I am so happy I found Dr. Hagen. When I was diagnosed with mono this past July, the timing couldn’t have been worse with training for my first full marathon about to start. My doctor at the medical clinic where I was diagnosed pretty just said, «Well, there’s nothing we can do for you.» After struggling with my energy level for about two months and feeling uneasy about how to approach my marathon training while still recovering, some friends suggested I see a naturopath. I had doubts that naturopathy would help, but I figured it couldn’t hurt to see. Was I ever wrong! My first meeting with Dr. Hagen was impressive in the amount of time she took with me, gathering as much detail as she could about my illness, training schedule, family history, you name it. She also ran a full blood panel to gauge where my health was at, something I didn’t even know was a possibility. She found significant vitamin deficiencies and other havoc the mono was reaping with my body. Over the course of the next several months, she got me on a regiment of supplements and worked a coordinated treatment plan between my chiropractic, massage therapist, dietician sessions. My energy level started increasing and I was able to keep up with an adjusted marathon training schedule without overdoing it. I can guarantee I would have never been able to run that marathon without her, and I probably would have landed myself in the hospital or worse. I’ve continued seeing Dr. Hagen since the marathon and she’s helped me recover almost a 100 percent from my mono, soon to be a complete recovery as I continue her treatment plan. I am completely convinced in the power of naturopathy thanks to Dr. Hagen, and am thankful to have her as my primary doctor.
