I had a good experience shopping here today. I came in with a couple of items I needed to return/exchange that I’d purchased online and was helped by a couple of the several sales staff on duty. They called me by my first name, which was a nice touch(I guess they got it from my online receipt?!), and kept taking things off my hands as I walked through the store so that I didn’t have to tote it all to the dressing rooms. The rooms were neatly maintained, with no excess clothes strewn about, and the sales floor was equally well kept. In response to Jenny K’s review, I agree that the Loft has a tendency to be a bit too sales-focused at times… but if I wasn’t interested in a suggestion, or when I left a number of items in the dressing room, they didn’t push the issue at all. I don’t mind constructive suggestions if they help me save time not having to look for things. The selection at this location was much better than what I found at Northgate a few weeks ago. Nicer store design too.

Can not say enough about how much I LOVE Ann Taylor Loft. I love this place for two different reasons. The first is that when I need a special item, like most recently a new suit jacket, they have a great selection. My love in a second way is for their great sales! You must get on their email list so you can go in when they have 40% off sales items. This is when I stock up on great tops! All that I can say about the comment of «high pressure sales» is that you have the choice to say, «I want to walk around the mall and think about it.» The credit card is in your wallet and the sales people do not get commission.

High-pressure sales is really not my thing, which is what I experienced here. I went in to browse for dresses to wear to my husband’s Christmas party. I saw one that I liked but it wasn’t on the promotional sale happening in the store. As much as I thought the dress was cute, I had a similar dress and I wasn’t going to pay for another one. The sales associate harassed me from the first time I looked at the dress until I walked out of the store, telling me how that dress was a good fit for me since I was Asian and had no chest or butt and when I said I had a similar dress she was in disbelief that I could only have one and kept on telling me to buy this one. Her sales tactics would’ve been innocent enough but she had a very loud, aggressive personality so that paired with her comments made for a stressful experience. Needless to say, I didn’t buy a dress there and ended up buying another black dress somewhere else — but one that looked different from the one I owned and I didn’t have to deal with such poor customer service.
