The empanadas are FANTASTIC! I was really craving empanadas after my plane landed & found them on Unilocal.Ordering was really easy since you can order by texting them. I basically ordered everything since they all sounded delicious. I wasn’t disappointed. The dulce de leche empanada was perfect! It was the perfect amount of sweetness. All the empanada ingredients were super fresh.
The next time I’m back in Seattle I’ll definitely be ordering more than a dozen.

Argentine empanadas are famous for their great taste, and Maria Luisa empanadas take it to another level. The filling is exquisite and the amount is quite generous. The dough is handmade and so delicious. During the last delivery, they let me know that they are working on a gluten free option that I can’t wait to try.
These empanadas are absolutely the best. Perfect for hosting and I recommend ordering an extra dozen to freeze for cravings.

The empanadas are fabulous! And equally fabulous is the fact that they deliver the flakey crust meat filled deliciousness. I served the chicken and beef empanadas at a Super Bowl gathering and everyone loved them. Try the chimichurri sauce. A perfect compliment!

I can’t get enough! These are the best empanadas I’ve ever had! I tried the chicken, beef, and the caprese & could not pick a favorite! Each filling was packed with flavor, and the outside was so fluffy and delicious. You can tell a lot of TLC goes into making these. The chef was super friendly and I love that you can custom order. This will be a new party staple for me! I Highly recommend!

Free delivery, great email & text correspondence, and completely hassle-​free ordering process! I emailed them my order on Friday and received a response right away. By Sunday noon, I had everything delivered to me. No advance payment of deposit needed. I just handed Rodrigo a check at delivery (they take cash, too). The only other empanada vendor in Seattle I’ve tried is Pampeana Empanadas; they are slower on email replies and have a Wednesday cut-​off for Saturday pickup (no delivery). Ordering with Maria Luisa was a whole lot simpler!
The empanadas themselves were filled to the brim (Pampeana Empanadas may look bigger, but it’s because they have more dough). The only downside is that because they were very full, and the dough was thinner, most of the empanadas burst during the baking process and spilled some of the fillings. Still, they were delicious and — with a variety of flavors from spicy to sweet to zesty to herby — I’m sure to be ordering more.

i first sampled these empanadas at the Queen Anne Farmer’s Market and quickly grew to love them. I’ve tried the beef, chicken, and caprese empanadas, and they were uniformly delicious. They’re a little pricey for the size, and the people selling them aren’t the friendliest, so I had to deduct a star, but overall I love these empanadas!

These empanadas are totally delicious. The filling is perfectly seasoned and the crusts are light and flaky — just right.
I snagged one at the Queen Anne Farmer’s Market. The guy working at the booth/​truck recommended the beef one. I wasn’t really feeling like beef, expecting some dry thing that would probably make me reach for my water, filled with dry ground beef. mleh. But he said beef, so I got beef. OMG DELICIOUS. The mixture was spiced just right and was, dare I use this word, moist. Yes, it was moist!
These lose one star for being so small (about ¾ the size of my palm) and being, like, 2 – 3 bites big. And for that size, costing $ 2.99 is a little much. I dunno. Maybe if I try another one I’ll say f*ck the price. There was a deal of $ 8 for 3 — so I guess that’s about right for a meal. :)
Try it! You won’t regret it.

I ordered 6 dozen for a lunch party I was hosting, and everyone loved it. We had the beef (everyone’s favorite), chicken (second favorite), ham, and vegetarian ones. No delivery charge up to Shoreline, and they were right on time, as scheduled. (we planned everything through email correspondences). I wrote a check to the person who delivered it. The food was still warm. Note that for lunch, I’d suggest ordering enough for people to each have on average 3 empanadas.

I ordered eight (8) dozen of these amazing empanadas for my husband’s 50th bday party this past weekend. It was a drinks-​and-​appetizers shindig and the empanadas were the hit of the night. I ordered two varieties~ the Boca Beef and the Flores Humita. Both were delicious and delivered by Rodrigo (chef extraordinaire) to my doorstep a few minutes before party start time. No delivery charge either! The dough was light and flaky and the fillings were clearly fresh… and tasty. The whole process, from getting initial information from Sarah to refining what I wanted to order with Rodrigo was quick, easy, & pleasant. From now on, these will be my go-​to place for getting something a little special for gatherings! I cannot recommend them enough.

These pockets of meat or veggies are delicious. I had the chicken at a farmer’s market. Definitely try one, and get there early, they sell out fast.
