I took my Toyota Camry for a routine maintenance and was very impressed. Not only were they able to finish the service quickly, they charged significantly less than I was quoted on the phone. Lee was incredibly friendly and thoroughly explained the work that was done. He did not try to push unnecessary work and comes across as a very honest mechanic. I am very happy with my choice to go to Dere Auto and will be back.

Referred here from a friend and was not disappointed! Lee was super nice and friendly and was very straightforward about the work that was done on our car. My boyfriend got a quote from the dealership and it totaled to more than $ 700! At Dere Auto we paid only $ 400 and got some good advice on what was done. We will definitely be coming back to this business!

I found Dere Auto when one of their raving fans was talking about them in a coffee shop. I decided to give them a try and I am very glad I did. These guys are wonderful! They charge significantly less then the shop I used to go to and I have been happy with the work each time I have gone there. I appreciate that I drop the car off and they call later that day to let me know its done (I hate when my car sits at the shop for days while nothing is going on with it). I’d say the crowning moment was when I authorized a $ 1600 repair and when I came to pick it up they charged me half that price and explained that once they got in there they only needed to replace one part and not the whole thing. Wow! Loved that! Total integrity. Dere is my auto repair shop from now on.

Car was left overnight, fixed by the morning and the price is about what i would have expected. The people there took the time to explain what was wrong, how to fix it, and how much it was going to cost. will recommend.

Not a good mechanic shop to do medium or major work. I had my doubt when i saw the 5 star rating here, especially there are couple of reviewers that gave 5 star to both locations within short date of each other (i believe those ratings are hokem). Not only i was over charged, but problems on other parts of my car started happening. Sounds under hood and even inside dash started happening every once in a while. They certainly have no idea when it comes to more major repairs. I dont even trust them to replace oil or minor parts under the hood.
NOW I HAVE TO SPEND MORE TO FIX PROBLEMS THAT HAPPENED AFTER VISITING THIS LOCATION.
TOTAL SCAM ON 5 STAR RATING.
Make sure to go through parts and work they are suppose to do. They tend to drag you into other issues and charge a whole lot and then blame that they did not understand the intent of your response.

Dere Auto is highly recommended for their integrity and competency. I received a recommendation and quote from Honda dealer service department for 1K to fix a minor oil pump leak. William from Dere Auto examined and recommended minor bolt tightening and washer replacement should stop the minor leak. I appreciate their honesty and I will bring my cars to Dere Auto for any services and repairs even though I live on the East side.

I am really mad about the service I got at WS Dere. My car started running extremely rough so I took it in. I agreed to a diagnostic that would cost nothing, just find out what went wrong and quote me a price. Then a mechanic (nor Mr. Lee) called me and said the they could try a couple of inexpensive things before looking further. I agreed because the cost was supposed to be low. Long story short — they quoted me $ 550 for a new fuel injector and I said no, I’m buying a new car anyway, no use putting that kind of money in. I go to pick up the car and the «inexpensive» things were $ 358!!! This included an expensive wiring module, plugs, labor, and god knows what else. So I drove away, having paid over $ 350 for a car that is not fixed, with parts in it that I didn’t need. I do not call $ 350 inexpensive. I should have been asked once the costs went over $ 50 or $ 75. Mr. Lee said something about giving me a couple of free oil changes once I got the new car but that doesn’t make up for it. Also — I put in an $ 450 oil pan In February and spent $ 470 on a brake job in June of this year at this shop. I would think they would try to keep a good customer like me, but I guess not. Are they taking advantage of me because I’m a single woman? I hope not!
P. S. After this I went to another shop and was quoted $ 350 for the same work.

Lee and his team are great. Very fast, trustworthy, and knowledgeable.
I brought my car here instead of going to the one on Rainier due to wanting to get my car worked on some where closer to home. I brought my car in on a Wednesday evening and got it back the next day as soon as I was off from work. Before doing anything to my car, Lee told me what needed to be done and asked if I agreed or had any concerns before he started. The evening I dropped off my car, he called me back in to make sure it was alright he did all he could to get my wheel lock off (it had to be hammered out) since the last person who put them on for me broke the key inside and it couldn’t be taken out easily and with the wheel key anymore. He told me there might be a few scratches because of this and wanted to make sure if I was okay with that instead of doing it and then having me wonder why little scratches appeared. I thought that was really cool of him.
I appreciated the fast service and the communication I received from Lee. If other work needs to be done, I plan on returning.

OH MY GOSH! Just left the shop, and all I have to say is WOW! Their service is INCREDIBLE! I dropped my 2002 Honda Civic off yesterday because they didn’t know if they’d have enough time to work on it that night, they called me at 930am this morning to inform me of the parts I’d need & the estimated cost of $ 268. No one tried to sell me anything I didn’t need or want… and with that car being my primary (AND ONLY) vehicle, I probably would’ve said YES to anything because I just needed it to run! Being on a limited income and budget, I was amazed at how inexpensive they were. Mr. Lee helped me with everything & provided incredible service. Couldn’t be happier. SO GLAD to have a mechanic in the area now instead of driving all the way to Millcreek like I had been since I was 16 to see the mechanic my family goes to.
THANK YOU SO MUCH DERE AUTO! You’re honesty and exceptional customer service deserve more 5 star reviews!

They have always been honest and talk me out of half the things I think need done. Keep my truck running fair and square. Mr Lee is friendly and helpful — great neighborhood shop!

I went there with a good recommendation from a friend who goes to Dere in Rainier. They have a reputation for being honest. I called in for an appointment on the late afternoon and they asked me to come the next morning. The place was packed with people and cars being worked on.
I was worried it would take a long time before a diagnosis. They called me around noon to tell me the problem and the quote. A little over $ 300, including an oil change, change of air filter and wipers’ replacement. They said they needed to order a part but they ended up getting it sooner and they called me around 5pm to say that the car was ready for pick up. I ended up picking it up the next day. It all went smoothly. The car was fixed and it hasn’t given any problems since then (maybe 2 months ago).
They only take Visa or MC cards, that’s how many places are but I just thought of mentioning it.

I was broken down across the street. I am probably the last person on earth who doesn’t have a cell phone. I walked over to Dere to politely ask a question. I learned years ago it is senseless asking to use any tool from any shop because even if it was a screwdriver they won’t loan it to you. And thats why I was in shock after talking to the gentleman there he said; «here you can use this to get it started» without me asking!!! I was stunned. I got it going thanks to his tools and other total strangers coming into the Deli.
So the next time I had car trouble guess where I went? You guys are great Thanks again Dere.

My car failed emissions testing so I had to get my O2 sensor replaced. Dere Automotive was definitely the place to go to! They stuck to their quote (which was over $ 100 cheaper than anywhere else) and they finished really fast. Lee is a very nice guy and he won’t waste your time. I am very happy with this shop, I will certainly recommend them to others.

My wife and her mother have been taking their cars here for repairs and diagnostics for years, and my experience has been good, too.
Ask for a fellow by the name of (Poon) Lee. Call him Lee.
He is honest and does good work on almost any kind of vehicle.
When my previous car was on her last leg, he kindly suggested I put her down, rather than rake me over the coals and have me pay for repairs that would be a temporary fix, at best.
