Turkey avocado sandwich was good. Delicious bread and fresh ingredients! I recommend anyone who wants to treat themselves to a nice lunch to stop at here.

Awesome gluten free sandwiches. The bread was delicious and tasted really fresh! All around great experience.

I didn’t come to home grown to pay $ 4.38 for potato chips that were bagged from lays kettle chip bags… What a rip off! They used to make their own stuff, not anymore… According to their employee, they«streamlined» as they opened more locations. I am not sure that turning a $ 2 bag of potato chips that anyone can buy in Walmart into $ 20 worth of tiny packets with a homegrown sticker is what I would call«streamline»…

Had the Chicken Pesto sandwich. It was tasty. I really like how quality the food feels. The feeling of fullness didn’t last long after eating, though, especially for the price point. I would like to see this place using higher quality bread sourced from place more definitely local. There is a sense of uniformity to what Homegrown produces that speaks to the fact that it is a chain establishment, despite that it is damn tasty and easy to recommend to anyone who is hungry. If you haven’t been to one of these yet, it’s worth trying.

I wish I could give this place 5 stars, because the food is fabulous. However, the atmosphere in the café is horrible. It’s noisy, the line formations are confusing, tables don’t get wiped down often enough, the aluminum chairs are cold and uninviting, the music they play seems to be more for the employees than to make the customers feel welcome, and there’s some kind of loud fan noise(maybe from the cooktop hood?) that is distracting at best. Having said this, their food is outstanding! The BLT is to die for, their salads are tasty and innovative, and I love that their ingredients are organic and ethically sourced. The service is usually friendly(I’ve had a few workers there be a bit brusk, but it was during busy times and I understand the world of customer service — it’s not always the easiest gig!). My recommendation is to order your food to go. Take one of their delicious sandwiches to a nicer location with better atmosphere and you can’t go wrong!

All and all they have good quality. Of course, you will have to pay for that quality. it’s not the price that gets me. Even though I walked out of there with a sandwich and a salad for $ 30 dollars. I placed my order to go at 1:15PM on Saturday. i walked out at 1:55 pm. 40 minute wait for a sandwich and a salad. What really grinds my gears is that there were 7 – 8 employees behind the counter. if you have time to kill and feel like waiting around this is the place for you.

I was underwhelmed by my latest sandwich, a breakfast«avocado, egg & cheese»($ 8). I love simple sandwiches like this… but for $ 8 I was expecting it to have some kind of oomph to it. It was under seasoned, there wasn’t much avocado and the bread was only so-so. To be clear, I’m not a salt freak… it just was missing seasoning or flavouring. I was still hungry after I ate it… partially because I wanted something to engage my taste buds and also because it was on the small side. Service was friendly. It’s super light & clean in here… with so many other food options on top of Queen Anne however, I’ll choose something else next time.

I went into a Homegrown in hopes to sit down with my laptop for a light dinner and hot tea considering it was dumping rain outside. I ordered the Beet Salad that was very disappointing. The balsamic vinaigrette dressing was so acidic alt hat it was hurting my mouth with every bite. I asked for mixed greens as well as kale and received no kale. The salad was horrible. I had about 3 bites and was done with it. The wifi also was not working so I had to connect to Starbucks wifi from across the street. Overall not a good experience and I definitely won’t be going back. Oh and it was way overpriced.

Great lunch place with quite some vegan options, friendly service and a really nice atmosphere. I love their TLT on whole wheat bread with their super delicious baby greens(they come with cherry tomatoes, sunflower seeds and a tasty balsamic vinaigrette) as a side. One of my favorite lunch places in the city, thank you Homegrown!

A bit pricey, but the TLT is delicious. I love that you can order a ½ sandwich and that all of their bread, sauces, and dressings are vegan. This is a great location at the top of the hill and very clean. We took some out of town guests here recently and it was a crowd pleaser.

Went here for the first time this evening! Had the roast beef sandwich and it was great! I walked away thinking I overpaid but knowing that everything was organic and fresh brought some peace of mind. Go check it out!

I absolutely love Homegrown. I’ve eaten here probably 10 – 15 times and have tried nearly everything and have never been disappointed by anything on the menu. My favorite is probably the Ham + Beechers, but the Roast Beef and Stumptown rubbed Pork sandwiches are also highlights. For gluten-free options you can get any sandwich put over your choice of greens or have their delicious gluten free bread. So many yums! Big fan of the dry soda’s they offer as well. Sandwiches are a little pricey for the size, but once you bite into it you’ll realize it’s well worth the extra penny!

An upscale sandwich place that also has a simple breakfast menu. I don’t eat bread so fortunately they have a few salads and a vegetarian chili and a soup of the day from which to choose. I chose the Roast Chicken Salad. I did not feel like I needed to ask the question but I did. «are the dressings homemade?» «No» they are from Sysco! Ahhh! At a place called Homegrown! Down to 3 stars! The boys really enjoyed their sandwiches.

The seasonal sandwich, butternut squash and maple, was delicious. Their French bread was soft with a light crunch on the outside and didn’t tear up the roof of your mouth(like French bread sandwiches sometimes do). The entire sandwich didn’t have much texture(squash, kale, and goat cheese), but the flavours went well together so I’d give the sandwich 4 out of 5 stars. There was a machine running in the kitchen(meat slicer or oven?) that was extremely loud almost the entire time I was there eating my sandwich(–2 stars). The store itself was not very cleanly: smudged windows, used napkin chilling on the floor, and crumbs and dust everywhere(–1 star). I will not be back.

Too expensive for what you get. A few of my friends are obsessed with this place, so I decided I’d try the turkey sandwich with no avocado, and a side of soup. They don’t have prices posted, but I figured a $ 10 bill would suffice. Little did I know I would be forking over $ 15 for this… The sandwich was just ok, but the soup was good. Not worth that much money though. I was also disappointed to find avocado on my sandwich when I got home. Here’s my tip for Homegrown: Move into a different location that’s not on the corner. Your rent will be cheaper and you won’t have to charge insane amounts for your food. And hire more friendly people upfront. The girl treated me like I was a five year old, and was annoyed when my phone rang while I was ordering. She should have thanked me for my business instead of making it seem like I was an inconvenience to her. I won’t be going back.

Came here for a breakfast sandwich on a Saturday. It was fairly empty and I was served quickly. I got the avocado egg and cheese breakfast sandwich, and it was yummy! One of the great things about this place is the option to order half sizes of any sandwich. Too often I go to a place and I get a sandwich the size of my head that I can’t finish! In general it seems that the option to order half sizes is rare so this is a great feature, and even better is that they discount accordingly with the half order. The full size of my breakfast sandwich would have been $ 8 but I paid $ 4.50. At many other establishments that offer half orders, they might only take off a dollar or two from the price even though you’re only getting half, so this is great. They also offer a lot of vegetarian and vegan options. All of the bread is vegan, and the other vegan items are clearly noted on the menu. The soups look tasty as well. I took my order to go. The seating area has a good atmosphere and seems very clean, but the fans are very noisy and it would be difficult to carry on a conversation with someone over the noise. Also, because of the powerful ovens, it seems to be one of those places where you leave smelling like you’ve been working there. Overall I enjoyed my breakfast and I like the sustainable/organic thing they have going on, so I would come back.

One of the best sandwiches in town. Somehow they have added new locations and kept the same consistency, I am always pleased with a sandwich from homegrown! My only beef is, a bit pricey, and the tables they have(especially in the Queen Anne location) are kind of cheap and hard to eat on. They’re the kind of tables that you need to fold up a napkin and put underneath one leg in order to stabilize better… I would try their breakfast, heck, I would try anything; everything I’ve ordered from Homegrown is incredible!

Om nom nom! Soooo happy my girlfriend’s sister turned me on to this place! The sandwiches are INCREDIBLE. Yes the price is higher than most places, but you can literally taste the difference. Screw Jimmy John’s, sorry Jim, but this place is amazing! Breakfast sandwiches are the bomb!

I went here recently for lunch and had the ham and Beecher’s cheese sandwich with greens, carmelized onions, and aioli($ 11). I wasn’t really expecting that much from a sandwich shop, but I was blown away of how tasty this sandwich was. I also got this on french bread. The bread was really soft, but not heavy feeling. not to mention it’s also ok for vegans! The sauce and onions were so delicious and sweet, but was balanced with the ham. I got a whole and split my sandwich with my boyfriend. I had half of this and half of the chicken pesto. I’m not a huge fan of chicken, but the pesto was really tasty! We also shared a creamy broccoli soup, which I thought was okay. Overall, I really really enjoyed their sandwiches. I came back a few days later and got the portobello mushrooms, goat cheese, pesto, onions and greens($ 9). Also tasty, and surely wasn’t disappointed. I also got to try the pastrami sandwich with swiss, pickles, onions, and aioli. Both of these were really good. The sauces really make the sandwich and I can’t wait to try the others… I’m a fan! But I’m not a fan of the price :([Minus one star] It’s a little pricy, but I think it’s worth it. I’ve also had their chips cooked in peanut oil. Yummmm!
