The truck came to my work building for lunch, the menu looked good so I tried the pork belly sandwhich. The sandwich was terrible. The pork belly was way overcooked, not the tender texture it should have at all. It was very chewy and hard and dry. On top of that, the bread was rock hard so I only ate the filling. My work does not give me the luxury of getting up and leaving whenever I want so I waited till my next break to go down and tell them that I wanted a refund. They were SUPER rude and snarky about the fact that I ate the filling and wanted a refund. First off, they came to a business location so obviously they should know that the people can’t just find another option for lunch right away. I felt I was being pretty nice by asking for just a half refund since I did eat part of the sandwich but he was snarky and even laughed at me. If you have ever worked with a customer service background, you should know that that is not how you do business. I will never go here again. The food is terrible and so is the service.

I tried this TRUCK when it was behind the new brewery on Union &10th(Capitol Hill) and I ordered the SPICYBEEFSANDWICH… and WoW it was good! One of the better sandwiches I’ve had in a while. Crisp and refreshing veggies, coleslaw, and very well marinated beef. I will be back!!!

We recently had Chopstix out to our community(Leilani on Greenwood) to serve a large group of our residents. Overall, great food, professional management, and efficient service. Couldn’t ask for more! Our residents really enjoyed the Peking Duck tacos. Thank you Chopstix!

I’ve been here many times when I’m in Seattle, and I usually get the duck tacos, pulled pork sliders, and any of the fries(big portions of fries!). Everything I’ve had has been tasty =)

Woohoo — my first Seattle food truck experience! I found Chopstix at the Seattle Autumn Moon Festival in Chinatown. I’ll be honest — at first, I was a little hesitant to try this truck. I don’t judge books by their covers, but at times I judge food trucks by their names(heh). But I forgave the name when I saw something lovely on the menu — peking duck tacos. Whaaat?! So I jumped into the line and ordered. I also added a watermelon slushy to my order, since it was a warmer Seattle night. Very quick service. The peking duck tacos were flavorful and were meaty. Small, but that’s nothing out of the ordinary when talking about food truck tacos. It came with a side of plum coleslaw too. The slushy was really refreshing — definitely quenches thirst. Chopstix had other great options on the menu too including their pulled pork tacos, nori fries and more. I’d definitely give them another try!

Disappointed! I came across this truck at the Shoreline Farmer’s Market and ordered Peking duck tacos, nori fries and a watermelon slushie. The menu was exciting, the service was great, unfortunately the food fell flat. The duck was bland, the fries were very average, and the beverage wasn’t really a slushie, it wasn’t blended enough so it was more like flavored water with little ice chunks, in a small cup for a whopping $ 4. For $ 16 total, I can’t say I was very satisfied. I would be down to give them another chance because again, the menu looked awesome.

Chopstix is more than just a food truck. They were the caterer for our wedding reception. Food tasted great and they can make anything you want. They were affordable and very flexible. Staff was very friendly and totally on point.

I never wrote a review here before, so this is my first. This is also my first time trying this truck(new truck at Pioneer Square) and I had a bad experience. I went for the duck tacos which costs $ 7. The girl processed my payment and added $ 3 extra dollars as TIP, she handled me the machine saying something like«just need your signature.» I left with the feeling she was trying to rip me off. Food was ok. The tacos alone are kind of small for a meal. I am still hungry and will have to find something else to complete my lunch.

I had the vegetarian fried rice with tofu. It was ok at best. If you are looking for asian options in SLU, I think there are better options in the area. The food was flavorful and freshly prepared. The issue was the grain of rice that was used, seemed like a lower quality jasmine grain which made it somewhat sticky and so so.

One of the many food truck options around SLU. It really seems like the pork bun craze is creeping over from NYC. They call them«Duck Taco’s», but they’re really just a guabao that uses roasted duck instead of pork belly. While tasty, at $ 8 for only two little buns it just isn’t worth it. I also had the nori fries, which tasty, again are a little overpriced. For $ 4, you get crisp french fries that are seasoned with a standard Japanese spice mixture you can find at any grocery store topped with some of the bonito flakes and wasabi mayo sauce. I would say if they lowered their prices and became more competitive, I would come again. Otherwise, there are plenty of other options in the great food truck war around SLU.

I’ve eaten here a few times when the visit South Lake Union. I’ve had a variety of things from the Duck Tacos to Fried Rice… Everything is pretty good. I was expecting a little more inspiration but the food is just oK. Will I eat there again. Probably because they are here frequently and it’s not bad for a lunch option…

Yum! Excellent food, and it was free on a voucher. There are so many choices here, each with a unique twist on some of my favorites. I ordered the pulled pork sliders — and they were so yummy. The pork was nice and tender with a truly unique flavor. The buns were the perfect texture and just a tiny bit sweet. Now, the sliders were amazing; but the Nori Fries were TDF — that’s to die for if you don’t speak acronym. They were crispy, well-flavored, and the wasabi mayo was totally inspired. I can’t wait to go back and try some of their other things, like the duck tacos.

Argh. Unilocal doesn’t well with food trucks. This one is in front of me but Unilocal says too far away :-) Giving mapu tofu pasta a try it is a nice fusion combination. Although when it comes down to it, I’m an Asian traditionalist I have to admit. Still this is one of those food trucks that really brings new flavors to the neighborhood so we wish them well.

The south lake union food truck battle continues. There are so many, and virtually all of them get a line at noon. Some really go sky-high, others just make it through. Chopstix seems like a pretty recent addition to this turf, but they’re really good and it’s easy to imagine that they will have a following in no time, if they don’t already. They take credit cards, you add your tip on their phone through Square. Very friendly, fast service. Compostable serving implements. The menu is crisp and short, some fried rice, some sweets, a couple specials, some noodle dishes. Nice variety to the proteins – or at least you get all the usual suspects, plus duck, which is pretty cool. I had one of the specials, the duck chop salad. $ 7. Lots of iceberg, decent amount of chopped duck, some raisins, edamame, other veg, a nice tangy sweet sauce, pretty filling. Seriously, for food that comes out this quickly for this price, this is pretty hard to beat.

My first visit to this food truck today, primarily because it was free(company event). Not a fan, nor were any of the other 15 people we were with. I had the Peking Duck Tacos, which weren’t memorable. Nori fries had some sort of fishy flakes on them — we couldn’t eat them. Other people in the group had the shrimp salad, tofu pasta, pork sliders and chop salad. Response on all of these were: «Meh, I’m glad I didn’t pay for this.» Only thing that got better than average reviews were the sweet potato fries. I wouldn’t go here again.

When Chopstix first came out, they didn’t have a solid route in Seattle. I’m a food trucker, but I don’t go out of my way outside the City for a truck. With around 100 trucks in Seattle, I don’t feel like I have to. The first time I tried to eat at Chopstix was at the May 2012 Mobile Food Rodeo in Fremont. My rule for such gatherings is to eat my favorite foods and to focus on trucks that I don’t get to see all the time. There were two very nice young ladies outside the truck(which I like for a full sized truck) who took my order. After taking my order and passing it through the window, I was told they could fill 2⁄3 of my order(note: the remaining 1⁄3 of the order was mine). So, I left without buying anything. Too bad, so sad Monica. I figured I’d catch them on a different day. My next opportunity arose at the DragonFest in the ID. Some of my favorite trucks were there but I went to Chopstix. The same nice young ladies were standing outside the truck but there was considerably more people waiting to sample their food. I stood in what appeared to be the«ordering» line. The young ladies were both taking orders and skipped me, which I pointed out to them and they remedied. After taking my order, they took my cash. Instead of giving me change, they passed my cash up into the truck. What? Two ladies, taking orders, taking money, but not actually handling money? Weird. That day, I had the peking duck tacos, which I had been very excited about. Unfortunately, my excitement fell flat. The concept was fantastic but there was no execution. The duck was seasoned lightly and poorly, the cut of meat was inappropriate. Most places that serve duck tend to be fatty and flavorful, this cut lacked fat and was bland. I was glad for the opportunity to try their food and wondered when I would see them again. Since then, Chopstix became a regular at F5 over on Western Avenue. Although it was closer to me, it was still a trek from the business district where I work. However, more good news followed and Chopstix began a route in South Lake Union. Happy day! Now, it gets even better and they had posted up on 5th Avenue and Union. Yay! The food? The food has improved since I tried it in the early days. I’ve had a chance to try more food over time and while it’s not the best, it’s good. The price points are just about right but some of the dishes are overpriced. The menu is interesting — I would never expect them to serve sweet potato fries but they do. And, they’re good. Nice, crisp, medium cuts of firm sweet potatoes, seasoned well and served hot. Really nice surprise. The peking duck tacos have improved from my perspective. The flavors are more balanced. The fried rice is definitely a good deal. Lots of places will fill you up with rice and skip on the meat, not so at Chopstix. What I like about their pork fried rice is that they shred their pork. That was a nice surprise and the pork was tender and juicy. I love their chili sauce which is not only spicy, but has interesting tones to it. Service has always been adequate but nothing special. I order my food and I get my food. In terms of social media, they have a good presence that is updated in a timely manner. A decent truck on the roads of Seattle and definitely food that I would pay for.

I spotted Chopstix this past weekend at the Bite of Seattle and was excited because it’s my first Seattle-based food truck. I only had their Peking duck taco and when I first bit into it, it was completely greasy, dry and it was lacking sauce. Actually, all I tasted was grease. It was a huge disappointment and a total waste of money. I think with the amount of crowd/orders all at once really hit them hard because I tasted it in my food. I don’t like in the Seattle area, but I would give them a second chance especially now glancing at their menu online.

I visited this food truck at Dragon Fest. Had the pulled pork sliders and nori fries. The nori fries were AMAZING! Crispy and thin like McDonald’s, topped with salt and roasted seaweed with a wasabi mayo dipping sauce. The pulled pork sliders were good too, but the pork was a bit dry. I would definitely come here again for the nori fries.

Came by the food truck yesterday and saw a long line around lunch time. Thinking it must be a popular place, I thought to check it out. The menu was not extensive, but provided great options! The signature dishes offered: 1) asia pull pork sandwich; 2) peking duck tacos; and 3) ratatouille sandwich. Specials offered: 1) terriyaki chicken with steam rice; and 2) duck fried rice. Sides: 1) garlic fries with cajun seasoning; and 2) nori fries with 7 spices and wasabi mayo. I was amazed to see the duck options since good duck dishes are hard to find and the duck tacos sounded delicious! I opted for the asia pull pork sandwiches and they definitely did NOT disappoint. The dish came with two sandwiches, slider-style. Both were stuffed with a generous amount of pork. The pork was braised with Chinese spices and soy sauce and combined with picked cabbage. The pickled cabbage was a perfect touch to this sandwich and gave it the delicious asian twist. The sandwich roll was interesting because it tasted buttery(no butter was added to this sandwich) and reminded me of a french croissant. It was a great surprise and different from the flavors of traditional Chinese buns. Overall, a definite winner in my book. Would love to come back and try the duck tacos and the fries!
