Convenient for the symphony but make sure you get an early reservation — the staff appear not to know or care when the show starts. Food was pretty good but tiny, tiny portions. The steak came with 3 spears of asparagus and 3 tiny potatoes cut in half. At an average of over $ 60 a head I expect more. Sorry guys — tasty but not worth the money or the stress of missing the performance.

My wife and I had dinner before a symphony concert last weekend, and found the experience to be mostly positive. Unlike some commenters, we were very well served by the waiting staff, and all of our needs were met. The food was okay, but not as good as the menu descriptions promised — my halibut(a special that night) was somewhat overcooked, and the basil cream sauce was very bland. The scallops from the regular menu were nicely cooked, but again the sauce that accompanied them was nothing special. The prices seemed fair for what we got, although in another situation they might be on the high side. This was an acceptable meal and very convenient for someone attending the symphony or other event in Benaroya Hall.

Outstanding place to go before a show. Perfect, we had a great brunch before the matinée. Excellent. I heard it’s also opened during intermissions.

This is a very nice place to have a quiet meal before a concert or recital. The two of us had a starter cheese/meat board, an entrée each, one drink each, and a dessert. That came to less than $ 80 before tip. The portion of red wine per glass was more than most places give. The food was tasty and spiced very nicely. Service was excellent.

This restaurant is a very convenient place to have dinner before an event at Benaroya Hall, and much more quiet and comfortable than eating at Wolfgang Puck’s in the lobby. Their situation is significantly different from most restaurants, in that they are open only when events are scheduled at Benaroya. It appears that only ticketed customers are allowed access to Measure. Even worse, from a business perspective, is that there’s really only one sitting in the evening, as performances begin at 7:30 or 8:00. That’s a very challenging business model. I expect to pay higher prices in such a situation. The problem is that the portions are ridiculously small. I ordered a Dungeness Crab Salad($ 18.00). For that price, I expected a dinner-sized salad, especially since it was listed on the menu in the«Salads» section, not with the appetizers. The salad was tasty and well-presented. However, it consisted of an ice-cream-scoop-sized dollop of crab meat, topped by a small amount of greens, along with a few marble-sized melon balls. When we asked the server about the portion size, she said that it was intended to be an appetizer,(though the menu didn’t indicate that). My wife had some excellent beet risotto that was served in a bowl, for about the same price. The portion was better — roughly like a bowl of cereal — but didn’t qualify as a reasonable entrée portion. We were served a small slice of excellent sourdough bread after being seated, along with some tasty butter. Wine prices were typical for a restaurant, with several being also offered by the glass. Even ordering two entrees wouldn’t be considered filling for most people, and would cost $ 35 – 40. Service was okay, but not great. We’ll probably eat elsewhere prior to attending performances at Benaroya.

I am in favor of smaller portions; however, the items that we had were more for a tasting menu than for a meal. Our food was delicious, what there was of it; 2 bites of potatoes with my 6 bites of duck. Service was great and we prefer the quieter setting to the crowds at the other Puck’s at Benaroya Hall. We will go back here and probably order an appetizer, salad AND ‘meal’ for our ‘tasting’!

This is the first restaurant that has exhausted my patience and forced me to walk out. It’s a shame, since I would probably have enjoyed my order… We arrived at 6:10 for a 6:15 reservation. After we were seated, the wait started. Two waiters kept running to other tables, but never approached us. At around 6:20 someone finally brought us water, and and 6:30 the waiter strolled to our table and took our order: appetizers, drinks, and the entrées. He then continued to run to other tables, and would no longer look in our directions. A few minutes later, we received a slice of bread. This is the first restaurant I’ve seen where the server first asks what kind of bread we’d like, then hands over a single slice, and proceeds to the next table. Since we’d already been sitting for almost half an hour, that slice of bread disappeared immediately.(Admittedly, their olive bread was very good.) Another ten minutes went by. The server offered another, err, quarter-slice – the tiniest piece of bread I’ve ever been offered. It was barely enough for a single bite: a square piece measuring 1.5″ along the side. Needless to say, that slice disappeared immediately as well. A little while later, when our waiter was close enough, we called him over and asked him for our drinks. He said he’d go and check, walked over to the computer, and typed something. Immediately, the barman started mixing the drinks, which we received at around 6:50. Not wanting to get drunk on an empty stomach, we took small sips and moved them aside. Finally, our experience with the restaurant ended shortly after 7:00, when the waiter came up to us and informed us that there was a mix-up at the«kitchen» and that our order was lost.(Looking back, he probably successfully forgot to enter our order just like he forgot our drinks.) Then he asked us what *we* wanted to do. Being a waiter means that you have to take responsibility for all mistakes of the restaurant. Usually, this means rushing the order, offering a discount, adding extra appetizers, or something similar. Instead, the only choice we were given was either re-ordering our entrées, or not re-ordering them. Given our lack of confidence in the restaurant’s timeliness, and the fact that the symphony would start at 8, we simply got up and left. Other the plus side, the turkey dinner at Pucks was pretty good, and was only $ 12.
