Ok so at first I go here because a coworker said it was a nice place to eat. I order the Yellow curry w/salmon and go against my usual choice of chicken(I’m by the water and expect, you know real salmon.) Well, to my surprise it was chewy and didn’t flake apart like real salmon should and came out of a bucket of water. Cut it apart and inspected it and I promise you it was anything but salmon! To go that far out of there way to get fake stuff at $ 10/plate??? Are you serious!?! Needless to say I was extremely unhappy! BUT, the level 4 star was hot so I’ll give them that.

Is this an amazing Thai restaurant I want to go to at least once a week while I’m at work? No. But will I have it every once in a while? Probably, if I’m really craving Thai food. The gentleman that took my order was very nice and I got my food within 5 – 10 mins. Food is definitely greasy.

Not a bad Thai restaurant but also not the best. I ordered the cashew chicken spice level 4. Better then most places that I’ve been to. Owner was very friendly. I was with friends who decided to eat somewhere else so we were all sitting down the hall way about 60 yards away from the restaurant. Owner offered to bring my food out to me instead of me waiting around for it to be ready to go out and meet them.

Located in Post Alley across the hallway from Rachel’s Ginger Beer, I saw a little Thai spot so I thought I would try it for lunch. Saw that they had some lunch specials and also quite affordable so I got the Garlic Chicken. Order at the counter, go sit down, they will bring it out to you style. It was ok, it is freshly cooked so it’s served super hot and comes with 2 scoops of rice. They do go pretty heavy handed on the spice level and I got 2 stars and it was pretty spicy causing them sweat beads on my forehead. The chicken was good, veg was mainly celery(not a fan), carrots, onion and a few pieces of broccoli. Ehhh… it was just ok in my opinion. Portions for lunch: half the paper plate is your entrée, other half is rice. Dont forget to clear your own table.

Sooooo, yeah… I ordered the Bathing Rama with chicken, 4 star(out of 4) spicy, TOGO. The guy taking orders was like«you sure?» then jokingly made a gun to the temple hand gesture and a bang noise, implying it would be CRAZY spicy. After about half an hour of waiting at the counter seats, he leaned over and asked«You had the bathing chicken, right?». «Yep.» Handed by bag of noms, I head back to my office. Upon opening it though… I find Bathing Rama… with…tofu. WHAAA??? The sauce was lumpy, and many of the veggies were soggy/mushy. Worst of all, the spiciness was mediocre. Seriously, I’ve had my mouth burning more from a single Hot Tamale candy. :-( So… beware… either their food is mediocre, and not spicy… or they are prone to order mixups(and some spice-intolerant vegetarian got a rude mouthful of my hella-hot chicken).

I work close to Pike Market so I like trying all the different places it has to offer. Decided to come here for lunch with my co workers and ordered the Bathing Rama with tofu and needless to say it had very little tofu but with more carrots and celery as filler. I was pretty surprised considering the menu didn’t even have that written on there. Not sure if I’ll be coming back here, there’s a lot more places worth trying for $ 10 a meal.

All three of us that went really enjoyed the food. Veggies were fresh and chicken was cooked well. Would eat there again and recommend to anyone in the area.

My rice and broccoli didn’t taste very fresh, like they’d been prepared a couple of days ago and the carrots were mushy. The Penang sauce was tasty, but beware that it’s exceptionally spicy. I probably only ate about a third of my dish, it just wasn’t very compelling. For the price there’s better Thai food in town.

Err. I ordered green curry chicken. What came out: two scoops of rice with spicy green curry soup. Soup?! Don’t they know curry is supposed to be atleast a little thicker/more dense. Sigh. Ohwell rice and soup it is. Portions are on the smaller size at a premium price. Guess it’s catering to the tourists, cause I will definitely cross this off my Thai list. True that they are more on the spicy side. One star, and I’m gulping down tons of water.

It’s really spicy! I usually have 3 stars at most Thai restaurants and for some reason I decided to get 2 starts and it was so hot I could only eat half of it. Keep in mind, I did order Tom Yum which tends to already have a kick.

I have to agree with other reviews… I ordered phad that and it wasn’t bad but it wasn’t anything great either. Mediocre there for three out of five stars it is :)

$ 10 for greasy, uninspired Pad Thai? Um… No thank you. Although I am kind of impressed… I didn’t know you could make Thai food greasy! But somehow this place figured out how…

My bf and I were in Seattle this past week and we ran into this hidden restaurant. We tried their pad kee mao and the very next day we were back for more! Real authentic thai food. We could have ate here every day and tried all their dishes. Staff was very nice and efficient. Definitely will look for this place when ever we come back to Seattle!

Just got take-out from here with my co-workers. Ugh. Greasy and unfortunate. We had the phad thai, phad si ew, and yellow curry. All of us were underwhelmed, which is sad because we haven’t found(m)any good Thai options around downtown. The service wasn’t amazing, either, which didn’t do the food any favors. If you’re in Pike Place Market, there are so many other options for lunch that will please your little taste buds!

Owner was really rude. I bought noodles and ice tea from them and sat down to eat, and my son wanted pizza for next door. So I had my son sitting with us and the owner said no outside food. I know the drill but you don’t expect a six years old to be sitting at another restaurant by himself. Highly highly unhappy with their attitude. Their food is not that impressive anyway. Besides, this place is not even busy and we definitely won’t be holding up the seats

I had the yellow curry chicken. It was very good and I enjoyed the experience. It’s tucked away in the back in the mall area. Get a seat next to the pedestrian traffic and it’s very entertaining theater. Order at the counter and find a seat and they will find you with a smile. Cheap but good.

Weird how this place has less than 4 stars. It’s pretty good food for a good price considering the prices of food near Pike place market. Tried the garlic chicken and pad see ew and none disappointed. If people are craving some thai food, people should definitely check this place out! Friendly service is also a plus! It’s kind of hidden but locate Rachel’s Ginger Beer and it’s right next to it!

I have a like-hate relationship with Jasmine. On cold days, I’ve enjoyed the massaman curry immensely. The potatoes and chicken with pineapple and cashews are a great combo and the curry is deep with flavor and engulfs you with warmth. The spice levels are decent, though not that intense compared to other places. I order a #3 and get a gentle runny nose, but no scalding tongue(which is fine by me). Then on other days I order something else –like today– the panang curry, with mixed veggies. And the carrots are woefully overcooked and, with unattractive, large pieces of uneven celery, sloppy slices of onions, and a scant three pieces of over cooked broccoli. I love broccoli and I don’t love celery. This is not cool. Also, it’s all swimming around in far more grease than coconut curry. Gross. And my tummy hurts now. So, maybe I’ll be back, but I won’t venture out past the massaman. I’ve tried three other dishes and all have been average, except for the massaman. There’s no thai place I’ve committed to fully downtown. I travel between here and Mae Phim, and both sometimes disappoint. Still, I go back because I am a sucker for Thai food.

Jasmine Thai is probably the best Thai in the market. + It has it’s own seating area + Quick service + The curries and pad thai are good. Not the best ever; and quality can vary sometimes. I go at least once every week or two, and still go back. :)

After a full(chilly) day exploring Pike Place Market, I wanted to head back to my hostel with some warm comfort food. I just happened to walk past the sign for Jasmine Thai and knew it was exactly what I wanted. I ordered the Penang chicken and inquired about the spice level. I was told to pick a number on a scale of 1 – 5, so I picked 3 and asked if that was a good middle-ground. The gentleman looked at me and said, «how about 2». Good call, mister, as 2 was plenty spicy for my tastes. The food was exactly what I was looking for: warm, fragrant, comfort-y, spicy, and all around delicious. Not the best Thai ever, but pretty damn good for $ 8.00. I would definitely return if I lived in the area.
