I called Metamorphic Massage as recommended by my insurance, after experiencing a lot of hip, back and neck pain. Nikki has helped me recover and helped me improve my muscle strength, flexibility and posture in support of my mobility and athletic goals. Now I have a solid and reliable place to call and get pain relief and bounce back from pain much more quickly. Thank you Nikki!

I greatly and truly appreciate Nikk’si help. I have been into sports all my life and recently into distance running for the last 3 years. I ran into all kinds of issues after six months into the sport. I tried various chiropractors, physical therapists and sort of gave up on them. One thing I did not want to give up was running and glad I found Nikki Nichols. I never write reviews but had to write the first one of her. She listens, understands and helps you get back to your sports. She is extremely professional and always result oriented. Highly recommended !

I really appreciated Nikki’s unique style and techniques. I went in with a lot of tension in my neck and shoulders that was also linked to some tendinitis in my arms. I felt a lot of relief after the massage. Nikki also took a little bit of time to work on an old injury of mine and after our time together that felt better than it had in years! I found Nikki while I was on vacation in Seattle from New York so unfortunately I can’t go back right away but if I travel there again she will be one of the places I’d like to visit :-)

I went to see Nikki recently after a hard skiing weekend. I was so sore, it hurt to walk and I was sure I would be hurting bad for 3 more days. I felt great walking out. I was actually surprised how much it helped right then. The next day I felt so much better than I would have without the massage. I am sure of it. :-) Thanks, it made me want to go push my body hard again and not worry about the pain of recovery.

As a single mother of a child with autism, I take my health seriously. I am under high amounts of stress, which affect me physically, emotionally, and mentally. Part of my overall self care includes regular body work. When I relocated to Seattle, I saw Nikki’s card at the gym, so I gave her a try. Now I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Having had several massages from various therapists in the past, I could tell quickly what sets Nikki apart. She doesn’t just massage my body, she STRETCHES it. There is a big difference. And that’s what I need to relief tension and stress. Also, she uses various shaped hot stones to reach difficult spots. Another thing I notice is that when I get off the table I don’t feel all greasy. I put my clothes right back on without feeling like I need to go home and take a shower.

I greatly appreciate Nikki’s massage skills. I came to her table with an aching lower back and a lot of stress. She alleviate the back pain and helped me to get grounded and relaxed. Nikki is very experienced, has strong hands, and a finely-tuned sense of what the client needs. In my case, she not only found the right muscle groups to work on but also encouraged me to be quiet and let my mind rest. Nikki also incorporates hot stones in the massage — a delicious experience.

I was introduced to Nikki by word of mouth as a massage therapist who focuses on athletes and their particular needs. I have played multiple sports such as rugby, water polo, swimming, golf, softball, soccer, and grass hockey. I am currently focused on being an age group triathlete. I have beaten and bumped my body a lot throughout the years. My goals in massage therapy are to prevent more damage to my muscles and joints, and relieve the pain from training for a multi-sport event. Nikki is sensitive and concerned about my specific injuries and always asks me what I would like her to focus on during the massage. I appreciate her professional attitude specifically aimed towards an athlete. Her office is in her home which I appreciate because it has more of a personal feel to it. Above all else, Nikki has tons of knowledge when it comes to the muscles and functioning and she is more than willing to share her knowledge. I would recommend Nikki to others especially if they are interested in sports massage with a focus on relieving muscle and joint pain.

Having an athletic background and visiting many massage therapists over a number of years, I believe that Nikki is the best massage therapist I have had do work on me. There are two things that set her apart in my mind: how in tune she is with the needs of her clients and her incredible hands. Every time I go to her, I am amazed how she is instantly in tune with what is happening with my body and how she is able to find the areas that need work the most without me saying anything. Since I started going to her, I have had massages by many other massage practitioners. None of them have Nikki’s hands. Nikki’s hands are the right combination of strength and pliability. She has the ability to get deep into a muscle to address an issue, yet her touch is soft enough so that at the end of the session, you do not feel like you have been beaten up. Whether you are an athlete, a weekend warrior or just want to get some quality bodywork, I highly recommend going to Nikki and letting her take care of you.

I thought Nikki was going to be awesome since was a massage therapist at the Olympics. Turns out they didn’t hire her, but she volunteered, so I should have never considered it as a great qualification of hers. Well, I did not get a deep tissue massage as I had requested, and overall I felt it was a total waste of my money. She gave me a whole body massage, even though I had requested she focus on a few problem areas. Additionally, her hands were off of my body for probably a third of the time. She fiddled with the oil bottle, which remained at the other side of the room and she kept walking over to it. Then the blinds remained open in this room in her house, which lets a lot of light onto you face, and of course the privacy concerns are a little unsettling. Lastly, she«dabbled» in using warm stones on me. That is nothing I wanted her to spend time on. We should have discussed that option ahead of time. So that was just more time spent NOT doing any deep muscle work. Also, the amount of paperwork and medical background data you need to give her are a little premature– since you won’t be returning to continue the relationship.

I went to Nikki Nichols, owner of Metamorphic Massage for two pregnancy massages. While the massages themselves were ok, I found myself uneasy in her home. The room that she uses was very cluttered and had a mismatch of… well, everything from the furniture to the sheets on the massage table. Now, I’m an aesthetic person, so maybe this bothers me more than others, but when someone is doing massages out of their home, it seems they would attempt to make it a nice setting. Her massage room is not very relaxing at all. Then there was the fact that she almost argued with me about whether or not my massage was going to be covered by my insurance. I’d checked multiple times, so it annoyed me that she was almost rude about whether the claim would be denied or not. I’ve just received two $ 25 bills in addition to the $ 25 copay that I’d paid her at the time of each massage. This is AFTER my insurance paid for the claims. I realize I should have checked to see how much she charged, but since I’ve had a ton of massages and never had one cost more than $ 75(for a 60 minute massage) it didn’t occur to me that it would be an issue. For the price she charged, I could have gone to an actual spa, which would have been in a nicer setting and likely more professional and relaxing. To boot, when I got the bills, she didn’t even send a return envelope with them and since we were out, I had to make a trip to the store just to send her a payment I was pissed about sending to start with(this is while toting a newborn around – which, anyone who has one knows isn’t the easiest thing). An envelope may seem like a small thing to some, and they would be right, so why not just stick one in with the bill? I mean, come on, if you are a business person, think of these things. Needless to say, I would not go back. She was nice, and the massage was fair, but nothing to write home about.
