My Buddy Dave the Plumber

I didn’t get to have Dave come over to my house, but here’s the story. I woke up to a total disaster happening in my bathroom shower, leaking water to the ceiling in the bathroom below. After leaving a voicemail for a plumber we have used in the past, I frantically looked up plumbers on Unilocal and started calling. Pretty much nobody answered their phones, and when they did, they were booked, or had some very expensive overtime fee for someone coming after hours. Then I called Dave. He answered his phone, and was so nice. He told me to go to my hot water heater and turn off the water there, and to keep on trying to get other plumbers to come out, because he was booked for several days out. He also told me what he thought the problem was, which would be a simple fix (minus fixing the drywall ceiling in the downstairs bathroom!). He was also very knowledgeable about the age of our house and the age of the «vintage 1962» plumbing. I really appreciated his helpfulness on the phone with me, even though he was clearly very busy. He told me to call back if I couldn’t find anyone else. Luckily, our plumber that we have used in the past got my voicemail and was able to come by and he is working on the problem now. In the future, I would not hesitate to call Dave again. Thank you Dave!!!

Best Plumber in the world by far! We had a big job last year of not only re-​piping the majority of our home, we also wanted to replace all fixtures and put in other convenience items like water dispensers, filtration systems, etc. I have had to deal with many plumbers in the past that were crooks so I have always dreaded getting quotes and interviewing people. Unfortunately, I did run across several plumbers that were exactly that, until I met Dave.
Dave is probably the most professional plumber I have ever met. Always on time, polite and respectful to myself and my kids, and excellent workmanship. The traits that sets him apart from the others though are his professionalism and honesty. He made recommendations of things that did not need to be done, while other plumbers were using their sales tactics to get me to increase my costs. I even overpaid because I wrote the check for several services I eventually decided not to do and he was honest enough to let me know and reimbursed me for the remainder. Who in the present day is honest enough to do that.
Sharlane was also very pleasant to work with and would always contact me back right away. I would call Dave in a heartbeat if I had any plumbing issues going forward. A client for life. We hired Dave to help with a bathroom remodel. This guy does a very good job with his work. I appreciate that he does all his own work. He does the job right even if the cost is greater so that you preserve your investment. He is not the cheapest option out there in our experience, but he works quickly and efficiently and does the job right. I would recommend his services.

Our kitchens sink stopping draining. My boyfriend and I tried to fix the problem ourselves. No such luck, the sink was definitely clogged and needed a professional. I tried contacting four plumbing companies prior to calling My Buddy Dave the plumber. All of the plumbers I contacted either couldn’t fit us anytime soon or didn’t call me back. As you can imagine, it’s a difficult situation to not have your kitchen sink working.
I called My Buddy Dave the plumber and fit me in next day. He was friendly, prompt and fixed the problem very quickly! He also gave us some advice on how to avoid this problem in the future. His rates are very affordable and he charges by the job not by the hour.

Trustworthy — great at pipe fixing — and overall Awesome!
Can’t say enough good things about Dave. I had put a hole in my sink pipe following my unsuccessful attempts at unclogging my own drain. I saw his «my buddy Dave» van driving by me at a bus stop, looked him up online and called. Unlike every other plumber I had spoken to – he gave me a fair price for the pipe replacement right away — and explained his charge by the job NOT by the hour… BY FAR the most reasonable plumber I could find. I don’t know much about plumbing — but was very reassured by his sincerity and honesty.
He came to his appointment on time — fixed the pipe in no time flat — and charged me exactly what he said he would. Highly recommend him.

Call them first! I have used My Buddy Dave the Plumber for whole house heating and for whole house plumbing. Amazing work!
I liked them so much, I recommended them to a friend who was having a sewer back up. They had already called Beacon by the time I passed Dave’s name to them… They were shocked that Beacon charged $ 2000 at the end of the job. Guess what?! a week later it backed up again. They hadn’t got the job done! This time he called Dave. Dave cleared the drain, and threw in some extra work for $ 600. It’s been six months and no problems. Dave won customers for life! They really are conscientious of your home and take great pride in their work, while treating you fairly. My recommendation to you?! Call My Buddy Dave first!

Dave is indeed my buddy now and my trusted go-​to plumber. He was the third plumber to come to my house to fix the same problem that kept rearing its head and he ultimately got the job done. Plus he did some other work that I’m very happy with. He’s calm, approachable, he listens, he follows direction and it really seems like he genuinely cares about doing a great job. Specifically I’d like to point out that he was tasked with cutting open a wall in one bathroom to access the shower fixture in another bathroom. I asked him to cut as small as possible and to stay within a certain area such that I could cover it up easily. Of course he fixed the shower fixture which has made me an extremely happy camper however I was equally ecstatic about how small of a piece he cut out to do his work. I have no reservations recommending Dave and suggest you give him a try.

Dave is the full meal deal in a plumber. He is extremely professional, knowledgable, honest and is a master of his trade. I am a real estate broker and he’s worked on numerous projects of varying scopes for me and always gets the job done right for a competitive price. Now if I can just find one of him in all my other contractors that would be amazing!

Yep– that’s the name: My Buddy Dave the Plumber. And you will be so dang happy you have a buddy named Dave who is a plumber! I’m a general contractor. I know plumbers. I REALLY know plumbers– and most of them I like for a little bit and then I REALLY don’t like them.
I’ve had the pleasure of doing dozens of jobs with Dave & his crews. Together, we’ve done little things like replace water heaters and swap a filter in a sink fixture and then we’ve done the really big stuff. Whole house re-​pipe? Replacement of recalled Kitec piping throughout a townhouse? New construction rough-​in? Design of hydronic /​radiant heating systems? Sewers? New water main? New bathrooms in basements? Yep. All of ‘em.
And guess what? Dave’s prices are some of the most fair in town. His guys are responsive and actually a pleasure to have around the jobsite. And the work they do is stellar– done right the first time.
