Judy does the best haircuts on EARTH. I have straight hair & every time she gives me a cute cut that grows out well. I’ve been seeing her for almost 8 years now & I wouldn’t go to anyone else. Thanks Judy! You are amazing!

She’s really nice but … It took almost 6 hours to get my black hair blond. I mean yes, I had some color correction to be done, but 6 hours? Luckily I’m a cheerful person so I managed to stay hopeful when she put almost 7 to idk how many color treatments on my hair to get it to be good blond. The next day I looked at my hair. It really yellow and gold and reddish/copper at the root. it wasn’t soft and the gold is not complementing my complexion. I knew I had to get it fixed asap. I am a student and I wasn’t hoping to pay 260 dollars + 30 tip(for trying so hard) on my hair just so I can go to ANOTHER salon to get it fixed and pay another 200 dollars again. $ 500 spent. All that money is almost my half of the rent. I’m sad with my hair and it’s so dry caz of the many many treatments. I not gonna come back. Sorry Judy. I need to find someone I can trust and not keep doing trial and error again and again. I gave her 3 because she’s nice and sweet and tried very hard. However, the looks of my hair takes 2 out of 5 away. Thanks

Judy made me a total babe. I owe all my current babeness to Judy, who is, unsurprisingly, also a babe. Judy Yoon is the rare stylist who can intuit what you want and give you something even better. She also takes the long view, making your current hair look amazing while planning for it to look even MORE amazing in the future. I’ve never found a stylist I trust and like more than Judy.

One of the hardest things to do when you move to a new city is to find a hairdresser. A Friend recommended that I go to Judy. I did and am very, very happy I listened. Judy was able to fix a head full of bad color, and layered mess. I love my color, highlights, and cut. It’s really hard for me to explain to hairdressers what I want, cause I simply don’t know… just don’t make it blonde. :) Judy somehow understood my very ADD way of telling her what I want. She’s also just a doll to listen to. I tend to feel very awkward when getting my hair done because I have no idea what to talk about. Judy made me feel totally at ease. Price is very reasonable and she offered free bang trims between cuts. I highly recommend getting Yooned!

I’d heard good things about Judy from some of my friends but had been going to the same hairdresser for 10 years and was scared to try anyone new. A few weeks ago I took the day off work to work around my hairdresser’s crazy schedule. She canceled on me last minute and I was in a total bind. I had taken the day off work!!! I called Judy and told her my situation. Judy told me to head over to Aria right away. She immediately made me feel at ease. Like I said, I had been going to the same hairdresser for 10 years and was terrified of trying anyone new. I have blonde curly hair and am very particular about my cut and color. Not only did Judy make my hair look amazing but I have never received so many compliments on my hair in my life. I am truly grateful to Judy. She just acquired herself a new client!

After much thought as to whether or not to write this review, I decided to do so because I think my experience with Judy may help others choose wisely. I’ve gotten my hair colored/highlighted by Judy for several months. I’m Asian American and getting highlights can sometimes be a challenge because dark hair can look brassy. For the first few months, her work was fine. I once tried her out for a hair cut, but that didn’t work out well — the hair cut wasn’t great and resulted in a fly-away, sloppy look. I went to Gary Manual after about a week to get it fixed.(Parker at GM is awesome, btw.) I then went in for another highlight/color. I didn’t have time to get my hair blow-dried so walked out of the salon without being able to see the finished color job — I know, bad call but I trusted it would be fine given my few other experiences with her were okay. That wasn’t the case. After seeing my hair dry, I noticed I had a HALO of color on my head! My roots were highlighted, then there was a ring of unhighlighted dark hair under that, then highlights resumed under that again. I was swamped with business travel so didn’t have time to go to the salon to get it fixed until a few weeks later. When I did see Judy, she was pretty defensive about it asking ‘So, what do you want fixed?’ I said, «Um, there’s a halo of color on my head. Do you not see it?» After hemming and hawing a bit, she said ‘Yes, of course I see it. I don’t know what happened. But I’ll fix it.” Okay, one fluke, bad experience, right? Not so… I went in recently to get highlights again. She let me know it would take about an hour and a half which was consistent with my other trips to see her for the same process. I had plans to go to my friend’s get together so time management was important for me on that particular day. Before we get started, I say«So, I’d like to do exactly what we did last time.» And she said«Yes, don’t worry. Just like last time.» Well, it wasn’t. She highlighted my hair and did an all-over color. Then she did ANOTHER all-over color, simply saying«It didn’t take so I’m doing an all-over color again.» Okay. THEN, as she’s shampooing the dye our of my hair as she’s finished the process, she mentions casually, «So, the color will be darker than last time. It’ll be great after a few washes.» Me = Huh? You mean you already colored it darker without telling me? And it’s not what we talked about when we had our consultation. So, what will it look like? Well, it was black. I mean, black clump of hair mass. Couldn’t see any highlights. Just black hair. She had to add MORE highlights and do another color process all over again. Simply saying«Well, it’s up to you. Do you want me to do another color job on you?» Well, the answer is NO, but I have no choice since I look insane. So, almost 4HOURS later, she’s finished. I’ve missed my friend’s party. I have double the processing job on my hair and so today, my hair is REALLYDRY from all of the treatments. To add insult to injury, she can’t find my sweater as I’m leaving, simply saying ‘I don’t know what to tell you, I mean, I don’t have it.’ I leave with just my tank top on — thank GOD I didn’t take that off and put it in her care. And, the highlights she put back in are… BRASSY. Sigh. I’m now heading to Gary Manual this weekend to get it fixed. I won’t be going back and would say to beware of color treatments with Judy. She’s lovely, but not a great colorist to say the least…

My husband and I have both been going to Judy for several years. She is amazing. She can do anything from ombré color to gorgeous up-dos(we hired her to do hair at my wedding). You can book an appointment with her by phone at 206−265−9640. Her website is She has an amazing sense of style but also what looks good on you. She is also a good listener and will never push her opinions on you. You will love her and never go back. Also – very reasonably priced. Highly highly recommend!

I have been getting my hair cut by Judy for about a year now. A friend of mine had been a loyal client for years before that but I never took the leap. Finally I got Yooned and never stopped :) I always consistently get a great cut and won’t go anywhere else. You should get Yooned too!
