Absolute NIGHTMARE. I brought in a cashmere sweater to be cleaned and have elbow patches sewn on. I told him I usually went to Julie’s Cleaners,(down the street) and he proceeded to lecture me on how Julie’s charges more and has less experience. Okay??? A few days later, he calls and tells me he can’t find the right colour of patches and we agreed on another colour. He said to wait another week. Two weeks later I come in and he says he didn’t know which colour to use. At that point I asked for the sweater back. He dug it out from under a pile of papers and said no, no I don’t think this is yours. We argued about it for a few minutes and he finally handed it back to me, a wrinkled, dusty mess. Thanks a**hole.

you can’t deny it. the place itself is dirty. the man does sleep on the floor when waiting for customers. he does try to up-sell. but the clothes are sent out to another location to be cleaned. and he is very very sweet. and let’s talk price. he’s cheap. when it comes to the basic dry cleaning/pressing/hemming, go for it. and, maybe we can all gently encourage the proprietor to run a vacuum over the place once and a while.

Been coming here for over a year for dry cleaning. The guy has been doing this for a long time and the clothes always come out clean and with proper amount of starch. Have recently taken several pairs of slack here for alterations and was happy with all the work done. If you are looking for a shiny showroom and your dry cleaner to be dressed in the latest fashions, go across the street or the dozen other dry cleaners within a mile radius. If you are looking for your clothes to be ready in 3 to 4 days as opposed to 1 to 2, go across the street or the dozen other dry cleaners within a mile radius. If you are looking to pay significantly more for the same service(sans the pretty décor), go across the street or the dozen other dry cleaners within a mile radius. Please, just go across the street. I don’t want the short turn around time to end…

I had a completely different opinion of this place. It was dirty. The man who runs it was sleeping on the floor barefoot when I came in to pick up my stuff. Didn’t give me that«clean clothes» vibe. Half my stuff still had stains. He also wanted to know where I’d had other alterations, and kept pressuring me to get work done there. I don’t want to go back after that experience.

First of all, the man who works here is absolutely adorable and very sweet. Both times I came in he greeted me warmly, looked me in the eye and asked how my day was. It definitely has that«mom and pop shop» vibe. The man who runs the place seemed to take an interest in the customer, which I really appreciate! Second of all, I must admit that I have never gotten jeans professionally hemmed before(I’ve been known to roam the streets of Seattle with my jeans safety pinned up just because I don’t want to take the time/money to go to an alterations place). Having said that, I’m a complete convert now. The man who works here did a fabulous job hemming both mine and my boyfriend’s jeans for only $ 10 each, and the turnaround was only 4 days. He also dry cleaned a sweater for $ 4, which seems like a great deal(I also rarely get things dry-cleaned so I don’t really have a point of comparison there either). So, I would highly recommend it, he did exactly what I wanted with the jeans for a great price and there were no problems with the sweater I got dry-cleaned. I’m now a professional alterations convert, thanks to this place!
