I bought the shop from my brother three years ago. Same great coffee as before, same people, new name. Natalie’s Coffee. Stop in and have a cup! Thank you for your continued business. Natalie

Bad coffee makes me sad. I went in to Java Bean and ordered an 8-ounce latte. The menu board implies that drinks include two shots of espresso: «8OZDBLSHOT,» «12OZDBLSHOT,» etc. So I was disappointed when my drink had only one shot of espresso. I could tell just by tasting it. It was weak and milky and bland, like the warm milk that Grandmother has before bedtime. Two stars for friendly service and velvety microfoam. P. S. I don’t care for wobbly furniture. It promotes spills and sloshes. Java Bean has a few wobbly tables. P. P. S. The business listing says«closed,» but that cannot be — I was just there 20 minutes ago!

Since we moved back into tha ‘hood, Alex has been running down here on weekends to get us big lattes(you know, weekend treat), but I hadn’t been in myself until last month. We were re-doing the kitchen floor, so I knew there was a lot of hard work ahead and I had just gotten off work and I was yawning. Ugh. So I stopped in for a vanilla latte. The barista was not even fazed(and in fact laughed) when I told her I’d like the biggest latte she could make. Could I get it in a vat? And they had delicious snax, I had some sort of handmade vanilla roll cookie-ish thing that looked sort of like some things that my grandmother used to make. I think I spent $ 6 with a $ 2 tip, so no complaints there either!

I accidentally ordered a non-soy Mole, and the kindly barista(why didn’t I get her name?!) re-made my drink with soy because she«didn’t want me to have a bad day.» It would have been a bad day indeed for lactose-intolerant me. Five stars for being rad!

Hi, I am Bryan and I am addicted to Café Moles. Damn the Javabean and their sweet, sweet elixir. Each morning I awaken to a yearning for this tasty morning bliss. Unfortunately, most mornings I am off to work prior to them opening, but luckily, Mondays and Tuesdays I am able to get my fix and am treated with a warm smile from one of their delightful baristas. It’s great fun visiting this location as it is close to my home, with their daily trivia question(which I almost never get) and their astrological cut out for me to read while my drink is being prepared by one of their master java concoctors. Try some of their baked goods as well, it’s a like a smörgåsbord of the best of the best Seattle bakeries. I recommend the chocolate pumpkin muffin. It’s to die for.

With the Greenwood Market parking lot at the taking, Javabean is a convenient, quick stop without the hassle of finding parking or waiting in line. I’ve got to hand it to the Java bean for making my weekday mornings a little brighter. While I’m not a morning person, I’m happy to set my alarm a few minutes earlier to stop here and grab a café mole or latte on my way to work. The barista working in the morning is always really friendly and quick and makes a good drink. I’ve sampled a few of the muffins and they’re all tasty. While I wouldn’t come here to hang out and enjoy a cup, this is a good place to grab and go. Oh also, the trivia questions of the day make me excited. Also, I’m a nerd.

A correct answer to the Trivia question of the day wins you a squirt of vanilla or something. Great coffee stand gone indoors joint with reading material such as J.P. Patches’ monograph. The drip isn’t top notch, but I often grab a cup from Java Bean on my way to work. The staff varies through the months, but is usually very friendly.
