This is a true review. I went there 2 days ago for dinner… omg…soup is the worst soup in town. Taste liked nothing. I asked a waitress, she took back my soup to the kitchen to fix. they didn’t even warm it up… maybe just added in a little salt and MSG… then brought back to us. I just tried a spoon then left it there without taking it home. I will never come back there for dinner; dim sum maybe ok, in case of emergency; otherwise, don’t waste your money there. That’s why this place is very empty nowadays.

Their dim sum is very delicious in the morning and reasonable price, as for there dinner it wasn’t that great and the food came out all at once. Making some dishes cold before I could even get to it. My meal would’ve taste better if the workers wasn’t talking about there bad service because of the kitchen in CHINESE, assuming we don’t understand. Also maybe because I am Chinese, therefore I probably have a higher expectation for Chinese food.

This is my favorite dim sum place in Seattle. It’s not like a fancy place but always makes me satisfied with great taste of dum sum.

First of all… this place hasn’t closed! There were 2, the one in Chinatown«New Hong Kong» closed down. This restaurant remains open. Love LOVE this place! The owners and staff members are always super nice, courteous, and very efficient with orders. I love their food! So yummy, the honey walnut prawns, salt and pepper squid, shui mai, beef brisket, shrimp dumplings are my favorites! Coming here for morning dimsum is a must and tradition. If you’re looking for yummy Chinese food for a great price… come here!

This is our family’s traditional go to restaurant for celebrations of birthdays, Thanksgiving, Christmas and all other holidays you can think of. Our favorite time is mid-day so we can have their dim sum. We have never never ever gone out of their hungry. There lots on the menu but when they serve dim sum, it’s not necessary to order from the menu. You have to watch out though, those waitresses are pretty agressive selling you the small portions. Look at what’s on their cart and it may end up on your table. The reason why it has a 4 start instead of a five? Parking… the lot is unimproved and markings are not very well done. Lots of parking but bet ready to take a hike. It’s not very organized. If the landlord took time to improve the lot and mark the spaces, they could probably get more cars on the lot.

This is my favorite place for dim sum for 3 basic reasons: 1. I live extremely close to here. 2. It’s REALLY clean and there’s lots of space. 3. Food is good and portions are sufficient. I’ve been to a lot of dim sum places where the shumai or shrimp balls looked like they’ve been sitting around for a while. At Hong Kong, everything is always fresh. The service is good, all the servers make an effort to accommodate you. Everyone working at the registers are always polite. I remember walking down here when it snows a few years back for their lunch specials. To this day, it’s still a great value. That hot and sour soup brings back memories. I’ve personally never had the Peking duck with steamed buns but my best friend raves about them here.

This is our favorite restaurant on the south end. Great food, excellent service and family owned, which is so nice. We love the dim sum, with so many seafood options, as well as the noodles and soups. We highly recommend the pea vine — steamed with garlic, and scallop dim sum dumplings — and my kids love the hum bao and walnut prawns. If you’re craving Chinese, want to support a local family business and want great dine in or take out options, we strongly recommend Hong Kong Seafood!

I typically don’t like eating Chinese food but when I ate here it changed everything!!! The food is so good. I LOVE their salt and pepper squid. If you have room for desert, order the mango pudding :) This place is perfect for groups because they have huge round tables with lazy susans. I’m taking off one star for their customer service. I’ve been there about 3 times and noticed the servers were not being attentive. But that’s not gonna stop me from coming back!

Me lady and I showed up when they opened. There were only a couple of other people there so i loved that. They rolled the carts by a lot. For a dim sum meal our bill was 40 bucks not because it’s expensive but because we are dim sum pigs and ordered just about one of everything. We had no problems here so five stars it is. Can’t wait to get my dim sum fix again soon …

Had dim sum lunch there on a visit(05÷30÷15), and while it was okay, it wasn’t what I would have expected from a restaurant in Seattle’s Chinatown. Certainly tasty though, and the service was very friendly and accommodating. If you’re not ready to go full-on exploring the authentic cuisine, this may be a good start for you.

My go to dim sum fix. Been coming here for years now. Customer service is hit and miss, most of their servers have English as their 2nd language so sometimes it’s hard to communicate. Dim sum is served all day but they stop pushing the cart at 3pm, so you’ll have to order dim sum off the menu. Order the salt and pepper squid!!! Best advice is avoid Sundays, events and holidays(mothers day, fathers day, valentines day, etc.) thats when it’s over crowded. Expect long wait for food if you show up during these days. Otherwise best dimsum around.

Coming in I was acknowledged, but getting a seat took forever. They had many options for dim sum, the food tasted good. The only reason I am really giving them a 1 star is due to the fact that i ended up getting food poison. I am not sure exactly what I ate but something must of not been cooked or prepared right.

This place has been my favorite ever dim sum spot for the past 10 years. There are a few people who have been there for a very long time and they are consistent. Yes, sometimes they are borderline pushy, but the service is pretty quick. And the food is great– we usually tear up the footballs, steamed shrimp balls, baked pork humbows, and the sweet bun! I take a new friend there all the time, and then we make it our once a month gathering place.

This review is for takeout only. I was craving bbq pork fried rice the other night while staying at my boyfriend’s place in RB. I didn’t know where to go, and Unilocal sent me here. Calling in my order was a bit odd– the man on the phone just said ‘ok we have your order’ and then hung up. No estimated time or anything. So, I went over there about 10 minutes later(hoping it was done and that the order was correct). And it was! I only got friend rice. It was about $ 8 for a huge portion. The food was good, hot, and the woman in the restaurant was very friendly. While we didn’t stay, the inside of the restaurant was huge and looked very nice. They also have a huge parking lot. I will definitely be back!

Yep, definitely experienced better. I really wanted to like this place because it was one of the better experiences I’ve had with dim sum places but they stuck us in the corner and barely came to us with carts of food. I had to order some items off the menu and it took around 15 minutes to show up. I was starting to think they forgot about us! One of the things I don’t like about going to a dim sum place, the waitresses don’t speak much English, they try to force food onto your table when you haven’t requested it. I’m not a very stern person so I’m easily persuaded for the most part. I had to be strict and tell them no I don’t want chicken feet and some other weird stuff. I want what I want, that’s why I go to a restaurant. The food was decent, better than what I’ve tried at other places but the thing that really let me down… There were no red bean or taro buns… that I could enjoy for dessert. There was some Taro Beehive or something … I even asked the guy whether they had anything Taro related. I thought this was going to be some deep-fried SWEET taro bun but… yea boy was I wrong… It was nasty. I could only taste the oil from being fried, there was weird meat inside it… and barely any taro. It was gross but I forced it down. since we were paying for the whole thing. Ruined my whole experience. No thanks. The food was good enough that maybe I will come back but I will know better than to choose something I don’t know of.

Solid dim sum offerings, although not as many options for vegetarian family members. The service was pretty quick and it was pretty empty on Christmas Eve. I really like that they have a big parking lot, unlike a lot of dim sum spots in the I-District and Bellevue. Their siu mai was pretty good and the rest were pretty good as well. I liked the chow fun dish my in-laws ordered — delicious soy sauce for the win! They seemed to be out of a lot of things that most Chinese restaurants would have, like Choi sum, ong choi, etc. I would still go back on those days when I’m not willing to brave traffic and fight for parking in the I-District.

For my second visit here, I wanted to try some new things, and get some of the same items again. Most of the things we wanted weren’t on the carts, but the person who seated us took our order almost immediately. I love the sweet filling in the steamed sweet butter bow. The wrapper on the shark fin dumplings got a little soggy this time, and I wasn’t expecting the fried shrimp balls to be so tightly packed with chopped-up meat. I enjoyed the Shanghai dumplings; it was pretty cool to have a dumpling with soup inside, and it had good flavor. The chow mein was also delicious. Tons of variety, great prices, and quick service — I definitely recommend this restaurant for dim sum.

Overall pretty yummy, but I wasn’t terribly impressed. My water was never refilled, which is a pet peeve of mine, and the waitress was nice but a little scatter brained. I got the Combo A for $ 12 and it included soup of the day, barbequed pork, sweet and sour pork, fried prawns, chicken chow mein, and pork fried rice. The chow mein was a little dry and the fried rice was a little too salty but it’s a pretty good deal. Very laid back vibe inside. I would come back to try the dim sum.
