I saw Dr. Kimball for about a year, and had many appointments with her. She put me on meds which had some pretty strong (and completely expected) side-​effects, but when I told her I was having them she dismissed my claim and told me I wasn’t. I believed her and stayed on the meds for about 9 months, before having to go off temporarily for unrelated reasons. Lo and behold, the side effects I «wasn’t having» went away. I am still suffering and recovering from the long period of those side effects. If she had taken the time to talk with me, or made me feel like I could ask her questions without annoying her and wasting her time, this could have been avoided.
Her dismissive attitude was fairly common. She seemed like she wanted to move me through as fast as possible, either by throwing medicine at me, dismissing my concerns, or sending me to another doctor. I stopped going to her, and do not recommend her. I just felt dumb every time I saw her, like I was being a burden. Hopefully there are better doctors out there…
