I’ve been there one time with my boy friend. We ordered sukiyaki, agedashi tofu, udon, and some rolls. Well first of all, smells like a garbage when we enter the restaurant. I expected the restaurant as a japanese restaurant but literally seemed like a chinese restaurant. interior looks horrible and environment was not right… we wanted to walk out right after came in but we were so hungry so we just stayed there. All the food was so nasty. We were starving so much but we could not eat the food after took a one bite. I almost throw up. Serioulsy, I don’t understand how the business is going with those food. I never seen this restaurant entire of my life and this was disaster period. So we left all the food, we barely ate them and we ran out from this place. Even we left over all the food and owner didn’t really ask us what the problem was. Total check came out more than $ 50. That was ridiculous and wasted money. Never and ever go this restaurant again.

The delivery of my sashimi meal was fast, agreeably priced, large portions, with attention to detail and came with a nice salad as well. My favorite. Not even kidding.

Ordered delivery. Got Tempura Calamari, which was cold when it arrived. Tasted fine after I heated it up in the microwave. Miso soup was also almost totally cold. The avocado on both of the sushi rolls looked brown, like they had cut it open the previous day or something. Not a lot of flavor. Won’t be ordering from them again.

Worst sushi I’ve ever had! Ordered in and I had to throw it away because the smell of rotting fish was so strong just from opening the container! I call the restaurant several times and asked for the manager but the phone kept breaking up so I was never able to tell the manager. I would not recommend this place to anyone!

One of our rolls was slimy and very old, with a bad smell. She would not replace or remove the charge from our bill. She said it was supposed to be like that. The water glasses were dirty and the water tasted funny. Don’t go here, it is very dirty.

This place is okay – I’d give it a C. It gets the job done for Japanese delivery in what is essentially No Man’s Land(north Fremont). It’s decent when you’re craving sushi and want to order in, but it’s definitely too overpriced and not as fresh as I’d like it to be.

We ordered dinner here through Bite Squad. It was bad. The Yakisoba noodles taste like they are made with ketchup and the noodles are over cooked. The sushi rice was crumbly and dry and it just wasn’t that great. For $ 90 we could have gotten good quality sushi elsewhere. This is definitely not a repeat.

I wish I could give it 1.5 star. Sashimi is fresh but other things are not. Dirty restroom and plates. I guess I will be food poisoned. Will not come back.

the food is less than 3 stars. not horrible but not something you would pay above market price for. these are notable points of observation: * $ 18 for a bento box in a neighborhood(and a little run down looking) joint, seriously? * $ 80 for sushi dinner for 2? you would think you are dining at the fine joint in a posh part of tokyo. * mushy frozen carrot chunks, which were(over) cooked but we could tell they came from the frozen section of a supermarket, were found our nabeyaki udon($ 12.99 by the way) the prices just do not reflect the hole-in-the-wall quality and setting. if you love sushi, there are other places that can deliver good quality and experience for a lot less.

Food poisoning — hard to pinpoint the cause but I believe mine is from Mori. It’s the last food I had and the only that day prior to symptom onset. I ordered delivery on Fri night which was here in an hour, as promised. Taste was average. What followed is a sleepless night and canceling all my plans for a sunny Saturday.

I’ve gone here so many times, each time thinking it will be better than the last. I have officially decided that I will not be going back again. The only reason I am giving them 3 instead of 2 stars is because of their service. While they aren’t very helpful and tend to be cold, it’s obvious this is a family business and I feel bad bashing them. I usually order some type of sushi, and tempura which seems to be the best thing on the menu. My friend got the bento box(around $ 20) and nothing was fresh. The udon soup isn’t bad, but the yakisoba is atrocious. It was super saucy and not even recognizable. If you go here, dine-in and only get sushi and tempura. Overall mediocre and I don’t know why I waste $ 60 going here to feed a family of three. They have been around this far so they must be doing something right.

Not good. Very disappointing. Some of the worst food i’ve ever had. They must have been trying to make it bad.

This review is primarily based on delivery time. The food was okay but it took almost 2 hours to get our food. I ordered right when they opened on a Sunday night. Don’t see myself ordering again after such a negative experience.

We were huge Mori fans with the previous owners. We would brag and brag to our friends that not only did we have a sushi place that delivered, but it was REALLYGOODSUSHI! Man, summer nights were the best, when we didn’t feel like eating and could call in a big order of yum. But new ownership took over a while back, and those good times are way way over. We didn’t mind spending more at the old Mori – it was worth the expense. This new owner has even higher prices, which is tough to stomach. They have some specialty items that sounded interesting, and wanting to give them a fair shake, we made an exceptionally large order, including both some of the classic items we usually enjoy at any sushi place, as well as some of their signature dishes. The order took forever to be delivered, but we figured maybe they were busy. I am not prone to exaggeration, so believe me when I say it was all – all of it – awful. Like, took a bite of each thing and wouldn’t eat any more of it. It was a huge waste of money, nothing was done well or tasted fresh. Their signature items were overworked and in some cases just sopping with overly sweet sauces which overpowered the main ingredients. The appetizers were positively anemic and lacked flavor. We were super disappointed. On reading more reviews, we can see it wasn’t a fluke. Sadly our beloved Mori of old is gone. R.I.P.

My sister was starving and decided to use the eat 24 app. Mori sushi was one of the options thinking it would be good. She ordered the chicken katsu, tempura roll, and unagi roll. First of all, if I could give this 0 stars I would. The wait was an hour, and took the driver 10 – 15 minutes to find our place. Once the food arrived, our hunger was immediately stopped by the over cooked, over breaded chicken katsu. Seriously some parts of the chicken were so overcooked, it was inedible. The sushi was mediocre. I would have better luck getting sushi at my local QFC store and that’s saying a lot. I don’t tend to write reviews so negatively but the food was really disappointing.

Impressively bad, I did a delivery order through Unilocal via Eat24. After an hour I called to check on the order and the girl said it was on the way. I called again 25 minutes later(it’s two blocks from my house) and I spoke with a man who said they had no record of my order. No apology just«no conformation code, no delivery». I’ve ordered from them before and I don’t mind waiting but this was ridiculous.

Wish I could say something good about their food, but after waiting over an hour(the expected delivery time), we got a call saying they were going to be late. Another half hour later, a second call saying the driver was going to be a while still. Never once did they offer to comp our food or anything of the like, no real apology. Just no food. And we ordered at around 2:30 on a Friday(far from peak hours). Completely ridiculous. Don’t offer delivery if you can’t deliver. Now I’m hangry and left with little recourse other than writing this review.

We ordered delivery through Eat24 from Mori — and wow what a letdown. Their food is WAY overpriced for the portions you get, they use STYROFOAM containers which are not NOTALLOWED in the city of Seattle, and their driver claimed that he had no change — which ultimately was his loss, as his tip only ended up being $ 1 and change(we paid in cash and only had $ 20s and $ 10s to pay with. Their udon contained a TON of onions and barely any chicken and the vinegar taste overpowered anything else. The potstickers were tiny and tasted like they had been frozen and just heated up/pan fried for a quick few seconds. Never. Again.

In short: Regret. Longer version: We ordered off Grubhub for delivery so we could relax after work and got an estimated time of 1hour 15mins, which already seemed long but we were ok with it. At the estimated arrival time, the restaurant called and the guy said they were very busy and that traffic was terrible(why are you calling to complain to me??) and asked if it was ok that they were going to be another 30mins. We had already been charged by Grubhub so we said ok. We made some popcorn to tie us over. They did deliver within that 30min timeframe but when the food came, most of it was not what the menu described. The calamari had sweet and sour sauce drizzled all over it, instead of the side of tempura sauce as promised. This made the breading soggy and syrupy sweet. The fire dragon roll had salmon skin on top, instead of extra tuna as described. They also charge $ 4.99 for delivery with a minimum of $ 30 order. The other rolls we ordered were sub-par and expensive for simple rolls. It was $ 45 poorly spent and I also regret tipping, unknowingly that it would take 1hr 45mins. Lesson learned, will not patron again.

I will not bother physically stopping in at this restaurant– They may have failed at delivering over priced sub-par Unagi but I believe in second chances. sometimes delivery just plain old sucks. The food wasn’t described as is and when my order was delivered it was warm at most– I wasn’t more than a 10min drive away. What prompted this 1 star review: getting attacked verbally from people who are copy & pasting reviews and then attempting to raise the restaurant ratings by doing so. Come on– I’m not asking you to commit Hari Kari, what I’m asking you to do is update your descriptions of menu items. Sorry but not sorry Mori Sushi, I don’t like writing one star reviews, you’ve left a bad taste in my mouth long after I ordered and you truly earned this one!

They *delivered* a tasty sashimi sampler to my house when I was injured and couldn’t drive. The fish was really excellent and included some less comon stuff including what I thought was amberjack. At first I thought price was a bit high but pieces were large enough that I could only eat six of twelve pieces of sashimi in one sitting and then I had a second feast again for dinner. Tasty fish + huge portions + delivered promptly = five stars

After the Seahawks lost the Superbowl my friend and I called around to multiple sushi places to drown our sorrows in sushi and sake. This was the only place that was open on a Sunday evening and wasn’t closed for the Super Bowl. They had four different types of sake. We ordered the Nigori sake with a sushi platter. Fish was not super fresh but it also did not make any of us sick the next day. The décor was more like the 19 seventies with a lot of cushy benches and booths. I would come back again if I had late night sushi cravings everywhere else is closed again.

[Used Eat24] Sushi was passable, miso was cold when it arrived. Ordered Matsu bento box, arrived without salad or sushi(which the app claimed it comes with)…called about it, evidently eat24 has an incorrect menu… but for 17 dollars, the meager amount of chicken(ordered spicy, got what I assume is regular, or the weakest spicy ever) and the soggy tempura was extraordinarily underwhelming. Chicken teriyaki was decent. Ordered ~$ 70 in food for 3 people, and was definitely not enough food to fill all of us. I had a lot of difficulty understanding the person on the phone when I tried to make a complaint. Will not order from again.

I’ve lived behind Mori’s for years. You couldn’t pay me to eat there. There was a huge dead rat in the air vent to the kitchen for the entire summer of 2012. Link to King County restaurant inspections for Mori’s:

Had been our«go to» place for a while, looks like we’ve been coming here since 2007. New ownership and sadly misses the spot in so many ways. Sushi«chef» needed help on figuring out what was being ordered, that was a bit scary. He didn’t know what types of sushi were suppose to go on the bento boxes/combo meals. Prices have gone up and size of the portions have gone down. Okay service, but they still served crappy tea, there is no excuse for that.
