just to clarify, I love dogs and most of the dogs here were well behaved. But the one that was noisy had owners that didn’t seem too interested in shutting it up. So you’re likely to find that if you come here. Dog owners, go. Non-dog owners, skip.

TROLLSTROLL! We came here pre-Fremont Troll Stroll to get some greasy grub in our stomachs before the chaos began. I loved that everywhere I looked, there were dogs hanging out under the table. I’m not sure that I’d bring my dogs, just because they’d bark at everyone and eat everyone’s food… but it’s cool that people can do that. When I got there on Saturday AM, there was a morning happy hour on bloody marys. Only $ 4 per drink. WHAT?! And they were really good, too. For food, I ordered a BLAT which came with salad(I’m not sure if it was supposed to — but it was a caesar salad and filled up half the plate) and then had some fries. When I received my food, I accidentally received the wrong order — my sandwich had an egg so I had to send it back. Maybe it would have been good? But it just wasn’t what I was going for. The sandwich itself was awesome! It probably had extra spit in it from me sending it back. Kidding… The caesar was pretty dry and could have used more dressing. Like I said previously, I’m still not sure that I was supposed to get it. The place was packed and obviously very busy — so it’s fine that things got a little messed up. However, it was confusing when we went to pay because our servers changed mid-service and the billing was messed up when we went to pay. I think this place would be great to come to for brunch on a weekend when a major Fremont event wasn’t going on.

Norm’s is ok. I went there a couple of years ago and then again last week. Both times were ok but not outstanding. I had a salad which was ok but truthfully really small for the price. We ordered tots as an appetizer. The spicy tot sauce really was quite chipotley(is that a word) and delicious. My Dad also had a salad and agreed it was kinda skimpy for the price. Both my Mom & Hubby had burgers. They agreed they were good but nothing to write home about. I would say these guys are solidly average. As for the dogs… I love the idea but the execution was not the best. There are some basic dog rules on the menu but they weren’t enforced in any way. There was a dog sitting on the bench beside me(they aren’t supposed to be on the furniture) that wouldn’t stop barking and a dog that the owner wouldn’t keep control of. It kept going under my table while we were eating. I love dogs but when I am eating I don’t really want them in my face. Ugh
