They’re pretty new, but don’t underestimate the quality of the food here! I thought $ 7 for two cod fish tacos was pretty reasonable, but it also came with beans and rice! Even better. It’s not stated on the menu, which was a nice surprise and perfect for a quick meal to go. The pico de gallo was also to die for. So fresh! I don’t know if it’s because they’re new, but the owner is so so nice as well(: If I have the chance to revisit the market in the future, I will definitely stop by again.

Amazing tacos for a quick lunch on the go. I had the fried cod — comes with two tacos and rice and beans. More than filling for $ 7! I even had some left over, which we brought home for snacking later. The food stand is located by DeLaurenti’s and the magazine stand. Simple order at the counter and wait for your tacos to be prepped, which with no line at lunch hour was a breeze — no more than 7−10min. We took our food to sit in some public seating by Pike Place Chowder. The tacos themselves were just what we were looking for. Simple, no nonsense ingredients, and so tasty made to order. Fried cod was lightly breaded and done in the fryer, well-seasoned and light. Paired perfectly with the hint of heat in the chipotle cream sauce and a bite of acidic freshness with the pico and lettuce, then topped with crumbled queso blanco. Rice and beans were a nice surprise as I didn’t know they came on the side. Simple, but good. Rice was flavorful. Worth it for a quick bite if you’re strolling the market.

Delicious fish tacos, perfectly prepared! To those saying it’s expensive per taco, each one comes with a huge piece of fish. The caldo de pescado looked amazing also.

Had the tequila fish tacos with talapia. Could have had more lime flavor but quite satisfying, and they included some beans and rice in the box, too. Nice touch.

The fish tacos here were amazing! It took us a while to find it from the map location, but well worth the effort. If you’re having trouble too, it was on the south side of Pike St, inside of the open market. Unfortunately, no sitting space.

Earlier this year, Mariscos Mexico replaced sandwich maker, Zaccagni’s in the food stand space next to the front entrance of DeLaurenti’s at Pike Place Market. This has to be one of the smallest eateries in terms of square footage at the market. Given the size of this spot, it does limit the proprietors of this space in terms of what they can make and how fast it can be made. Mariscos Mexico’s offering of seafood tacos makes some sense. There are a couple spots offering Mexican food, but not seafood as a specialty. This spot seems to fill the void for marketgoers who are looking for fish tacos, rather than standard Mexican or preferring something less heavy than fish and chips. As far as food at Pike Place Market goes, this is one of the more affordable options. Everything on the menu is under $ 10 and most items are $ 7. I decided to give the cod tacos a try. As I mentioned before, the space is small so you can see your meal being made here. There isn’t any seating here as this is strictly a to go spot. However if you walk down the hall, turn left at DeLaurenti’s market entrance and walk down that hallway, you will find a large area full of tables to enjoy your meal. The tacos were okay. There are two tacos in an order. Fish portion is kind of small and there is a lot of cheese and sauce doused on top. The beans and rice were pretty standard. This meal won’t wow you, but it will fill you up alright. Mariscos Mexico is a decent food option at Pike Place Market given the price and focus on seafood tacos. Though if I really wanted seafood, I would probably get fish and chips instead. Even though Seattle is a seafood city, I feel like fish tacos is something that this town just doesn’t get right.

Fantastic fish tacos. I had grilled Key Lime tacos with grilled halibut with spanish rice and black beans. Great flavor with a good mixture of pico, slaw, avocado and, of course, fish. The portions are a bit small — the rice and beans were probably only a few spoonfuls — but two fish tacos and two side items is a good deal for $ 7. It’s a little off the beaten path since the guys throwing the fish around get all of the attention, but definitely worth checking out.

Oh man! They make a MEAN cod fish taco! YUM! :-D They’re a tad on the pricy side(coming out at about $ 3.50 per small corn tortilla taco), but they DO make up for it with tastiness. Wait… did I say«a tad»? No, that’s freaking expensive. For the price, they lose a star with me. :-/ They also lose a star for charging an extra 50¢ if you want to pay with credit. Seriously, that’s price gouging. It’s nickeling and diming like that, that leaves a sour taste in customers mouths … which is worse since they’re catering primarily to the market tourists. :-( Add tax to the 50¢, and with ONLY a cod taco order, it comes to $ 4 per taco. OUCH. :-( Hopefully they’ll figure out a better price point in the coming months, otherwise I can’t see them competing with nearby guitar playing mexican skeleton competition… The 2oz of black beans and rice side, also seems like an afterthought. A solution to their problems would be to ditch the white take-out boxes, beans & rice, and serve the two tacos on a paper plate, or rolled in a piece of tin-foil. Then they wouldn’t have to give out forks to everyone, but have them upon request. Forks are not necessary for the taco tastiness alone, and the corn tacos are traditionally a street-food anyways, so the white boxes make eating a tad awkward. It would save them MORE than 50¢ per order, and then they wouldn’t have to charge for using a credit card. Looking at the other pictures posted, perhaps they just short sheeted my order for the beans & rice… Mine: Another Unilocaler’s: Caveat Emptor, I guess.

I tried Mariscos Mexico for the first time today after walking past it time and time again in the market. I’m kicking myself for not trying it before. They had a variety of options so there is something for everyone. I tried the tequila lime fish tacos. It was a good size portion(two tacos) with black beans and rice. The fish was lightly cooked, tender, and flaky. I loved the crunch from the cabbage, fresh pico, a nice slice of avocado, and a generous drizzle tequila lime cream. All of the flavors came together so nicely and it was clear that each element of the dish was handled with care and precision. Last but not least, the price wasn’t half bad. If you are in the mood for fish tacos, look no further.

Mariscos Mexico is a small little food stall at Pike Place Market… its across from the news/magazine stand that is up front as you enter the market area. Its next to Delaurenti’s, Saffron Spice, and a mixed nuts place. No line as we came by around noon, the lady at the counter was super nice, friendly and helpful with any questions with the menu. They cook everything to order so its takes a few more minutes than usual, but its worth the wait. I decided to get the grilled fish tacos, you can get a choice of mahi mahi or salmon. Comes with 2 tacos, a scoop of spanish rice & black beans, all for about $ 8. Not a bad deal and totally hit the spot for a quick lunch. Fresh grilled fish which was super flavorful, nice jicama chunks with a mango salsa and a light crema on top… muy delicioso! The menu is mainly seafood tacos from grilled/fried fish tacos, to shrimp tacos… hence the name Mariscos which means seafood. duh! They also have a few salad options, with chips & guac/salsa as well. Great quick lunch in a busy Pike Place Market.

I had Mariscos for lunch today. I work very close to the market, so I’ve tried every fish taco in the area. These are by far the best. Fresh, made to order, light but still full flavored. As others have mentioned, these are made to order, and so worth the slight wait. You’re looking at 5 – 10 minutes perhaps. I had one other order in front of me and it was a 5 minute wait. And worth every second! — These are filling tacos! They are packed to the brim full of fresh, well-seasoned fillings and toppings. Two is plenty. — I got the Acapulco shrimp tacos. Perfectly cooked shrimp with fantastic sear flavor, and the jicama, pineapple, and mango chunks give great texture, not to mention balancing flavors. The Sweet chilli marinade and mayo give just the right amount of heat. — The menu doesn’t say it but the tacos come with a small side of black beans with cojita and rice.

The line was short — not sure if one person ahead of me constitutes an actual line but there it is – yet I had to wait quite a while for my fish tacos. As my mind wandered while standing in the almost nonexistent line, I decided that if there was a fire nearby and I had to save an adorable puppy, I would valiantly leave this taco line to save the puppy. After I got my tacos, I had to re-think the answer to that question. Sorry, adorable puppy, but these fish tacos were really good.

Delicious lime tequila fish tacos. Two tacos with fresh ingredients, rice and beans for $ 7.00. This little gem is right next to the nuts guy so you don’t have to really go and dig yourself out of the market, especially on nice days. Just a quick in and out and let the tourists do their thing. If you are expecting the fish to be made ahead of time, you are going to be not a happy camper because she cooks to order. I, for one, like that but if you are on a tight schedule, you may want to wait until you can spare an extra 5 minutes. Another little tidbit is that she will only make one order at a time, so once again, if you are in a hurry just wait until you can chill for a few extra minutes. The menu is not big but the longer you have to peruse a menu, the longer you are waiting for food.

Best fish tacos in the market? Quite possibly. Always super fresh amd made to order! I eat here a few times a week and the quality is always top notch! I love the Tequila lime or fish tacos with mango salsa. Plus you get to support a lovely team and woman-owned business! Highly recommended!

Tried this place after repeatedly walking past it while looking for lunch over the past few months. Got the Camarones a la diabla and wasn’t disappointed. Served with black beans, cojita, rice, peppers, onions, five real nice looking butterflied tiger prawns, and three corn tortillas. The sauce was SPICY, but not too much. I am a lover of spice and consider my tolerance decently high so if you are heat-averse, I would suggest trying some of the more mild and tangy tacos. They only make seafood tacos which is a nice change from Los Agaves(also great) and thus their menu is unique. Everything is under $ 10 This place is a two-person show with one operating the register(Rosa) while the other cooks everything right in front of you. This has to be one of the smallest spaces available to lease in the market. I mean smaller than a food truck’s space. There is no seating, but there is plenty nearby if you walk past the fish throwers. The food is something I would expect from a hole-in-the-wall restaurant despite it being a heavily trafficked area adjacent to the ever popular DeLaurentis. What you get isn’t pre-cooked and just assembled, it’s cooked from scratch and that freshness comes across very well. Bottom line: try something new at Mariscos Mexico.

As a denizen of the market it can prove quite difficult to find a decent place to grab lunch without waiting in lines, bumping into people, and getting that watered-down, tourist aftertaste. Maybe it’s because they are a new addition to the market family, but Mariscos Mexico isn’t quite in the limelight yet. Hey, I’m not complaining. In fact, I’d like for it to stay that way because the Acapulco Shrimp Tacos — oh, lord, I might have to sit down for this — absolutely immaculate. Look, as a born-and-bred San Diegan I’ve had some stellar seafood tacos, but this is in a league of it’s own. I had their Tequila Lime Mahi Mahi tacos as well and don’t get me wrong, that stuff was absolutely tasty, but the Camarones Acapulco is something that I would suggest any Marketgoer try at least once!

Pretty good fish tacos! We had the tequila lime mahi mahi tacos. They were very fresh and made to order! You also get a side of rice and black beans. You know, it’s not that bad, but I didn’t love it, but I didn’t hate it. The flavors were pretty mild, maybe that’s why I didn’t love it.

Four star is my max unless I would seriously consider making the meal a last meal request. So consequently 4 star is PDG because 5 means perfection or damn near. So I feel good about rating Mariscos a 4. I saw the sign go up months ago signifying the end of Zaccagni’s, and I waited and waited and thought the place would never open. Then as I walked by one day I saw a woman actually standing behind the curtain that had it closed off. She said she was opening the next day, which was now a few weeks ago, and I just now had time to get back to the market for lunch. My loss obviously. I would agree with Mary L that the portion for the price is outstanding. Two loaded tacos and a side of rice and black beans. Not sure if the cheese on the beans changes from day to day, but it was not Cotija as it was for Mary. It did not have the slight funk or characteristic squeak that you get with Cotija, I would guess queso ranchero, but that is splitting hairs at this point. Thus far I have tried the Mahi Mahi and Camarones Acapulco. There were only a few small missteps, the Mahi Mahi tacos were seasoned nicely but a tad overdone and over-sauced, the Camarones Acapulco was really delicious, and will probably be my standard, like the fish the prawns were just a bit overdone, not to the rubbery stage but trending that way. Also with the amount of salsa and sauce leaving them whole did make them somewhat unwieldy to eat, if they had done a quick chop on them the distribution in the taco would have been better. It is possible that a slightly better cooked prawn would not have come out all at once. These are basically 4 bite tacos, with 2 good sized prawns so I got 2 bites with and 2 bites without. Not bad but room for a little improvement. This is exactly the kind of place the Market needed, and what every fish taco joint in Seattle wishes they could be(I am looking at you Blue Water Taco and Taco Del Mar)

As someone who works in the Pike Place market, I have been excited for these guys to open for a while. The sign has been hanging for several months. Today I got to try the vegetable tacos and I was very happy with my order. For $ 6 I got two tacos with my choice of corn or flour tortillas, sauteed veggies, pico, and avocado. On the side was a nice portion of rice and black beans with cojita cheese. I was very pleased with the portion, perfect for lunch but not so large that I feel sick. My only complaint was that it could have been seasoned a bit more strongly, but next time I will just add some salsa. Very tasty, convenient, clean and friendly! They will be seeing me a lot!
