The best Thai food I’ve had in Seattle, always a tough deciding between the Coconut Curry and Cashew Delight.

This is one of the best Thai places in town for people who love healthy, delicious meals. The menu is vegetarian and they use many organic ingredients. There are plenty of options to choose from including classic Thai dishes as well as more unique tasted. They will also happily customize dishes for you if you want something special. My family is particularly particular and we have a special organic oil we like our food cooked in. We bought it and they keep it for us in their kitchen and use it especially for our food. Talk about customer service! The food is always fast and billing timely. It’s a great weeknight place to eat for 2 — 6 people. No more though as the Fremont location space is limited. Bring a coat though as there tends to be a draft with the front and back doors opening occasionally.

great veggie thai food, perhaps not as authentic as other places, but very tasty curries, and noodle dishes, with great spices, and creative tasty appetizers!

Was looking for a Thai vegan place and Unilocal brought me at this place. I ordered Tom yum noodles with vegetables and mushrooms, it was nicely done. Pretty quick as well. You can order online and pick it up at the restaurant.

This place is mighty tasty! Although this place is vegetarian, it tastes just as good as any other Thai places that I have been to. The portions could be bigger, but the portion they give you is enough. This place is not big, but the atmosphere is quite cozy. It was just as cozy as a coffee shop. The service staff was very nice and attentive. Refilling our waters before it reaches empty is always a bonus in my eyes. When the food came, it was piping hot and looked/tasted really fresh! I wish the price point was a little lower for vegetarian, but I suppose that it is the area driving the prices. The only thing was, parking doesn’t seem like an easy task if you were to come on a weekend. I believe this first time wouldn’t be my last time. Can’t wait to come back to try their other dishes!

My brother and I went here last night, I’m not vegetarian but he is. He had the pineapple curry and I had the dry version noodles. We shared spring rolls and each had a Thai iced tea. This place was so good! The spring rolls were crispy and fresh. My dry version noodles were SOGOOD that I’ve been looking for a place near my house that just may have something similar. No luck:-(. It was so delicious. My bother said his curry was great, too. The service was great, bringing water without even asking. They were fast and friendly. Definitely go here!

Fresh, hot and tasty veg in Seattle’s Wallingford neighborhood. We’ve been there several times and the service is friendly and as fast or relaxed as you wish. Cozy spot for hot soup on a drizzly day.

My boyfriend and I come here all the time for date night. We absolutely love everything and the servers are always wonderful. You have to try the fried ice cream it’s amazing! I’ve had the phad kee mao and it’s delicious. My boyfriend always get the phad thai and he never complains. They’re very consistent with their food and service!

This was the first of the two locations I attended. My experience has been the same at both, so my reviews are identical for the two. All vegetarian and mostly vegan Thai cuisine. Food quality is extremely high, with super flavourful dishes and a nice variety. Portion sizes are average and the prices are decent. One of my favourite, go-to places for vegan Asian cuisine when I’m in Seattle.

First time trying this place. Very happy tummy. Thrilled to have found an honest to goodness veg/vegan Thai place close to home. Had almost given up on Thai food after having suspiciously fishy smelling vegan pad Thai at O’Ginger Restaurant. Glad we persevered. This place is cozy casual, awesome staff, and great big menu full of yummy(wow twice? Huh) Veg food. Yay!

Let me start off by saying this would have been the last Thai food place we would have tried with the numerous disasters we had in this fare, but jhanjay restored out faith. We had the s jhanjay sampler platter and the monk’s noodle and both were excellent minus the fries which were taro root fries … All nicely seasoned and they actually listened to us when we said mild as opposed to most of the Thai places we went to … Yeah I know amazing, right? … But I digress, Anyway, The price is ok for quality of food and the staff was very understanding considering we changed our minds like three times. The atmosphere is pleasant but a bit loud with the opened kitchen that just adds to the already noisy place and don’t sit by the door especially on a cold night, but these are little things cause the food was surprisingly very good. Maybe this is the last Thai place we go to, but will return. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Excellent vegetarian Thai food in the heart of Wallingford. Menu has tons of options — we tried Penang curry, monk noodles and the appetizer sampler and loved all three. Bonus stars for super friendly service!

Great food, but service was not so good. I have been here a dozen times. They make the best stir fry noodles i have ever tasted, even better than ones with meat. I just cannot believe vegetarian food can taste like this. Their spinach dish was too watery, so flavor was washed out, but that was the only dish i didn’t like there. Other than that, the thai iced tea was little too sweet, but tea & milk balanced very well. Oh, rice does not come with any dish, you need to pay separately.

Best service in Seattle. The servers remember you and treat you like you’re in a finer dining establishment. The food is exquisite, to boot!

If more places were like this, becoming vegetarian would be a piece of cake! My brother and sister are vegan and I’m slowly making my where there(wish me luck!). This is a tiny cozy restaurant which can get pretty full at times. They have amazing service here! I never had to ask for anything and they would constantly refill my glass of water even when it was halfway full. Here’s what we ordered — Star potato puff roti appetizer — AMAZING! The potato and curry wedged in between the perfectly soft and crispy roti couldn’t be any better. Plus the tangy, vinegary sauce with cucumber and onion bits complimented the dish so well. I’m so obsessed! Asian fries appetizer — I was skeptical about this one but the lotus root was a really good, crunchy french fries substitute and it came with a sweet chili sauce. Buddha’s basket — Like crispy chow mein but 5x better. The basket of crispy noodles had stir fried veggies, mushrooms, tofu and cashews in it and underneath was a sauce you can mix it all together with. Mountain of mushrooms — A variety of mushrooms in a garlic sauce that I couldn’t get enough of. The mushrooms were so tender almost like meat. Panang curry — I loved how the curry wasn’t too thick and salty. It was light and I actually enjoyed it enough where I can even eat it without rice. Pad see ew — Really good and comparable to most pad see ew dishes I’ve tried but it was a little salty. Overall the dishes were all a lot better than expected and the sauces were so delicious I wanted to eat them all with rice. Even my sister who is a meat lover enjoyed all the food!

I came here last summer and am just writing the review now. My best friend, a strict vegetarian who loves thai food, was visiting from california and I wanted to take her out. Four of us came here and we all loved it. The food was great and since this place is vegetarian only, it was nice for my friends to not have to worry about things like oyster sauce. I’m more of a meat and potatoes type but enjoy thai food from time to time. We were all a little confused by the«mushroom meat» but it was delicious! The lotus chips were surprisingly good, kind of like a potato chip and it came with a dipping sauce. The staff was friendly and the restaurant was clean. This is a great place to go for anyone who likes thai, meat eaters and vegetarians alike.

This place is great! I have tried traditional Thai a few times and wasn’t a fan. I gave this place a try with a friend whose been before and I was impressed. We got the sampler appetizer and it was amazing. I loved everything on it. I also got the garlic pepper stir fry with deep fried tofu and white rice and it was excellent. It sounds boring, but it was surprisingly didn’t taste boring at all. There is only street parking on the block behind the restaurant, so be prepared to parallel! It’s worth it though, I am sure I will eat here again.

The boyfriend and I got takeout from here last night. We called it in and it was ready when we got there, so that was nice. Buuuut when we got home, I noticed the paper bag was wet on the bottom, either from grease or sauce. Well, it ended up being sauce… one of the boxes had leaked. The sauce actually leaked onto another box and then onto the bag. It’s not very fun cleaning up sticky sauce, when you’re starving. Anywho, we ordered 3 dishes: Jhanjay omelet, Mango tofu, Phad thai and a side of rice. After eating, we definitely looked at each other w/the«I’m NOT impressed» look. The pad thai was pretty meh, a little sweet, had tofu and carrot. I actually was looking forward to this one the most but it was really just OK, if that. The mango dish was basically their version of sweet and sour tofu. The omelet had good flavor BUT for $ 13 I was expecting a WOW factor and definitely didn’t get that. Sooooo overall, this was a pretty disappointing takeout experience. The meal came to $ 40!!! Phad thai was $ 10, it wasn’t that good but that’s a descent price. BUT the other 2 dishes were $ 13 each. I can make a 40 egg omelet + the veggies and tofu you put inside for $ 13! Da fuq? If you have a omelet on your menu, for more than $ 10 it should be pretty darn good buuut it wasn’t :(and the mango dish, I would skip that. It’s sweet and sour tofu w/mango for $ 13 and it doesn’t come with rice. It’s those little things that bothered me the most with this meal. Starting with a poor packaging job, that resulted with sauce everywhere. They didn’t include any utensils or napkins. I think that should come with your takeout. The meal was disappointing, taste and price wise. I don’t mind spending lots of money on food but I want it to be food that I’m LOVING every bite of! Sadly, I did not want seconds from my Jhanjay takeout and we will most likely not return in the future. Side note: The packaging job was so poor, that I didn’t even take a pic of our food and I am a picture FANATIC! So, you might want to double check your order, before you take it with you. They only use cardboard takeout boxes.

I figured out the consistency issue: if we go in late(after 9pm) it is a hit or miss. Since we like going out for dinner late this has happened quite often. I find you can’t go wrong with the specials. I also did not appreciate that 15 minutes before closing time there was someone sweeping the floor right next to our table. I assume they had a stressful day…

Okay, so the title of this restaurant should pretty much give away what it’s about. There should be no mystery that they serve vegetarian Thai food. Now I could end the review right here because that just about sums everything up, but I can’t. There’s no meat, and I’m certainly not a vegetarian, so maybe I can’t appreciate the finer nuances of this place. Even though they made it blatantly obvious what the nature of this restaurant was, I still could have been more satisfied. I can tell that the people are hard at work here. I don’t think I could do a better job if I were them, so props to them. The rama garden lunch special($ 9.95) that I ordered was ready within seven minutes. Wow, these people are fast! Plus, I watched the dish being made right there before my eyes; they’re out in the open as opposed to hidden in a kitchen. It’s nice that they let you see exactly how your food is made. Unfortunately, I still need a little more to be happy. Vegetables and tofu topped with peanut sauce and sesame seeds. A bowl of brown rice to the side. At the risk of sounding like a broken record, there’s no meat. Ugh, I wouldn’t be surprised if they were unable to add meat even if you asked for it. This is truly an all-vegetarian restaurant with no meat. For me, that’s kind of jarring. I can eat rice and vegetables all day and not get full, so a meal with only rice and vegetables comes across as a little odd. I’m still rating the restaurant by its own merits, however. Just because everything is vegetarian doesn’t mean I’m going to give a negative review; that would be silly and unfair. But clearly I’m the wrong audience for this type of restaurant. That doesn’t stop me from reviewing. If you’re a vegetarian, there’s a bunch of Thai restaurants that you could still eat at, but you can feel more secure at this one I guess. If you’re an omnivore like me, this restaurant is still okay, but their food could taste better with that little addition!
