We hired Mountaintop to do a major remodel including lifting our house. The level of experience, dedication, and customer service was stellar. We could not be happier with how the entire process went from the initial estimate to the end result. Scott and his crew are dedicated to quality, service, and a fair price. I would tell anyone looking for a contractor to hire them in a minute! You won’t be disappointed.

A home remodel can be very stressful. So many unknown variables, from the quality of the work, amount of mess, cost, and accuracy of estimates can weigh on the homeowner. Fortunately, we worked with Mountaintop Builders, and Scott and Craig proved to assuage all of those stresses. From the first meeting through multiple design iterations, Scott and Craig were top-notch professionals. Craig has a keen design eye, and was able to look at our current décor to come up with designs that we loved. Scott was a great craftsman, who brought ideas on the layout and scheduling to help minimize impact on our schedules. Craig and Scott accommodated our busy schedules, often scheduling meetings with us in the evenings. They worked within our wants and budget, and ensured that we were getting the most value for the dollars we spent. They care for your home is if it were theirs; they leave it clean, minimize impact on surrounding areas, and ensure that all of their workers treat it the same way. They let you know status daily, as well as, what is coming up in the next few days. They answered calls and emails promptly, and they went above and beyond to ensure we were completely satisfied. I can’t thank Scott and Craig enough, or praise them high enough, for all of their efforts and for the pride they have in their craft. It truly shows in the quality product they produce.

We hired Scott to remodel a bathroom down to the studs. We have a 1904 house, so opening walls ALWAYS reveals hidden problems that must be fixed(typical N. Seattle older home). Our original bathroom was basically a converted closet. The project involved annexing a hallway into the bathroom space, moving doors, installing headers, replumbing from scratch, electrical, you name it. Opening the ceiling revealed some serious framing flaws in the original construction which needed to be repaired. He completed framing in just a couple of days. I have done many repairs myself and his framing skills are beyond anything I have encountered with any other contractor. What would take me a week to frame, he accomplished in a day. His crew is fast and they leave the site clean each day. They used plastic screening in all affected rooms to minimize dust. He was very good about setting a contract budget and being upfront about any unanticipated costs. After watching him tackle a pretty scary remodel, I’d say that he is up to the challenge.
