McCloud Moving

I have used them twice, in 2005 and 2009, and had a great experience. Super workers. Nothing broken. The lead guy took great care in how his truck was packed to ensure nothing fell or broke. Very reasonable in cost. On time. I’d use them again in a heart beat, if they’re still in business.

I’ve had plenty of movers in my life. I will not move without McCloud. They are top and bottom the best movers imaginable, and their price is right (and they don’t bait and switch on estimates).
Seriously, you would be majorly amiss by not using them.

I have used them 2x, and a 3^rd is coming up. These folks are kind, affordable, honest and careful. Would recommend them to anyone.

The work McCloud did for us on two separate moves was great… affordable, careful, and absolutely no damage to any of our furniture or boxes. They would have gotten a 5 stars!
However, upon researching them for yet another move, I discovered they were ordered to shut down by the Utilities & Transportation
Commission in 2010:
Olympia, Wash. — State regulators ordered a Seattle-​based residential moving company shut down after the business violated consumer protection laws by operating illegally.
The Washington Utilities and Transportation Commission (UTC) is requiring McCloud Moving, Inc., to cease and desist all residential moves within the state for operating without a valid permit. The company refused to respond to repeated notices to apply for a legal permit and comply with state consumer protection and safety regulations.
The UTC also fined the company $ 5,000 but mitigated the penalty as long as McCloud stays out of the residential moving business in Washington.
The UTC is the state agency in charge of enforcing consumer protection and safety regulations for more than 200 residential moving companies operating within the state. Movers are required to get a permit from the UTC, charge appropriate rates, carry proper insurance, drug test their drivers and keep their vehicles safely maintained. The commission does not regulate interstate moving companies.

I have used these guys twice and third time is coming up. They are very professional, friendly, efficient and careful.
The first time I got them recommended from a bunch of co workers, we had a lot of items, big and small and on the first move we had to fit most of them in a garage. They got everything packed perfectly even though I really did not think it would all fit.
The second time they moved us into a brand new two level house and again, given all the heavy furniture and fairly narrow stairs they did an excellent job without damaging the house or the furniture.
Which is why I am hiring them a third time. I asked the owner why he has not expanded business given that they are always so booked and his response was that he likes to make sure the quality of the job is not compromised. He has seen others expand and when they hire people for just moving, thing can quickly go bad with a few customers. All his crew has been with him at least 7 – 8 years.

I have used McCloud several times over the past 10 years. Twice to move, and twice moving my furniture in and out of storage for a remodel. They are really great guys, very careful, punctual, and 100% trustworthy.

Great moving company. Friendly, professional, reliable, and very careful. Ive used them several times for moving and been very happy with them each time.
