Good beer, good pizza(cheap prices for huge portions), great trivia night! We had lots of fun even though the questions were sooooo hard. The emcee does a great job working the crowd. Trivia Tip #1: the second last and third last teams get a free pitcher of PBR! Yay? Trivia Tip #2: wear a cool tshirt and you can enter the tshirt contest for a small(you might say trivial) prize.

I am not a pizza lover, but I LOVED the pizza at Hotel Hotel. For our first night in Seattle, this was the perfect way to begin our exploration of the Fremont neighborhood. We ordered the Hawaiian pizza, and they kindly made it with an olive oil base, as I do not like tomato sauce. My fiancé paired the pizza with a local amber ale, and altogether the dinner was a great price. We will certainly return.

Just a great simple place with a good slice of pizza and a pool table(that sadly won’t be there for long — but I hear they are putting in some arcade games, so that could be fun). The bartender we’ve had is great and super friendly as well.

Pizza was thing and tasty. Randomly walked in on a trivia night which myself and a friend entered. The crowd was super nice and competitive, which made for a fun night came in second to last which wasn’t bad seeing as how second to last got a free pitcher. Great experience.

Have stopped in twice now for slices and haven’t been disappointed. Really good pizza, reminds me of what you’d get at decent places in New York, totally unexpected of a bar here. It’s a bit of a dive, but it isn’t the worst. I’ve brought guests and my kids in here during the day and everyone was fine with it. Bartenders were super cool as well. Bathrooms are nasty, but I knew they would be.

At first, I was sad because I have had many good times at the Dubliner, but I was pretty impressed with HotelHotel. Their pizza was delicious! I had the veggie lover which has raw arugula and shreds of parmasean on top. For 4 bucks, one slice is the size of two! I had ordered two slices and could not finish it all. This place is great for a meal on a budget and also is pretty big. Great for groups!

Crawling with badditude. Oh, and bugs. My dad was visiting from out of town, and we stopped here for a night cap after dinner. I had never heard of the place, but it wasn’t busy so we went up to the bar and ordered. My dad doesn’t drink very often, and neither one of us was familiar with the beer they had on tap. He asked for a recommendation that tasted similar to Rolling Rock, and the«bartender» rolled her eyes at him and goes«R…Ro…I have no idea what you’re talking about. We like, have good beer here. What is that? I don’t even know. I don’t know what to get you.» This is insanity to me given that she’s a BARTENDER, and my dad(aka the nicest man in the world) had a very simple question for her. She wasn’t busy busy, just make a recommendation and don’t be rude about it. Then we sat down, and not even 10 mins later a roach fell(from the ceiling?) onto my forehead. I felt it immediately, smacked it with my hand, and it fell onto the scarf I was wearing. I grabbed it between my fingers and looked – yep, definitely a roach. After 10 seconds of freaking out/shaking out our coats, we left. Bugs are so gross, but being mean to dads makes this place the worst. Note to our server: You really shouldn’t act high-brow when the drink menu champions f-ing Fireball specials.

I got the habenero pineapple sour. It was awful. Like real bad. It wasn’t a sour. It had no spice. It was like nothing I’ve had before. We told the bartender. She disagreed. I’m sure the rest of the food/drinks is good though so 3 stars.

Seattle was in a serious pizza drought the last couple years but things seem to be really turning around. This place is a casual place to grab a slice and a drink. The za is coal fired so it has that distinct flavor. I can’t remember just how cheap it was, but I want to say very. The only drawback to the slice sitch is that you can’t add toppings but thats not a dealbreaker.

Okay, so for the honest review. It’s a bit divey, but it’s big and open and has a good beer selection on tap. The staff was quite nice and the value is great. 4 piece pizza, 1 beer, tip for $ 25. The pizza tasted okay as compared to all sorts of pizza in general. Here’s the biased review. It claims to have«Authentic Detroit Pizza». What was served to me was in no way Detroit pizza. Too thin; no edges; chewy rather than airy, crunchy crust; and the sauce was on top! Now, granted, Buddy’s puts a bit of their sauce on top, but it’s nothing like the excess here. So, go for pizza and beer. Don’t go for Detroit pizza and beer.

I arrived in Seattle last night wanting a drink and something to eat. First came here, no food being served at that time but we decided to have a drink anyways. Left immediately after. Bartender was not very friendly. Gave off the vibe that our presence was a bother. It’s not even that she was too busy to make small talk, we were the only people there. Luckily we went down the street to Red Star Taco Bar where we were treated extremely nice, bartender made us feel welcome, gave us some recommendations on places to visit while out here and even gave us some chips and salsa. This place has over 10 people in it after 12:30am and we were still made to feel like we mattered. So my impression is if it’s late and you’re looking for a nice bartender don’t go to Hotelhotel

Four and a half stars, Unilocalers??? I wanted the Detroit pizza because I’m from detroit and I was interested to see their take on it. First try: bartender too confused to get order right, gave me a round pizza, I was too hungry to care, it was good. Second try: bartender has his shit together, we wait for the detroit pizza. And wait. And wait. Finally it comes out. We got it to go, and when we get home and bite into it – it’s not cooked all the way. It’s pretty hard to mess up pizza, but not cooking it is a good way to start. Also, it’s hella small! 4 little squares. Nothing Detroit about the serving size. I think the crust might have been good if it was cooked, so a star for that???

This is great late night choice spot. Although it is not usually the type of place I frequent, this place seemed pretty cool. They had live music and great pizza. What is there not to like? The pizza was better than most places although we did not order the detroit style, which seems to be their specialty. I had a good time with good food and that is always a good thing!

holy huge delicious slices! I docked a star –just– because I wish I could have gotten a single slice Chicago style — I was craving it, but since I’m traveling(staying in awesome hostel next door) I couldn’t really justify getting a whole pizza. but the ny-style slices are massive and cheap and so yummy, and beer selection is decent and reasonable. bartender super friendly too. good food and good beer for under $ 10? hell yeah.

I was a regular back when this place was The Dubliner — a dark, dive bar with dirt cheap drink specials and some of the nastiest pub food I’ve ever had. Didn’t matter — Rainier and Jameson for $ 7? Yes, please! Then Lee took over. I’ll be honest — I was scared that I was going to lose my third place to the never-ending march of gentrification. But you know what? All he’s done is make the place better. The bar is much improved, with a slab of beautiful reclaimed wood. The bar has excellent lighting now! Drink specials are still there. And you can grab a pint of Rainier and a slice of pepperoni for $ 5. I try not to think about how many late lunches I’ve been grabbing here or what that’s doing to my waistline. The owner’s amiable, and the bartenders that remained after the switch were my favorites. I’ve been very impressed, and spend even more of my time here than I originally thought possible. And I haven’t even tried the Denver style pizza. Just fold my slice and half and go to town on a cheap beer. Great stop. Definitely not high society, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Oh, ANDDOGFRIENDLY. Probably not the greatest spot for kids, but they’re welcome too.

Among my friends I’m to the guy who knows pizza; my love for the stuff runs ninja turtle deep and I happen to be from Detroit. When I saw Detroit Style Pizza in the window of HotelHotel I thought I’d fallen into a beautiful dream. Unfortunately when I try to realize that dream, it’s proven somewhat elusive. The pizza: No two ways about it, it’s good, really good. Seattle pizza is usually thin, often wood-fired; by design it fades into the background to make room for high profile toppings like prosciutto or goat cheese; Detroit Style pizza could not be more different. The flavors are complex, nuanced and satisfying; but there’s a little something still missing in the texture. Deep dish pizza inherently runs the risk of being overly«bread-y», by that I mean a thick, uniform crust without enough character to warrant its existence. Conversely Detroit pizza makes the most of crust, the outside edges have cheese crisped thick, rising up the sides of the pan. The bottom of the dough is slightly browned, giving it just a light crunch when you bite into it. Hotelhotel is SO close; the cheese at the edge is just right, it’s evident that the bottom starts to brown but somewhere before it gets to my plate it ends up just slightly soggy. If Hotelhotel can tweak that detail they may end up with the best pizza in Seattle. Hey, remember that elusive part? They only sell small(4 slice) pizzas. They don’t seem to make a lot of pizza. I’ve had about a 30% win rate on trying to get dinner. All in all, it’s a fantastic pizza… when they have it. If you can get your hands on it, do it.

Being a Detroit native and a pizza snob, I was thrilled to see this place appear in Fremont. Good: The crust is thick and tasty, and the sauce is fantastic. The overall taste and experience gets satisfyingly close to the feel and texture of real Detroit pie. Nicely done! Yum. So-so: It’s greasier than it should be. Maybe because the cheese blend is a little off? The excess grease diminishes the essential crunch of the crust edge, and it’s overall pretty messy. Kinda falls apart. A tasty mess, to be sure. And now for the BAD: They sell out. SELLOUTOFPIZZA. wtf. If there’s anything you must learn from Detroit, it’s that pizza is always available. On two separate occasions, we’ve arrived at HotelHotel and been told«Oh, no more Detroit pizza today.» Wat? Sorry, guys, but that’s just not okay. Also: Your name sucks. Ever tried to google«hotel hotel»? Nobody is ever going to find you, and that makes me sad. The pizza is damn good and I wish I could rate the joint higher, but any pizza place that runs out of pizza just can’t get a full thumbs-up from me.

Yum! I was visiting Seattle from SF and stumbled across this gem. I’m from Detroit so when I saw«authentic Detroit pizza» it caught my eye. I happened to be the first customer to try the Detroit style pizza so the head chef was. excited about my opinion. So… Was it good??? Well — - I ordered a whole pizza and ate ¾’s of it. It was delicious! The crust was amazing and he totally nailed it on the head. I wish I lived in Seattle. I would eat here frequently! Also, the service is extremely good. The bartender was friendly and talked to me about the city for awhile.
