As a first timer and one who has always been deeply terrified of waxing my biscuit, I relied heavily on Unilocal to find my perfect groomer. High brow pops up, and as I scroll through the 4 – 5 star reviews, I become confident in my decision to deflower my brazillian waxing experience. After all, for fifty bucks plus an eyebrow wax thrown in as a first-​timer, you can’t beat that! Peggy is super friendly and comforting. If this is your first time, do it with her! She will take good care of you. Trust me! I will most definitely come back to her!

Peggy is amazing. It really is that simple. As I sat down to write this review, I realized, I’ve been going to Peggy for my brows for 10 years! I had wandered into Aria as a dorky freshman at Seattle U and was immediately intimidated by her coolness. I have naturally really thick brows and had it set in my head that ultra thin was the look I needed. Peggy set me straight right away; I left with the perfect face-​framing arch and just the right amount of thickness/​thinness. Ever since that day, people have been complimenting my brows left and right. I, as many of her clients have experienced the occasional scorn when attempting to tackle the brows myself… but I’ve come to learn that its only for my own good.
After years of brow waxing, I tried getting a Brazilian and am now hooked. Peggy knows how to make, what could be an uncomfortable situation, easy. Peggy is a perfectionist, which is exactly what you want in someone handling your face (and other parts), but more importantly, she truly does care about her clients. She wants you to look good, so just sit back and let her do her thing.
After years at Aria, Peggy’s studio now resides in the upper portion of Retail Therapy on Pike and Broadway (on Capital Hill). The space is a perfect reflection of herself; simple, modern and always looking polished. If it isn’t already clear, I HIGHLY recommend going to Peggy for your aesthetic needs.

I stopped coming here after about a year. Pegi does a good job, but she was just too critical for me and I couldn’t take it anymore!

Pegi is incredible. Hands down the best esthetician I’ve ever been to. I’m so glad she has her own space, above Retail Therapy on Pike just off Broadway. She’s quick, extreeeeemely meticulous, and does an amazing job. I’ve begun growing back my brows just so she can work her magic – and it’s working! Definitely stop in and let her do some work, you won’t regret it!

Take note people: Pegi Carnahan, formerly the esthetician and nail artist at Aria, has left and has her own new digs down the street! She shares her space with Retail Therapy so stop on by for some of the best waxing in Seattle! Don’t delay… what better way to start the new year off right than with a little personal maintenance and up keep?! You don’t want to be embarrassed if your New Year’s Eve kiss turns into something a little more now do you girls?!
Her new space is located on the loft/​mezzanine level and is simplistic with cool white chairs and serene green walls. The green wall color continues into the waxing room. As always, Pegi’s the best at what she does and her rates remain the same.
