Great service! The salmon was cooked perfectly! And who can say no to an accordion player!

I sauntered in while exploring Seattle and this place hit the proverbial spot with a nice personal pizza and glass of red wine. The server, Victor, was great and chatted with me a bit. He even let me sample a nice port that was on the shelf. God, I love port… Anyways, if I lived in the area, I could see myself being a regular at this place. Check it out, hope you enjoy it.

Cold white wine with authentic brushchette takes me back to Florence, just a few blocks from the Uffizi. Forte is the perfect little spot to grab a(delicious) quiet bite and a quick glass of vino away from the chaos of Pikes Place Market.

This was a cute small café. Loved the food and the atmosphere, good service and highly surprised it was empty. When I visit seattle again I’ll definitely be going back to try more of their food!

This place was great. We went here because we had a groupon and we ended up getting bruscetta and the cheese and meat plate to start. I definitely liked the meat and cheese platter to begin with. Hub had a pizza and I had a panini. The panini was a little lacking on the cheese and meat, but the pizza was great. We also had the tiramisu that was pretty good. Hub had the wine sampler(red) and he liked 4⁄5 of them. I had sparkling moscato and LOVEDIT! The service was a tad bit on the slower side, but there was only one person working there and he was serving all the tables and making all the food, as well as pouring all the drinks so it was completely justifiable. The server was great when he was around.

We stopped in for some coffee since we were just waiting for a friend in the area. We ordered a cappuccino, but the coffee tasted burnt. We were pretty disappointed. But, our server was super friendly and even though we only came in for a coffee, he offered us water and we didn’t feel at all unwanted. Definitely a lovely place for coffee and dessert(though I’m still a bit weary about the coffee).

Was invited here for group dinner. It didn’t even register on my radar before this. I ordered the salad pizza that came with a bunch of arugula on top — they did not skimp, and I was happy with my peppery greens. Other people ordered the gnocchi and they were very happy with this. Prices are reasonable and good decent. They had serve yourself water pitchers on the table but the server awkwardly would reach over during dinner and fill everyone’s glasses which is good service, but was kind of annoying and interrupted conversation.

We went for lunch with a Groupon and were pleasantly surprised! We shared the antipasti, which was good but really should have come with bread. I had the calzone with salad special, and both were very tasty — the salad dressing is delicious. My boyfriend ordered a panini, which was on bread from Macrina that was to die for. In fact, we walked around the corner after lunch and picked some up. All in all, a very nice lunch and the man that was running the show(waiting the table and cooking) was very nice. We’ll most definitely be back.

Went here with the boyf when our intended destination had closed early due to the riots downtown. Very small and very cute. There were about 5 others there when we came in around 8pm. They had a small menu available; the server would later tell us that the chef who normally prepares pastas and such was off that night, and encouraged us to come back again(giving us a $ 5 voucher, nice!). We split a house salad and each got a pizzette, and we split a carafe of house wine. $ 12 for a carafe(about 3 full glasses) of decent wine isn’t bad! Neither of us are fans of chardonnay(the house white for that evening), but it wasn’t bad at all. The house salad is one of the few reasons this place lost a star: quite a few of the leaves were bruised to the point of being sort of gooey and really unappetizing. But the cheese, dressing, etc., all lovely. The pizzettes were fantastic, I was expecting very small personal pizzas due to the low price, but they were a very good size, enough for one generous serving or enough for 2 people to snack on. The crust was amazing, too. I got«tartufo», which had mushrooms, red onions, and the pleasing addition of parsley, with no red sauce(which is GREAT in my book). One weird complaint: the chairs are very small and rickety. I am a petite woman and I felt like I was going to break one! While one of the tables had sturdy benches, I don’t think anyone tall or even remotely overweight would be comfortable in the little chairs. Nice dim lighting, and pretty quiet, would be a great place for a date or to take visitors. All in all, awesome! I will definitely return to try their coffee, pastas, and more.

Great place! The service was spectacular and the wine was a great deal. It all was $ 6 a glass, so you could try many different styles without feeling like you were getting priced out of the good stuff(of what might be the good stuff). I didn’t try the pizza, but only because I had just eaten before stopping here. If I was moderately hungry I would have dove right in because they smelled and looked delicious!

just stopped in for coffee/desserts after dinner. WOW, the coffee was amazing, we had a decaf americano(my friend raved it was the best he’s had in his life), i get steamers everywhere i go(and it was probably the best i’ve ever had in my life), and another friend had a regular cappuccino(also awesome). we shared the tiramisu(delicious!) plus two small side desserts(cinnamon roll and something else). all were great. can’t wait to return to try the actual food and wine on the menu. décor is nice too. what a fun place. :) was so happy to have stopped in here.

Really good and simple food. The place is run by two guys, both of whom were really friendly. I sat at the bar, and really enjoyed the food and the ambiance. I decided to go with the special that the guy suggested(at first I thought he was the bartender, but then I saw him pull out two pans and start making my gnocci) It was a real treat watching my food being prepared right in front of my eyes. Definitely going back. I have had bad Italian food and I have had good italian food. This is good. It may not blow you away, but it is sincere. The portion sizes are not what you may find in other restaurants in the US. They are smaller, and sensible.

Technically this is a 3.5 star place. Nothing amazing, but I would definitely go back. Good bank for your buck! Ambiance: 4⁄5 — Cozy café, simple warm décor. Service: 3.5÷5 — We had the place to ourselves so hard to tell but they were attentive and provided good information on the selections and wine list. Server seemed to be a little nervous(new) but effort was there. Food: 3⁄5: Large portions, good prices. Nothing blew us away. Mush, garlic Pizza needed more flavor. Gnocchi was not bad and well priced at $ 10 Drinks: 3⁄5: Good selection of $ 6 — $ 10 wines.

I’ve been to Italy before and this keeps taking me back. The food is authentic fresh and I have yet to have anything short of an incredible meal. Colton and Enrico will take care of you.

Cute little café shop, the employees are great and very friendly and attentive. They made sure that my experience there was well spent. The food was absolutely amazing. Very careful detail and taste was put into each dish to bring out the beauty and flavor. I definitely recommend this place to anyone that loves Italian food. You will absolutely love it!

My boyfriend and I ate at Forte during our first night in Seattle. It’s a cute little café type shop that serves coffee/desserts as well as full on meals. We decided to visit the shop because we saw the Groupon now deal and the high reviews on Unilocal. When we walked in, around 6:00 p.m., there was one other customer there, ordering food to-go, I believe. We were quickly helped and ordered: –Margherita Pizzette(about $ 5): this pizza had a nice super thin, crisp crust. It was tasty, but not as stand-out as some of the other dishes. It was about the size of the average dinner plate and tasted freshly made. –Calzone(about $ 5): this was a bit different than other calzones I’ve had. The crust was a bit heavier than expected, but still good. It was filled with broccoli, cheese and sausage and had a nice flavor. It was served with a side mixed greens tossed in vinaigrette and a few olives and tomatoes. I really enjoyed the salad, actually. –Bruschetta(about $ 5): my boyfriend and I agree that this is the best bruschetta we’ve ever had. The bread was toasted just perfectly. It had a nice crunch to it at the edges, but a softness/chewiness to the bread as well. The bread broke evenly with each bit, not crumbling(like other bruschetta dishes I’ve had). The tomatoes on top were very flavorful and the olive oil and basil were perfect compliments. The dish came with five pieces and was a wonderful accompaniment to our dinner. –Limonata Sanpellegrino(about $ 2): this is one of my favorite drinks. About average price for a can of this soda. Overall, everything was very good and tasted very fresh. The food came out nice and hot and the prices are very fair. The man preparing the food seemed to put a lot of detail into the food he was preparing and he genuinely seemed to care about if we enjoyed the food. It’s a casual little place, and I’d recommend.

We wanted pizza, most other places were closed, and this place was a bit of a gamble based on the few reviews it had. Still, it completely paid off, this place is GREAT. My girlfriend got the white pizza with mushrooms and onions, whereas mine was a red pizza with arugula. First off, each pizza is a big personal, but maxed out at $ 6 each, which is really not too shabby for their size. Second, the pizza itself was great. I’d give it a 4, but my girlfriend claimed hers was the best white pizza she had had in years, so I’m rounding up to a 5 star. They also had some delicious looking Paninis that I really want to try soon. Then there’s the service — the lady working there was REALLY friendly and attentive, very honest in her recommendations and not overbearing. The wine server at the bar was this skinny well put together Italian guy who started singing out to Mambo Italiano, which totally made the experience in itself. They dimmed the lights for us, which I thought was absolutely hilarious. In terms of looks, this place is quaint and understated, just enough décor to make it comfortable, but not so much that it feels like they’re desperately trying. At the end we tried some Pasta Di Mandore, a little almond paste dessert(only a dollar each) that was served with some white sugar, and it COMPLETELY cinched the meal for me, absolutely delicious. Ask for it though, they don’t have it on the menu, they are just now experimenting with it I guess. Overall, this was a great experience, good food and atmosphere for surprisingly cheap prices, I really hope business picks up there, it was so nice!

I went here because I had a Groupon and because the reviews here were so good. The people were pretty nice, but the waiter kept making the lights dimmer and dimmer. It was very cold inside as well. The menu is less than one page long and Forte is more of a coffee shop than a restaurant. The food was ok, not memorable by any means. They are also very lacking in vegetarian options. All this would have been alright, but the waiter didn’t know about the Groupon promotion at the end and made a very awkward scene when we were trying to pay and leave. I won’t be going here again and reccomend buying a Groupon for somewhere else if possible.
