Major Brands Floor Supply

I’ve used these guys the last three times I’ve needed carpet. Mark is the person I usually talk to. I have to admit, I go check out other places, but keep coming back. I trust them, and their prices are really good. The last time I needed a carpet installed to my rental unit, I just called Mark over the phone and he knew what I was looking for. I didn’t have time to come to the store so he stopped by my work and picked up the spare key. How cool is that?
The times I have gone down to the store, they have always been really good at listening to what I wanted, and working with my budget. Good people. I’ll stick with them.

* * * W A R N I N G * * * Do NOT waste your time with this store. Their positive reviews are most likely written by their own employees. Mark and their staff might *seem* competent at first, but they completely walked away from a job they had already committed to, because of «inadequate street» parking in the middle of Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood. This was in spite of being able to use my home’s driveway, which is a normal driveway. I respect the fact that this place may employ veterans, but how can it expect to stay in business if their staff can’t park in a driveway or less than 20 yards down the street? Mark was very rude in declining to do the job, swore/​used profanities, and did not even get out of his car. Another oddity about this store is its lack of samples that you can take with you. If you want to take a sample, you have to give the store your personal information and take their mounted floor samples. A very strange business practice compared to companies that allow customers to simply take pre-​cut samples. Given all of Seattle’s other options, please do not waste your time with this company, I wish I hadn’t.

Awesome service by the guys at Major Brands. They have a lot of Marmoleum in stock. Installed by a great installer named Mark… likes to start at 7am so be warned!

Major Brands did a terrific job with the replacement of our 20±year-old linoleum in our kitchen. Chris came out in April to give us an estimate and talked about the pros and cons of replacing the plywood underneath the linoleum. He gave us an estimate that included both options. This month, we were ready to do the installation. Chris came out again to ensure that the estimate was correct and that we knew everything that we needed to know about the process. They sent Mark to install the plywood and new Marmoleum. Mark was friendly, efficient, and professional. Did I mention efficient? He arrived when he said he would both days and quickly got the job done. We love our new floor!
