Good food TERRIBLE service Love the steak salad but have ordered to go twice and they forgot the dressing. The most important part. Very disappointing. Service in restaurant patchy too. Eh.

This place was awesome. Had an amazing burger and their beer selection is ok point. This is exactly what U village needs. If you like good beer you gotta check this place out. Their rotating taps had a really good variety and impressive choice from a awesome selection of brewers. The only reason I gave this place 4 stars instead of 5 is because it was a little pricier than I thought it ought to be for whst you got in terms of food, and their happy hour did not seem as good as some around the city. That being said I absolutely recommend this place and I will certainly be back, if only to drink from their amazing tap selection.

Went to Eureka for post work happy hour drinks. The happy hour deals are limited and a bit pricey. We had 2 rounds with cold truffle fries for $ 53. The service was great and the penicillin cocktail was delicious! The downside was the prices and food selection.

ALL I CANSAYIS… Happy Hour at Eureka! is a must. I came here for the first time with my cousin. We were contemplating on where to eat because we both were starving and she suggested this place– thankfully she did. We ordered the Chicken Tacos and Truffle Fries from the Happy Hour menu and it was super tasty and delicious. The reason for my 4 star rating is because of the poor customer service. Both my cousin and I were not satisfied with our server whatsoever. The both of us felt very unattended to the entire timed we dined in. I didn’t like how it took forever to get our water, to order and to receive our drinks. I could understand if there were plenty customers around but there wasn’t. I noticed our server and another were making conversation in the back and I wasn’t pleased with that at all because they never once checked on us. Honestly, it took forever for me to even grab someones attention. I am so glad that the food made up for the customer service or else I sadly wouldn’t return. I hope that your experience is better and that mine will be better as well.

Eureka… I don’t know how I have been convinced to keep coming back here because it’s always the same old story… lame. Well, I haven’t touched the food since my first terrible experience. We usually stop in here for a drink. It’s just convenient and they have televisions. Every time I come in and only for a drink, I leave disappointed and regretful of stepping into that establishment again. It’s like that guy that’s no good for you, does nothing for you, almost makes you feel bad about yourself and yet you still go back to them. Ya, that’s exactly how I feel about Eureka. For some reason, we came in after the Hawks crazy win last week! Not too many in the bar left and the bartender was just so slow and clueless. We asked for water, that took FOREVER and then we wanted to order a round of drinks and she just decided to take every order around us, even people that came in after us. Ya not a surprise, it’s Eureka, poor service and their wine glasses are for GIANTS apparently b/c they’re HUGE. Why I ask? It’s not like they give you a nice generous pour and it’s awkward to hold. So just a friendly warning, if you come, come with low expectations so you aren’t too disappointed when you leave, like me all the time.

I love this place. I’ve been here a few more times as of my last post in October 2014. The Napa Burger always satisfies, although it seems to have gotten greasier for some reason. Wait times: If you come before 11:45 a.m. for lunch or before 6:30 p.m. for dinner, then you won’t have to wait for a table, or if you do, then it’ll be a super short wait. Trust me, I hate waiting for a table and then waiting for the waitstaff to welcome the party and tell us the specials and ask if we want anything to drink other than water and that they’ll be back«soon» to take our order, and then waiting for the food to be made, and then waiting for people to take a million photos of their food to post on Instagram and/or snapchat. Just say no to waiting! Service: Excellent. Energetic. Friendly. Credit card: I know for a fact that they take American Express here. Score! Although if you have Chase Sapphire, then you’re better off getting 2x points since this is categorized as «food» after all. Overall: Increased from a 4-star rating to a 5-star rating because I love this place so much! Keep it up! But keep the grease down.

I was seated pretty quick, then i placed my order and got my drink within 4 minutes. Why am i giving a 1 star? Good question! 1– i ordered a cheeseburger and a soup. I specifically told the server to bring me the soup first, before the cheeseburger. After 15 minutes i got the cheeseburger, then 4 minutes later i got the soup. 2– the food felt cold, as if it’s been sitting somewhere waiting to be served for awhile. 3– it took them 5 minutes to get me the check. 4 it took them 13 minutes to get me my card and the receipt back. Note: the restaurant wasn’t busy. There were probably 4 – 6 tables being served and a bunch of servers slacking around.

Came with a big group twice everyone ordered just about everything on the menu… To keep it short I’ll mention what’s worth your time. Noise: Loud Food:American/burger spot The standout yummy: Nachos, Truffle Fries, Kale Salad, Various Burgers. My only disappointment I was recommended by the server to have the Bone Marrow Burger and it was surprisingly a very unflavorful burger, dry and less than a hint of any bone marrow. I even had a double Patty… still disappointed, especially for the most expensive burger on the menu. I tried bites of the other burgers which my party had like the Cowboy Burger and they were much better.

I only came here more for appetizers than for a full on entrée. My friend and I had been shopping all day and we both had to go home soon but needed a quick bite because we were starving. Their happy hour menu was really great and affordable. The portions were also awesome for the price you pray. My friend ordered a salad and bruschetta without bread(she is weird lol) so it was basically just the tomatos in the bruschetta flavors lol. I ordered the boneless wings and truffle fries. Both were amazing! the wings were delicious in flavor and the fries! YUM! It was so cheesy garlicky and buttery. We sat outside on the patio because my friend had her dog with her. The service was quick and friendly. I want to go back for a burger!

Happy Hour is good. Burgers are great. One of the best in the city IMHO. Don’t be deterred by the surrounding mall; you’re making a good decision. Also a very good and quite place to watch a Seahawks game.

One of my favorite places for happy hour, the food is tasty and the prices are reasonable! What I like is that there is a great offering of happy hour foods that span from fries, to nachos, to riblets and delicious mussels. I think this is a great place for a medium-ish sized party, where people are down to chill, grab a drink, and eat soe nibbles. Eureka is spacious and parking isn’t too tough so this is a great meatup spot. Ibelieve happy hour is all day on Mondays too. My favorite items are the truffle? cheesy? fries, they are delicious, especially with the creamy sauce on top. The mussels are another of my favorite, though sometimes not all of the mussels end up being cooked thuroughly(and dont open). I also really like the riblets, tasty little bits of buffalo flavored meaty tips. Eureka remains a staple of a nice and reasonable place to hangout in the U district and Iwill definately be back!

Eureka! Sure does have a fun name. Overall this would be an OK place to watch a game at the University Village as options are very limited(surprising for how close it is to UW). The downside here is the nachos tasted a bit off. The chips were a bit stale and there was an excessive amount of hot sauce on them making the flavor combination just horrible. The staff is what makes this place great though– would advise coming here for a great drink and maybe small snack but having the meal portion elsewhere(based solely on the nachos). The nachos just were pretty disappointing and not worth the $ 7 happy hour price for the quality and size. Feel bad giving them a low rating– but the 2 stars does equate to a two Meh, I’ve experienced better experience. Thanks though to the staff for the friendly service and being a part of the community but the food quality is why you ultimately go to a restaurant.

This place had great service and solid burgers. Went her on a whim with my wife when we were shopping in the U-Village. After a poor customer service experience at a unnamed store, it was refreshing to be taken care of at Eureka for dinner. The manager, hostess and our waitress made for a very enjoyable meal and a great date night. They had a wide variety of burgers and lots of beer to chose from. My wife ordered a bottle of wine(special: half off on Tuesdays). All looked great, and our food was delicious. We will definitely be back. With the limited options of quality bars close to the Husky’s stadium, Eureka’s bar looked like it could get the job done for a pre/post game meal/drink and catch a game. In fact, we’ll probably head there today before the game.

Walking around shopping, I was thinking that I wanted a burger but not just any burger, a special burger, a unique Burger, a Burger which demonstrated flair and creativity. Coming to Eureka I was far from disappointed. I had the Fresno fig burger which comes with bacon, goat cheese and a fig marmalade. It was the absolute perfect combination of sweet and savory, smoky and tart. We ate at the bar and the, Bar tender Derek, was knowledgeable, highly skilled and incredibly kind. We will definitely return when we are next in the area again

So this place is pretty good. If you are looking to have some beer while in the U Village this is a GREAT choice — better than the RAMIMO — due to their large selection and special daily tap. They have a lot of uncommon beers available, all American brewed. They also have a large whiskey selection as well. The Fresno fig burger is amazing, an unusual combination that is delicious! I did not like the veggie beet burger, it was too dense and dry. The onion rings were great, big and crispy — however there were only 3 rings as a side. Maybe it was because I upgraded my fries? I’m also not a big fan of their truffle fries as they don’t have enough flavor for me. The type of fries they use are good though, like a thick shoestring, fried up very crispy. I’ll definitely be back as they have lots of choices, and it’s a great space to take a break and chill.

We ended up at Eureka once we saw that Blue C was being moved /remodeled. It just seems like an overpriced burger sports bar. Super busy on a Friday night. My Original Eureka burger was fine. The fries were too dry though. I wouldn’t go back now knowing how sports-y it is inside

3.5 stars: Went with my girlfriends on a Wednesday night. We were planning to eat at a different restaurant in the area but we had to change last minute. Luckily they had room for a group of 8 in the bar(we were waiting for a table in the dining room, but my friend saw the empty table in the bar). I ordered the shrimp tacos which was about $ 9. It’s not«cheap» but luckily I was satisfied with the 2 tacos this order came with. I kept stealing the friend’s fries because they were good. Next time I’ll get myself a whole order for myself(hah!). There was live music, which was very nice. However(just a small con) there were times I couldn’t hear my friends across the table. Service was good– our waiter was attentive and gave us honest opinions about the beers. He gave my friend a suggestion on what to drink and a lot of girls liked it. Wouldn’t mind eating here again

If you like beer and burgers, this place is it for you! Unfortunately I’m not a beer person. But the burger was pretty tasty! I had a veggie patty burger that had blue cheese on it and it was amazing. The bun was super soft and warm. Get their truffle cheese fries!!! They have happy hour too.

I’ve been to Eureka several times and always have a pleasant experience. The food quality is great and the menu is diverse enough that it doesn’t feel like your everyday American fare. They have a great«hoppy»(happy) hour with $ 5 bloody mary’s, special cocktails, and cheap appetizers! On my recent visit, my friends and I ordered half a dozen apps to share. I always enjoyed the riblets(tender, fall-off-the-bone, and smothered in a buffalo sauce), truffle cheese fries(absolute must!!!), and the fish tacos(two tacos with fresh mango salsa, guac, and slaw). I also tried the«nacho average» nachos which were fantastic! Piled high with guac, shredded chicken, sour cream, jalapeño, and pico de gallo! The best part is that we all ate to our fill and the total came out to $ 6.85 per person! Each app ranges from $ 5 – 7 and they do not skimp on the portions! I’ve also tried their jalapeño egg burger, cowboy burger, classic burger, and grilled chicken sandwich, which was my personal favorite. I liked the sautéed red onions that adds texture but a bit of sweetness to the juicy grilled chicken. They offer a full bar with beers on tap, although they could up their hard cider selection. The ambiance is casual yet classy enough to be worthy of being in U Village. Dine indoors or on their patio… not too fancy so my shorts and sandals combo is fine here! :)

After a day of shopping, my friends and I decided to come here because it was one of the less busy restaurants in U Village. Luckily, I came at the right time — happy hour, where the HH menu items are the same size as the regular menu items. To start, we ordered the truffle cheese fries from the HH menu. They were just normal fries, but covered in a drizzle of havarti truffle sauce. The sauce didn’t have much flavor, considering truffle usually being strong tasting. For my entrée, I chose the fried chicken sliders(also off of HH). Nothing special about these, just a dry piece of fried chicken encased in yet another dry item, the bun. It was barely edible. My friends shared the osso buco riblets(again off the HH menu) and the original eureka burger with onion rings. The riblets were drenched with their firecracker aioli, which sounds exciting, but was simply just buffalo sauce. The consistency of the meat was sticky and hard. The burger was compiled of a dry beef patty squished between a cardboard-like bun. No thanks! We did enjoy the onion rings, but how could you go wrong with deep frying a most-likely frozen item? However, our server was exceptionally friendly and attentive. Aside from the food being a disappointment, she deserved recognition for her outstanding service. I’m glad I came during happy hour because I would have been disappointed with the quality of food, considering the prices.
