Quick service and great fresh food! The lamb kabobs and gyro salad are fantastic. Make sure you are hungry because the portions are very large.

Got chicken tikka masala via Über Eats and it tasted alright, but was super greasy looking.

The gyros are huge and amazing, there are so many flavors. The biggest draw for me though was the price to amount of delicious food ratio on first hill. Best bang for your buck, also cashier was very attentive.

Great service and large portions. My boyfriend and I both ordered a gyro salad and found it to be delicious and filling. The cashier was attentive and made sure we had utensils at our table. We used a coupon as well, which we were a bit nervous about but they accepted it with professionalism and did not mind at all.

Had the lamb biryani. The food was decent, but tasted like the kind you would expect at an all you can eat place. Was not high quality enough to warrant the price. Either lower the price or make it better or give more food.

Cedars is great for the area. But the quality isn’t very high(then again neither are the prices) I would stick with the curries. Butter chicken and tikka as well. Was disappointed that the gyro isn’t usually freshly shaved meat. 2 stars because the baklava was a big let down.

We went to Cedars with a large group from work. We ordered a lot of food that for takeout. Many of us had the chicken kabob salad, hummus and pita bread. The hummus and pita bread was great. The chicken kabob salad was nothing to brag about. It was ok. I think one person in the group liked the salad. The service was great and the staff was very nice.

This place is pretty small but the food taste good and everything seems pretty clean. The food was very tasteful and it was large portions. I love to eat so yea and it was not that bad on the price.

For the price point, Cedars is decent. Their portion size are more than filling enough and I often take some back to work and stash it inside the fridge. If I were to make a recommendation to any newcomers, it’s to get the Chicken Shwarama! It is always my go-to.

Really great Indian food without a doubt. Asked for 5 stars and it’s really spicy and tasty.

Said open for dinner til 830, we walked in to eat at 715, pored over the menu for a few minutes, asked about the dishes, ordered them the guy said«to go right?», I said no we planned to sit, he said we are closing so you can’t eat here. Pretty much horrible service, didn’t even smell like food when we walked in, obviously nothing had been cooked for hours, which should have been the first and last warning. Ghastly chicken tikka and vegetables, The chicken pieces that were approximately golf ball sized had to be bored through half an inch deep to find anything that resembled chicken, the hard outer shell was difficult to get through, clearly had been cooked the day before and sat all day. Vegetables were obviously from a frozen package, cooked earlier in the day, and then re-cooked for us, one more round of cooking we could’ve eaten them with a straw. To summarize, don’t believe the large«NOWOPENFORDINNER» til 830pm. And if you’re brave enough to believe the sign, the food will teach you your lesson. Won’t go back.

This review is based upon their food, only. We live nearby and always order carry out. I highly recommend their Butter Chicken dish. As the menu states, it’s the best! It’s packed with flavor, and you can choose the level of heat. I always get the mild, I like a little spice but not too hot. It’s always perfect. Also, get their hummus and pita. It’s delish.

Nice option near Harborview, which I think is a food desert! I had the Chicken gyro and it was tasty. My lunch mate loves the tikka masala. The fries were good and piping hot and had a nice spicy seasoning on t hem. not too spicy but flavorful. I’d give them a 3.5 if I could.

Came here for lunch last week and at first was a little surprised with their prices– don’t let that fool you! Their prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you get(my friend’s butter chicken could easily be shared by another) and I was only able to eat half my lamb gyro. Granted, I also shared some greek fries and dolmades(stuffed grape leaves) with her as well. Super yummy and the lamb gyro was one of the best I’ve had! Lots and lots of meat given(almost too much if there is such a thing). And apparently they allow you to order online so it’s ready for you to pick up during your lunch hour. Can’t wait to see what else I like on the menu!

I’ve been to the owner’s location in the U-District and Northgate. While it is still good and I enjoy it, it’s my least favorite of the three. Mainly because it’s primarily a lunch type spot for sandwiches and there isn’t any kind of décor or ambiance. Great if you need to pick something up on the go or for a quick non-fancy eat. The food is the winner here at this location!

food: lamb gyro. not the best i had, but not the worst. you can barely taste the flavors from the lamb. but overall with the rest of the ingredients made it better. ***3/5 service: family owned shop, it seems. nice guy. took a while to get our order ready though. even though there were only a few orders. ***3/5 ambiance: small space. not that many tables. clean and tidy. ***4/5 price: cheaper than some places of this cuisine, a mix of indian and Mediterranean. but i would pay a bit more for some better food. ill probably try the indian foods next time. ***3/5

This place looks sketchy when you walk by. its small and dark. My coworkers suggested to coming here for lunch one day and mentioned that it was good. Since they were also foodie, I gave in. I’m glad I gave this place a try, their gyro or shawarma sandwiches are HUGE. They have 2 sizes to choose from, regular or jumbo and trust me the regular is more than enough! Their mango lassi is also very addicting. I always catch myself wanting to go here when I get to choose where to go for lunch. My brother in law who is very particular about what he eats actually enjoy this place. We both like that their portions are very generous. I haven’t ventured in trying their Indian dishes yet because it’s pretty pricey for lunch. The downfall to this place is SPACE. If you go here during lunchtime it’s a nightmare. They have about 5 tables total and there isn’t enough room to stand and wait for your food. It gets pretty uncomfortable so my suggestion is call and place your order if you’re going to not eat there.

One chill Wednesday afternoon after work, I took my friend here for some yummy dinner. Right on Broadway near the X intersection and future streetcar, this is a great little place. Modest, yet tasteful décor & paint. Quiet and empty as it was, we took ordered up front and took a seat in the front corner next to these neat(yet dusty) window blinds. Late afternoon sun shining in, our coconut curry chicken, 2 veggie samosas and my chai come out. Really nice food! The samosas had that awesome, just-right texture and chewy-with-slight-crunch pastry shell. I’ll have to return for some more. Good stuff and the gentleman was nice. If I also had to pick, I may select this over the U-Dist location.

Thank gawd Cedars is on Broadway! I was gonna go nuts if another sandwich place opened up on Pill Hill. So far I order the lamb gyro combo plate, which includes a side of fries and a soda. Cedars is very generous with their portions, where I can even split this into two small meals. I think the fries are alright, although I would prefer them to be served hot. I also tried their lamb shahi korma when my lunch buddy ordered it, which was tasty. The sauce was great for us to dip my fries in. Service is friendly and food comes out in a reasonable amount of time. Cedars is a great addition to my lunch rotation when I’m at work.
