After having a really bad interaction at another neighborhood coffee shop, I went into Caffe Torino just looking to get my caffeine fix. I got that and more. The barista there is awesome! Her customer focus makes this place have such a welcoming and open vibe to it. I had gotten so used to snotty baristas that you can’t begin to understand how refreshing it was to speak to someone that is friendly. Thank you for turning a bad morning into a great one!

Tasty selection of panini sandwiches, quiches & pies, fresh salad and pastries! Love the arts and bright, cheerful color décor through out the café. They will even hold your points reward card for you at the cashier!

Okay, let me preface this by saying I’m sure on a normal day they are awesome and while I was there, it was quite busy, so I get it. I make the trek from my office to this café because I wanted a good panini. Ordered the turkey one and quinoa salad. Made the trek back to my office, opened the bag, only to find some salami baguette thing. Heart broken, but unfortunately not enough time to walk back and get the right sandwich. Not a fan of salami so I passed it off to another coworker who said it was good. On the bright side, I did correctly get my quinoa salad, and that was delightful. Will I go back? Possibly. But I’ll definitely be checking my order if I do.

Stopped by here for a light snack after arriving at my hotel. Staff was super helpful, food is good, and the prices are extremely reasonable

The barrista recommended the LatteMiele(Honey Orange Latte) and it was quite delicious! Cheryl got the White Chocolate Mocha and she said it was fantastic. Italian coffee, so tastes a little different, but in a good way! Also had the Prosciutto Cotto and Tacchino paninis — bomb dot com!

I ordered a caramel latte and a coffee cake when I came here for the first time. Their latte was no short of excellent. The coffee cake pastry was a pass for me, though. Super stale, dry, and just not great. I’ve since ordered a quiche savory pastry(not sure of the exact name) which came heated up and was pretty good. Will come here again to try their lunch, perhaps. Their coffee selections are vast and seem to be consistently good from the few times I’ve been here!

Cute, colorful coffee shop. When I went to school close by I would come here almost every day for a mocha or sandwich. Almost always got the salame sandwich and a white mocha. Both were good. The atmosphere is calm and I kind of like the orange theme, along with the art pieces which change regularly — different from most place. The staff is usually friendly and prompt, and I’ve rarely had any complaints about the wait time or the quality of the food and coffee.

One of my favorite neighborhood gems! Their seasonal butternut squash soup is so so delicious & with other healthy options like quinoa & green bean salad this place is a must for healthy lunch in a hurry!

My sister came into town and we were very hungry around 5pm and wanting café food after a longgg walk through the Washington Arboretum(which was gorgeous.) We came here and were disappointed to hear that most of the items on their menu had sold out or were just really old. I understand that a bakery makes everything fresh early in the morning, but if that’s the case why even stay open so late? I guess other people got that memo because it was pretty empty when we were there but the line of 2 people still seemed like forever. Still my sister and I had a decent time. We both got paninis, mine was caprese, but I only ate half, and it was very ‘meh.’ I wouldn’t order it again. The saving grace was the amazing hot chai I ordered, along with the salad I got. I don’t remember what it was called but it had feta and walnuts and maybe apple bits in it. It was amazing, even my sister loved it. I felt the décor was obnoxious, bright orange? Really? The service was great, the guy who brought us our food was very kind, and apologetic that they couldn’t prepare anything fresh and most of their soups were all out for the day. My tip is don’t go here unless it’s early morning.

Great food and nice people. The food is creative and high quality reflecting the same from the staff. Eclectic for sure and a little funky on the side — definitely the kind of place you’d expect on that part of the hill. Looking forward to visiting again!

I work next door to this coffee shop so I would say I am a frequent flyer. I love their house salad, although I’ve had a few times where there was a gob of mooshy lettuce in my container — I’m guessing it was smooshed at some point when it was made in bulk and just made it’s way into my to go box. Anyways, no biggie, I just pick it out and continue eating. I usually always stop for an iced latte and a cookie. Took off one star because there is one guy who works there who almost always screws up my latte order. I always asked for an iced one and he always makes a hot one. I like both, but I prefer iced. Has a great selection of food and snacks and everything is always fresh. I highly recommend.

After coming here countless number of times over the past year. My go to’s(Hot Cocoa & Breakfast Sandwhich) have been consistently delicious. What hasn’t been as consistent is the service. There a few baristas, some of which are more friendly and attentive than others. Besides that it’s an awesome Café.

On terms of coffee this place is ehhh. Especially with vivace just a short walk away. So I wouldn’t recommend coming here for your morning caffeine buzz, but the beauty of a «Caffe» is that they are so much more than just a coffee shop. The food, atmosphere and workers bring up the rating. I’ve had the workers sometimes size me up on my coffee or stuff a little extra salad in the container, so props to them. I tend to get the Caprese sandwich overtime because i am a Caprese fiend! The house salad is pretty good also. The mix of a light honey-mustard sauce, feta cheese, and pears makes for an unusual but oh-so-good combination. They have a pretty packed menu of goodies and I look forward to trying them the next times I go in. More specifically, their frittatas! Last thing, I really appreciate modern innovations and while it may seem trivial, I love that they use Square® tech for their cash register. So sleek and seamless.

I was working in the neighborhood last week and I stumbled upon this super cute place. My iced latte was to die for and I got a delicious turkey panini that could be bought as a whole or a half. The barista was so friendly and he and I talked about living in NY. It happened to be September 11th and we really bonded over that. I am working in the neighborhood next week and I will definitely go back. Great seating options outdoor as well as indoor.

If you are looking for excellent lunch options with great service, Caffe Torino will not disappoint. The food quality is clearly made with care and higher quality ingredients. Items are fresh, full of flavor and leaves you feeling good about what you ate. The staff here are involved in the community and clearly show a pride in their business. Thank you Caffe Torino for a quality meal and being a part of SLU.

Coffee here is top quality. I ordered cappuccino 12oz, perfect. Gluten free brownie and gluten free bread are super soft and delicious, way better than supermarket those dry bread. Owner are super friendly. I read the review before I come here. I was a little concern about the attitude. But oppositely they treat me very well. I have a paper bag hold my lunch has been teared when I took it out of fridge. The owner offered me a new paper bag. And he is super friendly. I guess some people just being negative. I check her review mostly are one star. So you can skip her review for sure. This is one of the best coffee shop.

I come here all the time because I live right above this place and like to use the app in the morning to order food and pick it up before heading out to work. Food: The food here is great and the quality is very high as most of the things here are healthy and are good for you as a healthy food choice. I enjoy the kale chips here and have a habit of hording a few bags whenever I come in. Also the chocolate dipped cookies are really good, coffee is great, and I really have nothing bad to say about the food here at all. Because it always tasted great and I always felt great afterwards. 4.6÷5 Service: The service here is good, although during the noon hours it does get a little busy and takes a little longer because of the number of businesses within the area, but that comes with most of the places in downtown Seattle, also a good sign that a small business is doing something right. 4.1÷5 Price: This place is on the pricier side, it feels like for a meal I spend round $ 12 for a take out. You get what you paid for in quality of food, but still on the pricier side. 3.9÷5 Overall: A great place to pick up your food and enjoy some healthy bite. I am a fan of this place and will defiantly miss it when I leave Seattle. 4.3÷5

Got the prosciutto sandwich with beet salad. For 14 it wasn’t the best deal, but there aren’t a lot of options in he neighborhood. Despite the price, it was tasty; it is probably the same price as a comparable Whole Foods meal. I’d try it again if I was in the neighborhood but I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here.

I find that, in terms of the drinks and food they sell here, this place is really unique for Seattle coffee shop standards and I’ve been amazed by everything I’ve had here. I just came in asking for a nice non-coffee drink, and I was recommended a tea that has white chocolate and what must be peppermint. I missed the name of it, but this thing is amazing. It’s actually pretty subtle — not that sweet, and with just hints of the chocolate and the mint. It’s like the perfect tea remix. Also just had an almond chocolate croissant and it was great. In the past I’ve gotten berry tarts here and man they are good too.(And for the record, I’m not a sweets person, so this place stands out to me for making me want to come for the pastries.) Clean, pleasant atmosphere. Usually fairly empty whenever I come.

UPDATE: I am editing my review because it will not let me respond to the owner’s response below. I own a business and completely understand that traffic coming in and out of your facility can be unpredictable. That said, there were TWO people on staff while I was there that were working behind the counter. I appreciate the accommodation made by giving me caramel in my drink and I am happy to know that it is the same thing as a caramel latte, but the eye roll at me when I asked, was inappropriate. I also appreciate that the owner took the time to respond. ORIGINALREVIEW: Highly unimpressed. Cute place and the food smelled delish but the service was SLOW and subpar. It took 12 minutes from the time I ordered to when I got my drink. One drink. So slow. He handed it to me and said«caramel latte». I said«oh I ordered a caramel machiato». He rolled his eyes at me and said«same thing». Sorry! Ha. Wouldn’t waste your time here.

Delicious food(the crudo and mortadella sandwiches are my staples), and a good place to sit and read for a bit while enjoying lunch. But, there are some downsides — I’m not a big fan of their coffee(it tastes a little… floral? I don’t know if that’s the right word), so I skip that, and I also don’t really like their biscotti, either. A little too pistachio/almond extract-y for my taste. BUT, the biggest problem with Caffe Torino is that if you eat inside, you will emerge smelling like take-out. My guess is because the space is pretty small, so the smell of the oil/cheese from the kitchen kind of hangs in the air and soaks into your clothes and hair. Blech. But just bring some Febreeze and douse yourself in it when you leave(what? people do that, right?) and problem solved!
