I sell my Shower Arts(waterproof art you can hang in your shower) at Rummage every month and it’s awesome. Sometimes I sell a ton. Sometimes I sell a few. But regardless of how much I sell — I always find tons of stuff that I want to BUY. I highly recommend!

This is an awesome indie shopping event! You can find everything from clothing, and shower art, to jewelry and stationary all under one roof.

Such a fun event, and filled with cool stuff that’s yours for the buying! In this economy, it’s especially important to be wise about who you give your precious dollars to, and I prefer to give them to the littlest of the little guys. I also AM the little guy, and took my Ellie Bluebell Designs to IHR for the first time last Saturday. It was a great venue(there’s a full bar, shoppers) with a great DJ and I will definitely be back next month!

Pretty pretty good(in best Larry David voice). I scored an awesome quilt for $ 25! I was so taken aback by the price I think I ended up arguing with the very kind lady that no quilt I had ever seen been so cheap. I took it and ran before she could change her mind. But yeah, this place is sweet. I little dark but it does make for a nice rough around the edges etsy. A little more leather, spiky cuffs and skull onesies, some over the top priced stuff: $ 50 upcycled button ring. But hey, it is what it is. OooOoo, I almost forgot the(second) best part: I picked up my first bit-o-yelp shwag! Watch out world I’ve got chap stick that tastes like grape bubble yum and I’m comin’ for ya!

I just spent entirely too much money at IHR, but remain proud to have it in my neighborhood. I needn’t bother trying to top Hillary’s «Etsy come to life» description.

Cassandra — one of the organizers of IHR — shot me a PM the other day to let me know that Knelow would be there next month. YAY! I can reek like I likes to again! And thanks so much to Cassandra for listening to me prattle on about how very heartbroken I was at Bumbershoot, and then actually following up instead of dismissing me as the babbling, bat shit, old crone that I am. The power of Unilocal yo.

IHR is the cute craft fair that your mom would drag you to as a kid but has all the stuff you want. Like Etsy come to life… and with you can get breaky before or after you shop if you find yourself famished. Unusual, functional: this craft fair runs the gambit. At the Crocodile Caf from 12 – 4 p.m. just about the first Sunday of every month. There’s a live DJ, and admission is free, which is rad for the impoverished crafters like me…
