Since I saw two bad reviews here I thought I would stick up for them. The housekeeper that we are using is great! The service is good because you can put it on your credit card so you’re not dealing with checks or cash. So far I have had no issues and everything has gone like clockwork.

My home was in a worse-state after I used this service than before. Not recommended. No stars. But Unilocal requires at least one. This star is a ‘watch-out’ exclamation. The business model is that Dana’s act as an agent for free-lance cleaners, they provide reassurance like insurance coverage, scheduling service and a pool of possible cleaners for you to choose from. You provide the cleaning materials, hardaware and a check-list of what is to be done. Sounds good. My cabsolutely awesome cleaner was retiring and suggested that I use Dana’s to try out several cleaners until I found one that suited me. I booked a cleaner and arranged to work at home for first session so that I could be available. Half an hour after the agreed time and no-on ehad turned-up so I called Dana’s who explained that since it was a sunny day this cleaner had probably decided to make the most of it. Would I like to book him again? No, can I try another one? We booked another one and I re-arranged my schedule again so that I could work at home, it got worse, but …to cut a long story short, when I eventually did get a cleaner she took 4 hours to do what I could do in an hour and took some of my cleaning stuff with her when she left. Dana’s assured me that they were letting the cleaner go but offered no compensation and clearly did not have a high quality-bar for cleaners joining their agency in the first place. Apart from getting myself a toy-boy to do it for me or doing it myself I’m now at a loss for what to do… any suggestions(clean ones)?
