I tried great coffee in Seattle and I made up my mind to try tea here. I ordered berry tea and lemon pops crêpe here. The staff here was very nice. I enjoy the simply environment and it is some kind of like a exploratory. The tea freshed my day!

Fantastic tea and the sweet crepes were delicious. We returned to order more for our friends we were visiting. Everyone’s food looked delish!

A proper tea shop in Seattle. The biggest reason why I’m sad that I don’t live in this state. I dropped by when it had just opened in the morning, and wasn’t sure if it was open. I should’ve just tried the door. If you come here, you are coming for the tea. They have an extensive menu, tell you the optimal brewing time, and will refill your pot. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. If you don’t know much about tea, they’ll help you choose one that you like. I personally know quite a bit about tea, having volunteered at the SF and NW tea festivals in the past, and I can vouch for the tea selections I’ve tried. They also make crepes, which are wonderful and light. But really, the biggest draw is their tea selection. I wish there were more tea cafes where you could just sit and have a proper cuppa to start your day. Next time I’m near Seattle, I’ll be making it a point to stop by, no matter how early I have to wake up for it.

Good selection of teas with a book that will tell you what’s in each one. Free wifi, polite staff.

Recently visited Miro Tea because of all the Unilocal reviews and being a huge tea fan I wanted to see what it was all about. Honestly disappointed doesn’t even begin to describe my experience here. Although the location is great and they have outdoor seating(i.e. dog friendly) that’s where the positives ended. Anything with Milk here is terrible! My fiancée tried the Hot Chocolate and it was disgusting. I had, what I believe was a Chai Latte, although I ordered a Chai Yerba Matte, and it didn’t taste like Chai or any latte I’ve had. We couldn’t even finish our drinks. We will not be returning here!

Good atmosphere to hang out on a lazy afternoon. Tea is good and decent priced(around 4 bucks for latte drinks). They have sandwiches which were pretty great too. Matcha latte and London Fog were both good. We had ham sandwich. They also have board games.

Love this place. Got a Unilocal recommendation and was not disappointed. A good space with decent seating and the batistas made an awesome evening tea recommendation. Glad we changed our minds about coffee instead of coffee. So chill, and if you’re needing a trendy place to study or read, this spot would be it. Definitely will come back to try some more. Just opening up to the tea experience and am psyched to learn more.

Harvest crêpe is a 5 star item! It tastes so good. The staff are friendly and nice during Sunday peak time, too.

My favorite tea spot to hit up at night. Good bites to eat and spectacular teas to choose from. Also located in the great heart of Ballard, cute shop, quite comfortable. Recommend to anyone.

Absolutely loved this place while staying with friends in Ballard. I could be convinced to move to Seattle just so I could go to Miro everyday. It’s like the place I’ve always looked for but never found, until now. Unbelievably large selection of teas. I was blown away. And crepes to boot! What a wonder. Sitting at one of the small tables, looking out the front window at the rain on a busy Saturday was perfect people watching and reading time. GOHERE!

This place has an assortment of teas and some of which are out of the ordinary. I ordered a green tea matcha latte and it was meh, nothing to write home about. It lacked a lot of flavor components and seemed really watered down. Fresh Flours down the way has a better tasting green tea match latte. The motif was inviting, but the only thing was it was hard to find somewhere to sit. I waited a few minutes till a party left because I didn’t want to bare sitting out in the cold where it was also raining. Although, I definitely want to try out their chai selections on my next visit.

I tried the matcha latte which was on their menu posted up on the wall. Thoroughly surprised although it wasn’t very foamy. Love the atmosphere all though it was a little loud. I came during the Ballard Farmers Market, so I think it was busier than usual. Looked through their tea menu and they have a very large selection of different teas to choose from. I’d come back. Also interested to see what the vibe is during a weeknight.

Our second stop in at this sleek, bright tea shop. Great jazz, plug ins and plenty of tables, it caters to true tea drinkers, with over 200 types of loose leaf teas to choose from. Tea is properly brewed at a leisurely pace in a glass teapot, served over a votive candle to keep it hot, and served in glass tea mugs. Lots of locals hang out in this pleasant space for free wifi and tea. No coffee is available here(go next door for coffee. Next door does not carry tea so it is a nice pairing). They do offer pastries, cookies, sandwiches and crepes with some interesting combos. On our first visit, we shared a pot of lovely Irish Breakfast tea, our favorite. Next time we went exotic with golden monkey supreme tea. Their book on the counter has a good description of what to expect, rather like wine descriptions that I am more familiar with, and the monkey tea did have a rather woody flavor. A great place to hang out on a rainy afternoon, they are open from 8 am until 10 pm.

If tea is your thing, this is your go to place in Ballard. They do tea, and only tea. You can order a pot of tea and select from 200 varieties! The staff are pleasant, thorough and dedicated. They will«serve no tea before its time» so on busy mornings expect a moderate wait while they brew your choice to their exacting standards. The café has a fair number of seating and standing options for enjoying your tea. The display case has a good variety of tasty pastries and cookies. The menu board advertises some interesting choices in crepes and sandwiches that looked great. A great place for tea drinkers. If coffee is your thing, sorry!

I’ve fallen in love with this place. Their tea is super authentic and not watered down. The employees are very informative and inviting. My co-worker loves the matcha latte with honey, and I can’t get enough of their fruity berry teas. Definitely the go to place on a cold winter day, rainy gloomy day, or even a bright sunny day. They offer cold drinks as well as hot warm tea.

Stumbled upon Miro while in Ballard for a show. The interior is super cute, definitely a place you would want to sit in for awhile. They have a HUGE tea selection as well as pastries and crepes. I got the Apricot Peach Black tea. So good! I’m usually not in Ballard but I will for sure make a return visit.

The tea I had here was fantastic. I’m looking forward to going back and buying some black tea to use at home. They have samples and the couple that I’ve tried were surprisingly good. I really haven’t had any good tea in the U.S. other than here. Regular grocery stores sell garbage. And tea stores are a rare find especially really good like this one. The crêpe was ok. Nothing to write home about. It’s also next to the farmers market if you need an excuse to come to this part of town for the tea :))

Yet once again here I am on the quest for a great tea place and a good cup of tea. I was coming to Ballard to meet an old friend from the Peace Corps and so I figured I would check this place out. I was pleased that there is a lot of street parking in the area. This is always a good thing. The place has an industrial yet casual feel to it. Most of the chairs look very uncomfortable but there are a few(4) that are cushioned and a sofa(1) that I decided to sit my butt down on. They actually have some of the exact wooden chairs I saw a lot of in classrooms in Korea. They were not comfortable there and not comfortable here either. I remember if you push back hard enough on them they’ll break… But that’s a completely different story. Back to Miro… The people who work here are very knowledgable and I came in and instead of looking at the menu decided to ask for some recommendations. I immediately liked that the guy I asked was honest and said he does not drink Jasmine tea instead of just telling me he did. Props for that! A woman over by the tea prep area recommended a jasmine tea for me and it sounded good. I’m drinking it now and it is good. jasmine pearls are hard to mess up unless they are seeped too long. But these were good Jasmine pearls. I had a very interesting conversation with a woman who was a cartographer and we had a great conversation about geography. If you don’t know your geography you’ll never know where you are in relation to everything else in the world. Fortunately we have GPS now though. I think it’s great that this place will actually put your remaining tea from the pot into a to go cup if needed. That is a great thing for people who don’t want to waste their tea. :) I would have given the place 5 stars but I did not think it was appropriate that the two people behind the counter were dropping the F-bomb repeatedly while a young kid is about ten feet away from them with her parents. I could tell by the look on the woman’s face she was not happy about it. They got their tea to go and left. Overall a very positive experience except for the last mentioned paragraph. I’ll be back and try another tea next time. Thanks for the recommendation on the Jasmine tea, it was awesome.

LOVE everything about this place. Not being a huge coffee-drinker, Miro is a perfect find for my herbal, iced, black tea needs, hot tea drinks/lattes, and herbal infusions in the summer. Their menu is seriously awesome. They also have a selection of food — sandwiches, crepes, and SOMANYGF/DF treat options! Great ambiance, beautiful treated wood furniture, lots of seating and outlets, wifi, great location — always stop by for a tea during the ballard market.

I ordered the London Fog and their Christy crêpe for lunch. The 4 stars are solely for the London Fog. The Christy crêpe, however, was a bit disappointing. London Fog — probably the best one you’ll ever taste in the Ballard area. I liked how the sweetness didn’t overpower the actual Earl Grey taste. Christy crêpe — size was big, but what was inside was very disappointing. I opened the flap of the crêpe, only to find bunch of spinach. Thats it. & They only gave me one small, thin slice of prosciutto for the whole thing. And one small egg. I ate the prosciutto & egg in two bites, which left me to finish the whole crêpe with just spinach. No seasoning, no spread, no jam whatsoever to accompany it. Just imagine crepes and spinach by itself. Not that tasty. For the price, definitely not worth it. Perhaps one of their sweet crepes will be better.

Open well lit(natural light) shop with indoor and outdoor seating options. Staff was really friendly and walked me through their menu and was able to recommend offhand a tea when I asked about a good White. Lots of traditional hot and cold options as well as infusions and lattes. Lots of food options as well(sandwiches, crepes and typical coffee house type goodies) They have a cute little steeped pot tasting bar of about 4 options if you want to taste some brewed varieties. They have over 200 options for tea. They only sell tea. It seems you can also get their loose tea in canisters to take home. I can’t judge the authentic taste of their tea since I ordered a flavored one; it seemed nice enough that I’ll be back to try more.
