A small location with a surprising amount of seating and nice seats outside too. Busy the whole time we were there both mornings. Sat at the window bar and shared quiche, cardamom coffee cake, and sun-dried tomato and pesto croissant. I had the mango tea, delicious! My husband had 1 of their specialty house lattes and he liked it. It was family friendly too. Nice café!

Been coming here since I was in utero but it’s kinda changed… Coffee used to be higher quality and it didn’t use to be $ 5.92 for a triple shot latte with no additions… Will have to find a new place I can afford. I also heard they make their employees work less than 40 hrs/wk so they don’t have to give benefits … Fuck that.

I was introduced to Caffe Ladro about 10 years ago while visiting a friend in W Seattle. She likes the caffe Medici – I was hooked! I’m not a usual latte person, but this was crazy amazing with it’s hints of orange as well as orange peel. I was staying a week in downtown Seattle and every day I had at least two of these. I live in CA and we just don’t have the level of coffee as Seattle let alone this wonderful gem. Oh they can put some orange syrup in it here but it’s not the same.

I wanted to be impressed because it’s so rare that you see good coffee with a decent pastry selection but Caffe Ladro just didn’t do it for me. I came in late in the afternoon, and although I don’t understand the other complaint about feeling obligated to order coffee(I felt zero pressure from their staff to order anything at all), I found the whole experience lackluster. In Seattle, I can have excellent coffee almost anywhere, so getting a latte that can only be appropriately described as watery with a hint of a weird flavor I could not place is pretty crappy. It was the thinnest texture I’ve ever seen on a latte outside of McDonalds. I was also deeply unimpressed by the chocolate crescent I ordered to go with it. It looked so good! Huge, fluffy, flaky, and just the right color, but unfortunately, it was also dry, mildly burnt in taste, and lacking in flavor as a whole. If not for the watery latte, I think I’d give it a second go, but as is, I have too many other options to waste another $ 5 on a coffee I don’t even know if I’ll be able to drink. Would not recommend. Sorry, folks.

My first review here wasn’t meant for this place, but for some reason ended up here(?) instead of uptown espresso where it was meant for. Anyway, this place has an awesome staff and amazing drinks. The general feel is nice too and you can sit and relax, or work on whatever you need to without people being too noisy(hopefully… depending on the people!) unlike some other places where it can be a bit boisterous. The quiche is awesome, especially if you prefer things that aren’t too salty, and they’re open until 9 every day!

One of my regular stops, maybe once a month. I often sit outside with the other folks with dogs, enjoying the sun or shade. The coffee is good, the cookies are delicious. The cool-hipster employees are friendly if you make the slightest effort to engage them. I use the prepaid card so I get a free drink now and then. If I lived within walking distance I’d go there all the time.

Dropping down to 2 stars(really 2.5 stars). The beans are good, use it for my stove top, no complaints. The problem is that i always feel obligated to order an espresso drink when I go pick up the beans(have them ground as well). The last 3 – 4 coffee’s I’ve had from here were not very good at all(i.e. dumped out shortly after the first sip). I don’t know how to use those huge machines to make a coffee so I don’t know where in the process things went awry. But overall — not a good latte/espresso. I will no longer feel obligated to order an espresso/latte when I go purchase beans.

I’ve gone to this coffee shop several times in the past for drip coffee… Which is great! Today I decided to mix it up and splurge on a 20oz iced vanilla latte since it was so nice and I needed the extra caffeine. First off the the staff member was moving at a very lethargic pace and seemed very unfriendly. I don’t know if she just had a long work day or what, but to have three people in line and take over five minutes a customer seemed a little much. $ 6.20 for a 20 ounce iced vanilla latte?! And when I took my first sip my mouth was filled with grinds. Starbucks is even cheaper than that! The latte was so-so. Think if I’m looking for anything other than drip I’ll go elsewhere. Suggest others do the same. Very unimpressed.

My go-to coffeeshop. Excellent service, always friendly staff. Perfect for smaller, casual, business meetings. Gets loud sometimes with folks that bring in their small children. Always an excellent latté.

Always a consistent coffee joint in W Seattle. Baristas are sometimes a little snooty(not rude, just snooty). And they’re definitely one of the more expensive places to get a cuppa, but I don’t mind… sometimes, you want a good coffee and a nice spot to sit and watch the world go by. Ladro West Seattle fits the bill. Oh, and their pastry selections are delish!

Mine and my brother’s favorite place to come for coffee. I live in Federal Way and he goes to WSU, every time he’s home we make the trek for our delicious Medicis!

Ladro coffee is no shadow man, just the coffee god of our age! Perfect blend of roasting skills the’ve incorporated into all there coffee beans to draw out the most robust flavors. Have you’ve ever dreamed of the perfect cup of «JOE»? If so then make your way to Café Ladro for either a fresh drawn cub or bag of beans to brew at home. Your taste bugs are begging you for it at 6am so must oblige in your tastebuds desire. Also if your stopping into the shop there homemade pastry are wonderful. The two items that stand out are the ham & cheese croissant and the apple crisp. However the apple pie is the BEST, but it’s no longer served by the slice so you must special order a entire pie, but so worth it. Hope FRANK has given u a proper tip for the coffee gods. If not you’ll suffer at Starbucks!

I’ve been a regular customer for 12 years, this W Seattle café has been my regular spot since I moved here. So sad at all of the recent staff turn over in the last month, though, and it makes me wonder what’s going on?! Coffee is still great and the new staff are nice, thus the 3 stars. Grateful that the couch in the back was replaced, now wish the company would update the floors and tables! The carpet is starting to smell bad and those tables, etc, have been there since I first started hanging there almost 13 yrs ago. I know this location makes money, usually does the most business of all of them, per staff, so corporate should invest in this café!

I’m a fan. This place is conveniently located on the edge of the main drag in West Seattle. It’s a nice quiet and cozy spot. I tend to come here when looking for a coffee shop that is open later in the evening. The prices are roughly equivalent to all the other shops I frequent. All the baristas here are top notch, friendly, and the quality of the drink I get is super consistent. In addition to Espresso, I’ve noted french presses, drip, and something I have not seen in other shops: Aeropresses. I use an Aeropress at home whenever I make myself coffee, and they work very well. I was impressed to see a coffee shop use them. About the only thing that I could say is a negative is that parking is sometimes hard to come by. It’s street parking, and most of West Seattle is much the same. On the plus side, the street parking in this area doesn’t seem to be metered. Trade-off.

Caffe Ladro West Seattle is one of my favorite places to grab a coffee on the weekend. The staff is so friendly I look forward to seeing them all. The on-street parking is getting harder to come by in busier times but it is worth it. They roast their own coffee and make their own pastries. The espresso is fantastic but I love lattes because the crew makes such pretty latte art. Revision: fall 2014, staff change, no longer making espresso drinks that look or taste any good. Try elsewhere

Everytime I come to seattle I stop at Caffe Ladro. They are growing everywhere… queen anne, west seattle, downtown… everywhere. Their coffee is really good… they make the most awesome flavorful lattes. If you see me in SF with a Caffe Ladro mug… you will know its me. I love this place

It is so hard to find a bad coffee shop in Seattle. This place is just great! It has a very nice vibe and they sell Seattle roasted coffee at a decent price! The Medici is so delicious, but be warned it is not made for people who aren’t willing to try new things! It is a mocha with hints of orange. Definitely check this place out when in search of a new coffee shop to frequent :)
