We went to this bar two weeks after it opened right in the heart of Seattle. It is a really low key place with some pool tables inside. The bartenders are super nice and are very helpful to a bunch of beer noobs like us. I don’t know anything about beer, but their menu was hefty. My cousin had a Hef and I had a stout of some sort. My cousin really liked her beer while i just drank mine in hopes of getting buzzed(that unfortunately did not happen). There can be a few drunks from time to time in there but what bar wouldn’t be awesome without them.

Very cool artwork on the walls, and candles on shelves. They have a pool table(just one) but if you want to play that’s an option. They have a big selection of uncommon beers. I haven’t seen such a selection since Seattle Beer Festival. The bartenders were friendly and efficient. We were here for an event so there was hot wings, meatballs, pigs in a blanket, hummus and onion dip. The hot wings were hot! I was looking for ranch dressing but there were no condiments. The meatballs were good, nothing special. The hummus was yummy, but the onion dip was meh. I think they make their own potato chips here(both normal and sweet potato!) they were both really good! So go here for a drink and appetizer it’s a great atmosphere.

It was weird going in here seeing what was different from the Whiskey Bar and what was the same. Color scheme is different, seating seems more open, and the music choices were good(yay Band of Skulls!) and not as loud as I remember in the joint’s previous iteration. The ‘warm’ ambiance is gone sadly, and a lot of the evening-time weekend crowds seem to have moved on too. Bah. Service was friendly, though it took some time to get the bar tenders attention. I’m not a fan of breaking out the jazz-hands to get a drink. I will say — HH prices on beers are solid though. $ 1 off and they have a nice, but small list of local brews to choose from. A fine place for a pit stop, but not anywhere I’d while away an evening at.

Hmmm. Barren. Needs some art work. Drinks not impressive — you’ve taken over the Whiskey Bar. One would hope you’d know your whiskeys and rye. Apparently, not. Not really. Try harder. Weird space — the whole open space leading to upstairs as well as the hallway to the loo makes it look like you’re sitting in a medical office or a cafeteria. I can’t decide which. All I know is that it’s weird. I can’t really get behind the Corner Bar. We saw that happy hour is from 3−8pm, so we all walked over and then… meh. Not impressed. Which makes me sad b/c I want to like this place. Perhaps we should visit when it’s a bit more crowded?

Good to very good place with lots of potential. The Moscow Mule was good and the atmosphere relaxing(good«John Cusack» type music playing, but nothing I recognized).

Meh. Pretty much the Whiskey Bar with a new name. Better places in Belltown for the same price.

Ok, got my first 4 visits in. One on a holiday, no less. This replaced a familiar haunt where I spent time. Time that exceeded the customary or appropriate limits for a human with my tolerance. Snicker. So now a brand new, freshly shellacked and tiled version has opened its doors to the likes of me. And thus far, I’m just as enamored as before. Love the uplighting and the restored restroom. No more duct tape! The drinks at our tables were all perfect, the food tasty for bar snacks. A little salty, but they fixed that. The beer selection is full o’ local local local. I love that. On my initial visits the owners & the barkeeps appeared slightly nervous & a tad worried under their excited smiles. This impressed me, as this confirms they care for their space and my experience within it. Bonus — There are born & raised locals working here. So visitor or homegrown, a witty conversation or local recommendation are in your future. I’m looking forward to live music /benefits they are planning… and hopefully new menu items. I’m also grateful for the flat screen in case I have pigskin or sounder needs, and only one is enough for this space, Try this place out. Order some funky drink, or make one up. Test them. I’m excited to watch them grow and make 2nd and Virginia a comfortable, satisfying corner stop for everyone who drops in.

This is a nice clean place. It could use some music and some décor ato make it feel a little more homey but I am told this is coming in time. I will be back to check it out and wish them much success.

Apparently, this place is brand new! Friends and I stopped in here for a pre-event drink, and I’m so glad we did! I had a delicious Orange Manhattan. That thing was fantastic! Not too sweet, and extra delicious. Another specialty drink they have is called«A Good Time», which is especially fun to order. My friend got that, and she and the bartender had a good laugh. Another friend got wine, and we were really impressed with the size of the pour! This place is small, and wasn’t too busy at 8pm on a weeknight. The staff is fun and friendly, and the drinks were great. I’ll be back!

I checked out this spot during their opening weekend. It was a nice, welcomed change from the dark bar that used to take up that space. They have a wide range of beer options and plenty of specialty cocktails!

Had a great experience at the Corner Bar over the weekend. I highly recommend the Orange Manhattan, a good choice if you’re looking for an elevated version of a traditional drink. The place and people are welcoming, looking forward to go again.

I had the pleasure of getting a preview of the Corner Bar before it’s official opening on Friday, November 2, 2012. It was beautifully renovated from the previous establishment, with sleek counter tops and a very nice, open feel. Everything from the furniture to the flat screen and their friendly, knowledgeable bartenders all had a great, positive vibe. The owners Dan and Daniel were making their rounds making all their guests feel welcomed and appreciated. I have high hopes for this venue and happy to make this my «go to» any night of the week. Check it out!
