What an incredible place for children! Teacher Lauren is a kind, energetic, positive force who brings so much love into her classroom for all the students. I wasn’t sure about the level of classroom commitment involved with co-​op before we started, but I can wholeheartedly say it was the right choice for us. My child and I both had an amazing year learning, growing, and making new friends. The space is large and well laid out for the children, tuition is unbeatable, and the resources available through the college are a nice bonus.

Both of our children have gone to the Crown Hill 3 – 5’s preschool (our son for two years, and our daughter is currently in her second year). Teacher Lauren has a wealth of experience and provides a wonderful environment for the kids to explore, learn, and grow. As a parent, being involved in the classroom once a week has benefited both me and my kids. The guidance from parent educators has been invaluable, and the community of families is amazing.

My daughter and I just completed our first year with Teacher Lauren. What a great option for parents. Teacher Lauren and her «play based» learning techniques are fantastic. After researching the best way for children to learn and develop, I was looking for this type of environment. Between the great teaching by Teacher Lauren and the Parent Education from North Seattle CC, the amount of information at your fingertips is amazing. Having an experienced teacher get to know your child this well helps a lot. I think this environment really encouraged growth and happiness for my daughter. Our classroom is bright, cheerful and fully accessible to all the children. The variety of daily activities is great. We just enrolled again for next year. We love taking part in preschool together. I would definitely suggest someone looking for a preschool to give them a call and set up a tour. You will be very glad you did.

Teacher Lauren ROCKS!!! We are about to enter our second year with TL and my daughter is counting the days until school starts in the fall. There are so many options in the Ballard area but what a gem this school is! TL is experienced, knowledgeable, patient, current, and enthusiastic to the max. She loves the kids as if they were her own. My child is a high energy kid and TL takes it in stride. She has spent so much time with my husband and I teaching us strategies in which we can be successful with kidlet who has a very strong mind of her own. What would we do with out Teacher Lauren. We are so happy to have chosen this school!

I am proud to say that my two boys will have both gone through two years of Crown Hill Co-​op 3 – 5’s with Teacher Lauren.
What an amazing experience. Every time we walk in the door we are met with a smile and warmth from the teacher and all the parents. My boys have both grown by leaps and bounds going through this program, and have made friendships that will last a lifetime.
This is a program that is focused on play, love and acceptance of others, parent education, building friendships and problem solving challenges all little people encounter, and learning to love and appreciate nature. Every birthday (or half birthday if a summer bday) is beautifully celebrated. We go on several field trips, for example riding the bus to Ballard Library, visiting the food bank, puppet theater, museums, the zoo, park & picnic days, etc.
It is a safe, bright and inviting classroom with a beautiful gym that we use when the weather is too rainy to safely go outside to the playground. (the door is always closed and locked unless it is drop-​off or pick-​up time and at those times there are always adults present to monitor the door)
I highly recommend checking out Crown Hill 3 – 5’s, I love that I got to be so involved in my sons preschool education by doing coop. We both learned valuable skills that I’m not sure a drop-​off preschool could have provided.
–also wanted to add the cost is extremely affordable, under $ 200 per month. And scholarships are available so no family should feel they cannot afford to send their child to preschool

This co-​op is a wonderful enriching experience for my children. Teacher Lauren is truly amazing, kind, and a very patient woman who handles many different types of kids without blinking an eye. The tuition is something you can’t beat either and is definitely worth looking into and they also offer scholarships! The community feel this co-​op offers is worth it alone. We have play dates outside of school with the other families and even do parent night-​outs. I highly recommend this school.

This is a fantastic co-​op preschool! As Board Chair of the school, I can assure the public that all external church doors (we operate in the daylight basement of a church) are locked at all times. In fact, the door to the preschool only opens from the inside…
This preschool is a co-​op that is part of the North Seattle Community College program. Teacher Lauren’s curriculum really prepares the kids for big-​kid school! She is wonderful.
