Attended Rosh Hashanah services here for the first time. The synagogue was very pretty and comfortable with a warmly lit atmosphere. The Rabbi seemed very kind and thoughtful and I enjoyed his sermon, which was peppered with colorful and thought-provoking metaphors(like: on a probe’s recent voyage to Mars, a technician accidentally exposed the drills to the air before takeoff, and the scientists were therefore reluctant to use them on this pure ground, lest they contaminate the planet with Terran microbes. On Rosh Hashanah, don’t be afraid to dig in your soul!). The JConnect dinner afterward was very pleasant and on the whole it was a lovely and spiritual evening.
