Checked out Farvahar recently for lunch, pretty good spot inside Pike Place Market/Post Alley. If you cant find it, go to Rachel’s Ginger Beer and it’s across the hall. Similar set up as most of the food booths in that part of the building, kinda of a diner look with stools where you can sit at the counter and a few tables surrounding the area. I tried the #6, beef kabob plate, it was pretty good. You get 2 good sized beef kabobs, an option of a full rice plate or half rice/half salad plate. I chose the latter. Beef kabob had a nice grill on it, tasted pretty simple and nice & tender. I thought I would be eating hamburger meat on a stick but it was far from that, seemed like it was homemade to me. Salad was pretty basic with a yogurt kind of dressing. Saffron rice was pretty good too, didnt seem old, seemed like it was made that day. Lunch was fine and would come back again and recommend to a few coworkers(the cool ones only). It wasnt too busy there, and also in that part of the building, it doesnt get too crowded to annoy you. Staff was friendly and nice, helpful in explaining the menu, recommend any popular items etc. Price was under $ 10 so that’s always a plus!

Random discovery walking the streets near Pikes Place market. I went in and immediately fell in love with the place… Imagine an Iranian Restaurant with a diner feel. Very good food with an equally cool owner. If you’re in the greater Seattle metropolitan area I highly recommend you check out this spot.

the kebab wasn’t bad for the price. the location is great, it’s close to the pike’s place and the gum wall. So if you have guests and you’re showing them around, it”s a great place to grab a quick bite.

The best kotlet and kashke bademjoon you can find in a restaurant! The smokiness of the eggplants and the crunchy walnuts in kashke bademjoon reminded me of my Mom’s cooking. Everything tasted so homemade! Great job guys :)

Food was absolutely delicious and service was friendly and efficient. Options seem healthy in general, and all the food I tasted was very very good. I will definitely come back :).

The food is pretty good if you know what to order, I would stick to chicken and beef kabab. They are pretty good with half salad and half rice dish being my favorite. Rice has a nice flavor. I was going to give it a 4 star though bumped it up to 5 because of the staff friendlynes. We ordered for 4 people and it came up to 40 $ about $ 10 per person. I think quite reasonable.

Rather than waiting in line for the Clam Chowder, we chose to eat here instead and the place did not disappoint. Each order was made to perfection. Freshly made and seasoned properly. I had the salmon which was yummy and the beef kebab was on point.

Maybe it was my choice of food but I was disappointed with the food and the service. And I usually love all foods. Ate here for lunch and ordered the«fresh» mahi polo. It was priced at $ 8.85 but was charged $ 10.75the salmon came out of the freezer in a little package and was microwaved for five minutes, salted with some red seasoning and then grilled. There was a ton of rice and no veggies. And when I finally ate the salmon takeaway ten minutes later, it was hard and sooo salty. Incidentally, I had asked the guy why it was so expensive and not fresh and he said«none of the fish around here is fresh» and said his sign was wrong. I threw the lunch out and ended up having Bibimbap from a lunch truck.

Fresh friendly hearty healthy delish!!! I watched inattentive staff at the Thai restaurant right next door put something in the micrwave and I promptly left and went to Far’s where I got a fresh salad with white rice and amazing fresh chicken kabob. One of those dishes that was healthy AND tasty at the same time.

It was okay and I would have given them three stars if the price for the plates were a couple bucks less. I wouldn’t call this place authentic. I had the kebab with half rice and half salad. The rice was delicious. It had saffron mixed in. It came on a picnic plate with two 10″ strips of hamburger kebab. The plate and a soda was about $ 12.50 for lunch. I would value this meal at about $ 6 to $ 8, including the soda. On the bright side, the staff are really nice and friendly. Customer service was as it should be and I wish others would learn from these guys how to be nice and cool.

This is good Persian food in a convenient spot, and quick. Friendly gentleman that took and served my order. Persian food takes an incredible amount of time and labor, and you will taste it in the high-quality dishes offered. I had Ghormeh Sabzi, and it was spot on with what I’ve known to eat growing up in a Persian household. Stop here for a very healthy, real meal.

How I heard of this place: Newly established, only nine months prior, this Middle Eastern addition to the Post Alley dining establishments was found simply by walking through the crowdless space in search of lumpia. Type of cuisine: Persian cuisine, including kabobs, rice and traditionally popular khoreshts, with a handful of sides and bottled/canned beverages. Ambiance: Quaint and new, this cranberry-plum-colored space is perfectly situated in a corner spot with plenty of seating. The entirety of corner counter space being used to showcase beverages, the cash register and barquette seating, the space inside can be completely dedicated to the extensive, clean kitchen. Brightly lit, despite the lack of natural lighting, a friendly Persian man stops what he is doing at the stove to greet us kindly and give us a run-down of menu items. What I ordered: Only two hours away from our dinner reservations, we decided to break our walk from Seattle’s Great Wheel to the Sculpture Garden and back with lemonades($ 2 each) all around! What I loved: Slightly sweet, slightly tart, a refreshing afternoon pick-me-up for the sun-laden walkers. Why I loved it: The space is quaint, clean and serves all of my favorites from childhood. While the opportunity wasn’t there to sample the food on this visit, a return trip is likely in order. Cost: Average($ 8 — $ 9 per lunch entrée)

Must stop for us when we go to Seattle. Sandwiches are amazing here. Love their lamb burger. And their Shirazi Salad, the guy made it fresh in front of us, chopped up all the ingredients.

A hidden gem in pike place market, I had the rare luxury of being the only customer there(2pm during november) and I got to chit chat with the owner and an employee while I was eating. What friendly gentlemen. He oberved that I was eating a vegetarian option and proudly informed me of other items that could be prepared vegetarian. I would have come back because of my wonderful meal, but because of the incredible service I will surely be a regular and suggest you do the same. THANKYOU :)

I like this place, but the two stars is because almost every time I eat their food there ends up being little stones in it. I’m not sure where the little stones are coming from? I think probably the rice? This time I think I broke a crown. It really hurts. Otherwise, they’re very reasonably priced. The food is flavorful and aromatic, and the portions are pretty big.

I wanted to try something new in Pike Place that had at least 4 stars so I settled on this place. Let me start by saying that this café is kind of tricky to find(maybe it is because I don’t know my way around yet). After we finally located it, I realized I could have easily accessed it from the entrance between Rachel’s Ginger Beer and Pike Place Chowder. I had never had Persian food before so I was kind of at a loss about what to order. Luckily, the man at the register was super friendly and able to recommend some of their most popular dishes. My friend and I ordered the #4 and #6. You can have the #6 with rice or salad bottom. We chose the salad bottom and I’m so glad we did! I liked the #4, which was a shredded chicken breast complete with a lot of rice, saffron, and some barberries on top. I originally ate around the barberries as I wasn’t feeling adventurous. However, as the meal wore on, I tried them along with the chicken and I thought they complemented each other very nicely. The #6 was a kebab. The meat was tender and I loved how the salad complemented the meat as well. While I liked them both, I really liked the #6 with the salad bottom. I think this dish is a good dish to start with if, like me, you’ve never had Persian food before. I found the service really friendly. The space is only OK. It is located on the inside of the market so there aren’t really any windows and it can get kind of hot in there. All in all, really good experience with generous portions, friendly staff, and good food.

Being a Persian myself, I know how a good kabob should look and taste. This place is amazing. kabobs are fresh and nicely grilled and doesn’t have extra smelly fat. the rice was amazing, tasted like homemade rice my mom cooks, although the rice wasn’t not enough for me. I hope they rent a better place soon so they can serve more customers and in a nicer dishware :)

Tucked away in the market this is a perfect place to rest and get good food. Fresh and authentic ME food. The kebab and chicken were well prepared and the salad was awesome. Not a big fan of the rice, but you don’ t it with all the other deliciousness. Try the yogurt starters and you can use it with your meal. The main dude is very friendly and they take cc.

So far the best reasonably priced Persian food we have found. Had tons in the Bay Area but surprisingly tough to find good koobideh(kabob) here. Love their kabob sandwich and their hummus plate. The sandwich has lots of meat and fresh veggies. Their hummus has lots of parsley(or other herb) mixed in giving it more flavor. Ask for some hot sauce on the side — goes great with the hummus.

This café is a pleasant spot to pull in while strolling the Market region. The family staff(ma & pa + daughter?) is rather mellow, low-key yet friendly and nice. I looked over and got the Borani Eggplant up at the bar counter. Usually they ask to pay when you order but I asked about may get more food later. She talked to pop’s and it was ok. My lunch was good. It came with warmed bread(probably microwaved in sight, but was good enough — not too dry at all) and the mixture medley of eggplant, et al. Some scoopin’, some dippin’ & down she goes. It _may_be nice with a rice side, too, just a thought. After that, I get the day’s special, Lamb Burger, to-go sans the soda. This was good, as well. It’s not a line-deafening spot(even a few folks has a decent wait) but neat as is, nice flavors and a different, unique option.
