I’ve been living in this apartment for nearly a year, and have been really impressed with the quality of my space. My unit is perfect for 1 person, with a sliding door to the bedroom and a sizeable living space. The ceilings in my space are extra high which makes it feel grand, I have a brand new gas stove (rare for Seattle!) and the bathroom is tiled beautifully. The rooftop is BEAUTIFUL as well, with a gorgeous fire pit and BBQ. and TV.and Kitchen.
The staff has been incredibly helpful in times of need (I got locked out after a vacation and the management came in after hours to let me in). They aren’t in the lobby all the time, but in my opinion, enough of the time.
Yes, it’s not quiet living in Caphill, but that’s not the apartments fault. You shouldn’t move to Caphill if you don’t expect there to be noise from the street. Its totally manageable — for me, being a city girl.
Would recommend this spot to friends, and sorry to see the other reviews have been so poor.

Apartments themselves are nice but community is across from a really loud bar and the fire dept. Coming from NYC, I can deal with those things, but the management is abysmal. The building was sold to Essex and the people running it are just awful. They have no clue about customer service, the office is closed frequently (I signed with this building for the convenience of package acceptance, and front desk assistance as I work on the East Side), and they are extremely rude in community emails. Payment systems are complex and they don’t notify you of monthly bills. Further, the carpets and common areas are a mess. There has been a sewage backup in the parking lot (seriously, sewage all over my car), leaks, alarms that sound for days. Also as another reviewer notes bikes have been stolen (including my husband’s) and there was a portal security breach which left us exposed. What’s more, it consistently gets worse as the months go by. I am truly regretting resigning my lease and certainly will not review again.

The «resident portal» is also the most frustrating piece of buggy online garbage I’ve ever used. However, the property managers are nice and some weekends are quiet (when the club across the street is closed).
