I was not a gin person, now I am. I only drink Copperworks gin.
I was introduced to Copperworks at a Unilocal event. They had a Tonic Barrel Gin that was just amazing; but like most of their special gins, once it’s gone it’s gone. It was a sad day to learn that one was gone. However, life goes on. Their standard gin is still very good and what’s better is they now have an oak barrel gin that will always be on hand as well! I tried that one and it is almost as good as the Tonic Barrel. They experiment with a lot of barrel flavors and I am looking forward to the Port barrel gin. Besides gin they also have a tasty Vodka and are releasing a whiskey later this year.
This is a very charming distillery. You walk in, up a few steps and can see the distillery in action through the large windows looking on. The staff are very happy to greet you, provide you with samples and discuss their distilling process with you. I always enjoy myself here.
So even if you are not originally a gin person, but like spirits and want to try something new, stop in here. The barrel aged gin can be used in a lot of whiskey cocktails to a refreshing effect. I’m very excited to see where this place is headed!

Super cool distillery. Gin is reallllly good. Lots of items to go along with the spirits. Bought some fruity vinegars which paired with the gin believe it or not. Friendly people at bat let you taste it all. Met owner who has built this amazing place! From out of town so they offered to ship and my stuff was sent out same day. Highly recommend as a stop.

Huge steps for a small distillery! After striking up a conversation with the guy at the shop, turns out many of the things they do are modeled after Stranahan’s distillery in Denver, CO! I knew there was a familiar feeling about this place. The gin is amazing! My palette has changed over the years and definitely favor a gin & tonic over a vodka drink for sure. I can’t wait to see what they do about their whiskey making next year. It would definitely draw me back in town for a visit or two!

While gin is still one spirit that a great deal of consumers have yet to acquire an appreciation for (they must not have tried Copperworks yet), Copperworks is plugging along making some very fine distilled spirits in the heart of Seattle.
From quality ingredients, years of experience, and a lot of pride in their craft, Copperworks remains my go-​to for gin and vodka. I’m very excited for the time when their whiskey comes available (still a ways to go in aging).
While parking king can be tough under the Alaskan Way Viaduct and surrounding area (expensive meters, but some close by garages), it’s well worth the time locating a spot and the cost to park in order to pay these folks a visit.
They are crafting some very interesting barrel aged gin.
Copperworks also holds «bottling parties», which allow folks to come in and help a few hours to bottle and package their products. It’s a great way to help a local business, meet some new and interesting people, and one of the best ways to spend an afternoon (a tasting always follows).

Craft spirits and steampunk? Brilliant! Visited CopperWorks today with a group of friends and had a grand time tasting and learning from the distiller about his processes and techniques. The space is right near the Seattle waterfront so parking can be tricky but totally worth it.
The far side of the tasting room is a retinal feast with three giant Forsythe stills made of copper. The brewing setup only fueled my steampunk obsession. It’s a beautiful setup!
To boot, his spirits are fantastic. He has vodka and gin as the staple spirits as well as a small batch gin aged in tonic barrels. It all tastes amazing! He is also working on a whiskey that should be ready sometime in 2016! Go and learn about his processes, they are quite unique and the products are stellar!

While on the Ride the Ducks tour we saw the Copperworks Distilling Company. I tried a cocktail with their Gin in it at The Crab Pot, so we decided to check it out.
We arrived and met with one of the owners Jason, who was working the bar and ofering free vodka and gin tastings. We pulled right up and jumped in, as we both love gin and wanted to learn more about the process.
Did you know that Gin is made from Vodka? I didn’t before then, so we tried the Copperworks Vodka first. It was really smooth. Then we tried the Oak Barrel Gin and the Peat Gin, both so unique that I’ve never has anything like it.
We ended up purchasing a bottle of the first batch of Peat Gin and got it signed by the man who created it himself. We also bought a bottle of tonic to take home and make our own cocktails with. Both local and fantastic.
Copperworks is a fun place to go try and learn about Gin while in Seattle. We will definitely be back the next time we are in town.

Excellent craft distillery! Went here for a tour and tasting of their spirits. One of the co-​owners, Micah, took us on a very fun and informative tour! During our visit, they served us 1 vodka and 3 gins. All of which were very flavorful and each of which were good to drink on their own. They also sell a tonic water that one of their friends make which is also fantastic! We left in good «spirits»!

I swung in here to try out their tasting room. There was no whiskey available since it was distilling but they had two types of gin and one kind of vodka. All three were fantastic! I can’t really describe which one I liked best since they were all so good! If I had to pick one I would go with the gin that has juniper in it because it really stood up and said, «Hello!» in my mouth! All three had a pleasant warming feeling as all good, pleasant and high quality spirits.
I will keep this place in mind for future reference when I need to get more vodka or gin but that will be a while since I usually drink beer at home and not so much on the mixed drinks.

My husband and I stopped in while wondering around downtown. They give tastings for free and currently have 3 liquors to try and buy– vodka, gin, and barrel-​aged gin. I really liked the vodka and first gin but the aged gin was too strong for my taste.
The server was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the products. He was quick to answer questions and give more details while also not over-​doing it or coming across as snobby like some places.

We and here to check out their whiskey. There were a several people at the bar but after almost 10 minutes, neither the hostess or one of the owners that was circling around to the tables even acknowledged our presence. Not sure how the wares are. We left

Delightful little urban distillery! They currently produce vodka and two types of gin with American whiskey coming in 2016. They have a classic gin and a peated variety and they were both good, my personal favorite was the peated version. It is a tiny little place but the guy up front gave us all the time in the world to try free samples and ask a ton of questions (we tipped him for this as well). They have a few souvenirs available to buy from customized Glen Cairn glasses to concentrated tonic and flavored bitters. I would love to go back some time, especially to pick up some whiskey in 2016!

Beautiful distillery and tasting room. Very knowledgeable and friendly hostess set us up with some tasty gins and vodkas.

This place is great if you are looking for something to do in Seattle! Free gin and vodka tasting and very friendly and knowledgable staff who can share all the details of the distillation process. Both the gin and vodka were great! Can’t wait till the whiskey is ready to try.

We stopped in here while wandering downtown when we saw the ‘tours and tastings’ sign. I’m not sure if we just caught them at a bad time or what was going on. The tasting room/​main room had maybe 8 people in it, including us. We wandered about, stopped by the bar, looked at everything that was on display and were never greeted with a hello or even a get the heck out of here. We left without hearing about their history or products.

The owner Micah is extremely knowledgable and answered all my questions in a friendly and passionate way. The gin is great, and I’m excited to try the whiskey when it is ready. The price of the gin is a little high for me, but the tour was enjoyable.

Great free tasting for their Gin and Vodka. Really worth it, buy it.

Ok, so, like, I am that person who visits places and let’s my review draft marinate for FO-​EV-​AH before actually posting it. Call me busy, forgetful, what have you, but don’t call me Shirley.
Do you like vodka? Do you like gin? Do you like free things? Are you a human?
If so, stop in to Copperworks.
Why?
Oh, it’s good. Smooth, tasty, not that pine-​needles-​stabbing-​your-​insides type of gin. I can really only drink whisky (ey)s on their own and truly enjoyed sipping on the samples provided. And, bonus for me, I stopped in during their opening week, so I was able to get tastes from the first and second batches of their liquors. Early bird gets the worm I guess!
Best part: Free tastings. I guess it’s a law in Washington, but for people from states where you get charged an arm and a leg for anything alcohol-​related, it puts a non-​sober smile on my face. Cheap tours, too. Why not kill some time and get a behind-​the-​scenes look at the operations management behind distilling? I sadly did not take part while I was there, but it’s on the list for next time.
I have recommended a stop into Copperworks to my Seattle-​based friends and anyone visiting the area. I love their product, love what they have going for them, and wish them the best of success!

We went on a tour and tasting at Copperworks Distilling. They only just recently opened and I am not sure how I found them, but I was looking for something interesting to do on a cold Seattle weekend and this popped up. I made reservations (recommended) a couple of weeks before coming.
The owner-​operator gave the tour and I learned a lot about the distilling process, stills, and whisky/​vodka/​gin. I enjoy this sort of thing, so it was really interesting to me. Their stills are works of art and they had them built custom in Scotland.
The tasting room is really nice. They let you taste generous bits of the vodka and gin (the whisky isn’t ready for tasting yet). Really interesting and original flavors. Gin is a fave of mine and I bought a bottle to take back home.
They have the ingredients to their products right there for you to smell and taste. This really completes the experience for me… it brings it all together.
The tour is $ 5/​person, $ 4/​person if your group is 5 or more (we had 6), so this was a great cheap way to spend some time. And they are right near the ferry docks, so there is lots to do in the area.

Tasty spirits, friendly folks, free tastings… what more could you ask for? You owe yourself a visit!

Stopped in today at lunch as they had special hours 11 – 6 with Nosh parked out front. Met Nancy the Gin still and Jeff the pourer of two Vodkas and Gin made on premise. The Vodkas are derived from malted barley have a sweet aroma and nice finish and the Gin strikes a nice balance not too much floral notes for ten botanicals used. Yeah I’m a fan and will be back for a tour of the stills. Note the barley mash is produced from Elysian’s spent grains nice use of a local source. Could a Big Bertha batch be on the way?
