I’ve visited galleries all over the world, including some very high end galleries in NYC and usually get a greeting or some decent engagement on the paintings… Not so here.
You never know in this Seattle software economy who is walking around with money in their pockets, so it may pay to be nice… It’s chilly in Seattle.

I like art and I like supporting art but I could really do without the ‘tude that some of the people that host these events dish out. I went to an event here last night, the art was fantastic but the hosts were about as rude as you can get. I was dressed appropriately and obviously there with other friends enjoying said art, I in no way looked like a vagrant from the street. I asked one of the hosts if I could use a restroom and her reply was «WEEEE do not PROVIDE public restrooms.» She did make a point to emphasize the words we and provide with the par for the course roll of the eyes. Thanks for making an awesome impression, enjoy the rest of your small life.
