We wanted to replace our over-​the-​range fan with a microwave, which required the resizing of the cabinet above the fan. Martin did this for us and exceeded my expectations in every aspect of the project.
— Schedule: He always arrived when he said he would and completed the project according to his initial schedule.
— Cost: While bidding it, he gave us options to adjust the price (e.g. painting the cabinet doors ourselves, etc.). He completed the project true to the cost he estimated.
— Craftsmanship: He does beautiful work and we’re so pleased with the finished product.
— Friendly: He’s easy to talk to and takes the time to answer questions and talk through alternatives.
I would definitely contract him again and recommend him to anyone!

I called Martin a few weeks ago and he was able to come out soon after and give me quotes on several projects. He just built a long step for me today to connect my living and dining rooms. Martin was skilled, professional, kind, and clean. He did an excellent job, gave me a fair price, and was friendly to my little two year old running around. He was even early! Discovering I had dry rot under the windows on the corner of my house was amazingly scary. What other contractors bid at $ 10,000 to repair the area, Martin completed in around $ 3000. He was fast, thorough, dependable and came in on budget for my dry rot removal and new windows. Also, the quality of the materials he used was fantastic. I HIGHLY recommend him. We are looking forward to having him come create a new kitchen for us!

Martin has installed new interior trim & doors (in 2 of our homes), added built-​ins to our walk-​in closet to make it more functional and built cabinets for us. I needed some trim around my front door and kitchen replaced due to moisture leaking through and warping the wood. I’m not handy at all, so I turned to my real estate agent for a recommendation.
He pointed me to Martin Hill, a third generation Seattle craftsmen who usually does major contracting gigs, like completely renovating a kitchen or laying down hardwood floor. Despite the fact that all I needed was a couple of hours of carpentry work, he was happy to help out.
The cost was reasonable, but more importantly, he was extremely courteous and very accommodating. I travel frequently for work and there are only a couple of days during the week that I’m around, yet he was willing to work within my schedule. It was roughly a one week turnaround, from the time I first made contact to when the work was completed.
In this day and age of internet services and off shoring, its rare to find folks like Martin who genuinely care about their work and make customer service a priority. Anyone who needs work done on their home should definitely consider him as an option.
