I’m so irritated! We ordered a cake for my sons birthday and since I’m not from Seattle and my sister is, I made her pick up the cake, when the cake arrived to me, I opened it and I was angry! The lady said she will make the cake beautiful! It doesn’t even look like the cake of how I wanted! I’m very very very disappointed! And I paid extra for the extra décor, LIES!!!

Went here in June to asking for price for our wedding cake. The lady told us the cake for 50 guests around $ 120 and take about only 1 day to completed. So one week before our wedding came back and we told the lady we want to order the cake for our wedding she told us the price for 5o guests will be 380 and it’s take about a week to finish it. I was like seriously??? That isn’t what she told us last time. Very unprofessional. Plus I try their cake before it’s wasn’t that good either.

Ordered a cake here for fathers day to be picked up at 10:30 and doors were closed when I showed. Very unprofessional.

I love this place! They have so many choices of pastries to choose from and they’re pretty cheap too! Always yummy! I want to try everything one day! It’s so nice that’s it super close to my house. :3

I always picked up the sponge chiffon cakes here, with lemon, mango, coconut or mocha favors, and never leave without a thousand year old egg flaky cake… The baker owner is pretty skillful here…

I went for some stuff to try out and glad I went. The name actually was part reason because sometimes charming names just draw me in. Inside, it was very clean, cheery and nicer compared to the former business in this spot. Although, from the outside, the shelves look rather too brightly lit. With these types of bakeries come flavors that don’t sound appealing to me. At. All. For example(no offense!), buns/pastries with pineapple and coconut. So, looking still, I decided to get 2 items that caught my glance: a curry beef bun and the red bean inverted spiral pastry thing(it looks really neat!): –Curry Beef Bun: Nice curry flavor, beef seemed a bit light and overall didn’t match my density preference. –Red Bean Inverted Spiral Pastry Thing: Now this is my kind of desert! Not sweet at all, very subtle but sufficient, room-to-chilled temperature and just thick enough… plus the sweet design, to boot(nerd alert!). The girl that night was ok. The walls look neat with their past décor. I may have to try their drinks/coffee next time.

So I thought I give this place a try because I wanted some pineapple crusted bun. I grabbed that plus the coconut cocktail bun and saw they had the curry pastry that my husband loves. In short, husband hated the curry pastry and didn’t even finish it. He had to throw it out, being Chinese we’re not big on being wasteful but it was horrible in his opinion. The coconut cocktail bun wasn’t what I’m use to from the bakeries in Chinatown. It was too sweet IMO. Pineapple bun was huge but that was it, just big in size. Taste wasn’t there. I highly doubt I’ll be back

Wow !! … Very nice. I have traveled a lot and this is a Great Asian ‘with a blend of Western’ Bakery. Lisa was so helpful and told me all about her products. She works very hard and long hours. I was delighted with her careing service and samples of goodies. The coffee was very good and the prices were just right. I bought a number if items and so far I am pleased with each one. Still have more to try. While my massage office is in Bellevue, I think it ‘s worth the adventure to get there. Next time I will sit out front and people watch while I enjoy my coffee and goodies. Then buy a loaf of Coconut Toast. There was and intersting(didn’t taste yet) Grape Toast Loaf a Coconut Loaf and something else. Some of these goodies would go great with a nice high quality tea and friends. The Birthday Cakes looked most yummy. I understand they have one location in Oregon and 2 in AZ. Please set up a bakery in Bellevue. Thank you Lisa.

\[ ^ O ^ ]/whoo hoo! this bakery is pretty darn good! although my all time favorite is still Regent Bakery, but this is so close to my house and their pastries are soooo goooooood! the cakes look very colorful, lucky me they had samples out! mmm it was very moist, just the right sweetness, spongy, creamy and even tangy! this HAS to be eaten cold so that the cream will have a better texture and overall flavor when eaten. FYI these are all Hong Kong style pastries with a few Japanese sponge cakes. I’d say that the prices are well beyond reasonable! seriously $ 1.10 for like almost everything?! ohh ohh and the Char Siu Bao or Chinese steamed buns are killers! we bought a couple home, sprinkled them with a little water, cover them with a small salad bowl and nuke for one minute… voila! supper fluffy yummyliciousness in a bun. ahhhh super awesome. I can go to bed happy tonight. I think I’ll extra drool too.

Found this bakery recently near one of my favorite dim sum restaurants. It’s easy to miss since it only has a small, plain sign over the door, but a lucky find to stumble across. They have a good variety of pastries, cakes, and cookies; some traditional favorites, and some geared more toward western tastes, but everything I’ve tried has been yummy. Perfectly balanced to be delicious, but not overly sweet. Some items I’ve only found made as well in bakeries up in Canada. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Well worth a visit, and a great addition to the neighborhood.

Chinese desserts and I get along really well, even though we don’t speak the same language. They’re not too sweet, and have confection flavors that always appeal to me :) Meianna’s is in the same complex as the MLK Viet Wah; I’ve been to the other bakeries in the same complex, but I think Meianna’s is a lot better. I’ve been in a couple of times and the selection is pretty good! A majority of the non-refrigerated goods are spaced evenly on the shelves along the wall, and looks library-ish as a result. Though not displayed in the most«eat-with-the-eyes-first» kind of way, the variety is a little more than I’m used to: Japanese and Chinese sponge cakes, coconut sesame brittle, pineapple and coconut buns, red bean/preserved ginger and egg yolk pastries and more. The prices are completely comparable to every other Asian bakery. I usually pick up almond cookies for the house but they were smaller than ones that I can get in the ID for the same price, so I have passed on them. I did have the blueberry mousse cake slice($ 3.75) and it was lovely. Layered twice with mousse, and twice with a white sponge cake, I could really taste the blueberry flavor and the mousse even had the slight tanginess like you would get with fresh blueberries ^_^ The pineapple poundcake was okay(not very pineappley) and I will say that I liked the sesame coconut brittle-like cookies. It’s a good little find. They’re open at 7am(and serve breakfast sandwiches.) I’ll check in periodically and try more of their stuff soon and update my review if anything really knocks my socks off!
