This review is for Lucy at Hair on the square. Lucy is a true professional through and through. I was getting ready for a wedding and my hair was in bad shape when I walked in. Lucy was great through out the process she was skilled and knowledgeable about her craft. Lucy spent some time consulting with me and continued to communicate with me through the process. Her professional friendly and collaborative nature helped me transform my damaged multicolored home dyed hair into a beautiful champagne blond just like I wanted. I also was amazed at the cut I received. Lucy really listened and was flexible with all my suggestions through out the cut. For the first time I feel like I got the cut I always wanted. All this for an amazing price and deal that I am positive I would not have found any other place. Thank you lucy for your great work.

Not only can you get your hair cut, but Warren will shine your shoes. He’ll even have them repaired for you. He is a gem in Pioneer Square.

Shoe Shine in Pioneer Square! Thank You Warren Johnson! Well worth the $ 7 price. I was expecting a quick application of color with a wipe-off. I had gotten used to how my shoes looked and went in to get the scratches diminished. What I got was a full-service, muti-step process that has my shoes looking like new! With the variety of tools and techniques he used, I also ended up getting a bit of a foot massage.

The haircuts here are decent, and relatively affordable for the area(~$ 25). The owner can be a little surly. I asked her if she could channel cut my hair, and she said, «We don’t do there.» I didn’t have the guts to ask why not.
