I love this place. The food is good and reasonably priced, they show a great mix of awesome classic films and ironic entertaining B-films. The vibe of the place is great, too. Will be back soon!

I love places that aren’t embarrassed to embrace the quirky. Where else can you go for dinner and a sing –along?! This place has really cultivated a fun environment. People who come to the shows here are always ready to have a good time and the vibe is infectious.

Love this place! They show the coolest movies and host fun events like FRIENDS Trivia Night! The set-up is nice, too, as there are booth seats with a table, which is handy for when you order food and drinks. Plus, there’s a happy hour, with cheap snacks, in addition to their full menu. Parking is usually easy to find as there is street parking nearby, and a neighborhood across the street where I always find parking at. Most importantly, you can tell the staff love working here as they’re all fun, friendly and encourage costumes for themed events. You save two bucks if you get your tickets online instead of at the door, and popular events sell out quickly.

My friends surprised me by taking me this awesome spot for Friends trivia night. That’s right, FRIENDS! It’s a small theater that serves food and drinks. The folks putting up the trivia nights do it to fundraiser their production shows, which I think shows their dedication and passion for the business. We got some beers on tap and ordered an array of apps such as the flatbread, pizza, and Mac n Cheese. The pizza and mac won’t win any awards but they’ll keep you satisfied with a cold beer. The flatbread was not impressive at all. It literally was a flat piece of plain pizza crust served with a salty olive spread. I was very excited to play some Friends trivia so the food didn’t bother me too much. One thing that did bother me was the horrible stench of our waiter. The dude was wreaking of strong BO and cigarette smoke. Holding my breath was not enough to keep the stench from singeing my nostrils and permeating my upper lip for hours to come. Pretty gross. But he was nice enough. All in all, I think this is a pretty cool place. If you’re into trivia with fun themes, give it a try!

Went here for the first time last night, New Year’s Eve 2015⁄16 for the showing of The Room in 3D. I had the best time I had the best time I have had in just about forever. The vegetarian options were plentiful and really delicious, and the staff were super nice. I can’t wait to come back for other cheesy old movies and hopefully trivia night!

I haven’t been to this establishment before but the Unilocal reviews have done nothing to make me feel that I should not attend the movie tonight. I can’t wait to go. If and when I go(tonight) I will update this review if it turns out to be a horrible time for me..

This is a super fun date spot! They have 99 cent movie nights and play awesome cult classics. I’ve always loved The Breakfast Club but there was just something special about finally seeing it on the big screen. Their drink prices are pretty reasonable, and they always have different specials. We haven’t yet ordered food their, but the popcorn(with spices/toppings) always hits the spot. Last time, we got a free popcorn at the end of the night, which I can’t complain about!

I can’t believe that I’ve lived on the hill and never made it to Central Cinema until this summer, and I’m a little ashamed to admit it. I’ve been going weekly to their«Twin Peaks Tuesday» happy hour, which is free, uncrowded, and wonderful. I’m not sure how they make their popcorn taste better than any other movie theater popcorn… but wait! Maybe it’s the real butter, or the other optional toppings like brewers yeast and curry powder. Their happy hour nachos are huge, there’s a rotating IPA tap, and the seats are comfy. My schedule is a little too busy for much beyond a 45 minute episode, but once it settles down, I’ll be back to catch a feature length.

I had a fun time here. It’s a great place to watch a classic or cult movie on a good size screen, the projector could do with an upgrade or maybe they just get the bad prints. The seats are comfortable booths. the staff is nice. The food isn’t as a good as it reads or as plentiful as it should be for the price.

Went here recently for the first time because my wife loves it. The theater itself is awesome. Great setup, great atmosphere, definitely unique. I was pretty impressed when we walked in. Unfortunately, the service was terrible. I ordered a beer and some peanuts and it literally took 50 minutes to get the peanuts and another 15 to get my beer. It was busy, but by no means crazy crowded. I ended up getting food and it just was not good at all. My wife was really bummed, because like I said, she loves the place and had nothing but great things to say about the food and atmosphere. I’ll give them another chance sometime in the future, but it won’t be anytime soon. Maybe I just experienced this place on a really off day.

I love what Central Cinema offers. Primarily that they show great classic movies you may not have had an opportunity to see in the theater when they were originally released in the theaters. Being able to see Pulp Fiction in the theater is now the highlight of all my theater experiences! Central Cinema serves pretty solid food during the movies, with lots of vegetarian and vegan options. Food and drink prices are high, as you’d expect at a theater, but not unreasonably so. The staff does a good job of taking and delivering orders with little interruption during the movie. Central Cinema shows movies(like Pulp Fiction) unmodified like a regular theater, and they also show movies that have been modified with extra, unrelated material, with on screen quotes, or other modifications(such as Zoolander). The one problem I’ve found with Central Cinema is that they do not clearly inform patrons of what type of movie they are watching and/or do a poor job of enforcing expected behavior. What I mean is: if you are attending a quote along of Zoolander, it’s expected you’ll be talking, spoiling upcoming scenes, and otherwise playing along with the movie. However, if you are watching an unadulterated movie like Pulp Fiction, it’s expected you will sit in your seats and shut the **** up! We’re trying to watch one of the greatest movies ever made, and we don’t want your dumb*** ruining it by obnoxiously interrupting the movie! I would appreciate staff making this crystal clear to all guests and to enforce regular movie etiquette during regular movie showings.

Great place to come see a movie, and enjoy some drinks and food while watching. We played Simpsons trivia here(buy your tickets ahead of time! We almost didn’t get in). It was a lot of fun, although shorter than the Geeks Who Drink trivia group. The food was decent, expect bar quality food.

Unique place, good food, interesting atmosphere. Not your high end movie theater but it’s a great place to hang out. Cartoon night is great for the kids.

Saw The Dark Knight and had a great time. They showed the Adam West Batman prior to the start and I about choked on my beer. The waiter was super nice and I really loved the space, can’t wait to go back.

WOW. This was an awesome theater, and the food was pretty tastey. Imagine an evening lounge, with a big screen, delicious cocktails, and a menu full of comfort foods. They show some great films too, and you can feel free to laugh and talk with your neighbors and companions. Positives: Food, movie, comfortable seats, reasonable prices. Really great service. Negatives: Not a lot of leg room for stretching out.

This place is pretty much the best. Order early to get food in time, if you are doing cartoon happy hour. This a staple of the neighborhood.

This is a really cool venue and I’m glad it exists. However, I tend to not like places that serve food and drinks during movies because I find them distracting. I’m sure everyone is trying to think of how to improve this industry so people can get the service they want and not disturb others… I certainly don’t know how to do it. Maybe make wider or more aisles somehow so we don’t have to lean forward into the table for the server to get through to the other side. I came for a film festival and I had some food(popcorn and a Field Roast pig in a blanket). I wasn’t too thrilled with either. When I go back and have more money to spend, I’ll try something else. I will go back because I want to like this place. I love what they do and I love everything film, but I can’t get over the constant servers. The servers, however, were really nice and on the ball with orders for a sold out event, so no complaints there… the design needs work, though.

Food: ugh. Service: fine. Drinks: meh. But hey… Alcohol works. Movies: awesome. So I heart this place. Always a go to for me. In a land adrift in apathy(despite the passionate appearance of Seattlites…) There’s a legitimacy here and I love the mix of old and new. Date night. Or alone night. Worth your time and $. Check out their website for deals and events. Nice but unobtrusive newsletter. Sign up.

This is a great Seattle find — fantastic cinema bar & grill that plays classic, iconic, cult-classic movies among other pop culture in a relaxed, cool setting while serving cocktails and food. I can’t speak to the food quality as we only had the popcorn(with curry powder) — which was freshly popped, but the overall vibe was great and the menu looked good. Best part is they even take a quick intermission during the movie to order more drinks or take a quick break. Central Cinema is in a surprising location in a residential neighborhood(take an über as parking is very limited). I looked at their upcoming events and it seemed like a great schedule. I’d love to check out«hecklevision» where the audience sends texts during the film that appear on the screen. They even host special events from sing-alongs to Seahawks playoff games. Definitely a very diverse schedule and crowd. I can’t wait to check out another movie there soon!

How I heard of this place: Through my friend Tahirih when she found out they were doing a special Prince-themed New Years Eve celebration to ring in 2010. Type of cuisine: Everything is handmade in their kitchen, including stone oven pizza, dinner salads, rich desserts, locally brewed beers, small vineyard wines, and fair-trade coffee. The waiters will even bring it all to you at your banquette in the theater! Ambiance: Casual. There are booth-like seats in the lower half of the theater with a banquette in front of each. In the back of the theater you’ll find seating similar to what you might have found at a lecture in college/university — a small table that folds out from the arm of your chair. The air of the atmosphere changes depending on the movie playing the hosts for the evening — and is always fun, flirty, musical and festive, complete with disco ball! What I ordered: Sadly each time I’ve gone(twice — the first for a Madonna sing-along) I have been stuffed from dinner or the days events that I generally stray from ordering. But I have to say that I have heard rave reviews of the root beer floats and fresh popped popcorn, served in a ceramic bowl! Last night, a special Valentine’s Day menu was prepared, from which I sampled the profiteroles filled with spicy chocolate cream and they were sweet, spicy and a nice treat for the second half of the show.(Though not something for which I’d necessarily return.) What I loved: What I always love at the Central Cinema is the flair with which every show is produced. It’s not just a movie or music videos to which you’re invited to sing along. The theater staff goes out of its way to dress up, get in character, play games, offer door prizes and give you little trinkets to get you in the spirit! Last night, for example, we were given kazoos(to blow each time the Duke entered the scene) and large-gem rings for added bling. We were also offered red balloons which we were told to blow up and toss around the room to create the«Red Light District» when the song Roxanne lit up the screen. How much more fun could you have at a movie? And to think, that in just three weeks another classic — Goonies is coming to Central Cinema! Why I loved it: It’s just like watching a movie at home — where you can sing or quote along to your hearts content, eat popcorn and share the experience with friends… But now you have MORE friends with which to share the experience and props that you may not have considered on your own. Always a fun and high-energy evening, complete with dancing, singing and acting like you’ve never let out before. Cost: Average for a movie($ 10 per person) but with the added door prizes and trinkets, an entertaining host and second–(or third-) run movies that you won’t rent and watch at home.

This was an interesting find — and not real far from a friends’ house. They play quite the variety of old-er movies and we went and watched ‘Hairspray’. I can’t recommend the food — I know this is how they pay to keep the lights on, but it is terrible. I tried 3 or 4 bites of different dishes, and they all taste like microwave food. The popcorn is good, but expensive and served in small portions.
