New favorite coffee place! Their lattes are so yummy… it’s dangerous. my coworkers and i are going here almost every day that we are becoming«regulars». Oh and you need to try their jalapeño scone… it is delicious!

nothing special. its in the lobby of an office and the vibe is anything but a coffee shop. clean lines, stone/metal finishes. overpriced, but expected due to location. 2 types of chai — one spicier, one sweeter.

Caffe Ladro is a local Seattle chain famous for their Medici, an orange zest mocha, which includes an actual slice of orange! Everything else on their menu is pretty standard — note: they do offer soy and almond milk alternatives, but they are sweetened. They also have a variety of pastries, but none of them looked extraordinary. The Medici tasted exactly like you would think — like orange chocolate. It was creamy, and not too sweet but a flavor combination that I don’t enjoy. The cappuccino had a strong coffee taste, a bit on the bitter side, and not as smooth as some of my usual favorites. Overall 3.5 stars for above average coffee and friendly service. Pro-Tip: Free wifi(passcode: espresso) but few chairs and tables, and no readily available outlets.

Solid coffee and the people that work there are very friendly, but the décor is very corporate. I always get a coffee here, but I’m not sure why some people suggest it as a date spot… it would make for a very sterile date =)

I have generally been disappointed by Seattle coffee, but no more. Café Ladro makes an excellent latte, and a delightfully flaky croissant into the bargain. It’s a block from the major hotels(Paramount, Hyatt and Olive 8), which makes it the perfect destination for travellers.

Some of the friendliest and funniest baristas. You should definitely come here for your morning coffee.

I had one of those days I preferred to come into work early and combined it with a slight side trip to another place for moi to try — ici! Of the Ladros that I’ve been to(2 – 3?) this one had the best baristas I’ve ever met! Dude, this one recent«butt crack of the morning» it was 2 ladies: one brunette in a cyan blue shirt and another spunky short-hair one. You know how you just seem to encounter people that seem to emit natural sunshine, pleasant vibes and super cool smiles? —THESE2LADEEZ! =D The dark brown hair gal might have been Punky Brewster’s older sister disguised in a less-spunky outfit. My selections were that yummy hazelnut walnut rhubarb(90% sure) bar sort of hidden on the bottom portion of the corner display and I either one of the following: a dirty chai WM or chai WM(WM=whole milk). Their chai is always enjoyable, btw(I forget what type it is, though). Multiple thumbs up, fist bumps and whatever for this early morning fix in the Denny Triangle area of downtown. :D

I’m finding it more and more difficult to rate Third Wave /Specialty Coffee shops on the café alone because of varying results in quality resulting from the levels of expertise of the baristas working at these places. This is true for Ladro. I used to have a very low opinion of them after experiencing a few very poorly executed cappuccinos from their location in Capitol Hill on 15th ave. I wanted to set my prejudices aside and give this location a chance because my pipe dream of working in a building with a great coffee shop on the 1st floor was too great to resist. And boy am I glad I did because my fantasy has turned into a reality. What makes it so great is Ryan, the head barista /manager of this location. Ryan is a top-notch barista and IMO one of the best in the Seattle area. I knew I was in the presence of an expert from the moment we started discussing how I wanted my cap made. Let’s review some of the technical details: — Locally roasted coffee beans: Check. Ladro has a roaster in Queen Anne — Baristas with proper training on pulling espresso Check. — Correct Microfoam texture & temperature + Latte Art: Check. I’ve had multiple cappuccinos made by both Ryan and his protégé Halie. They both do an excellent job with espresso extraction and milk steaming. Ryan is very knowledgeable about coffee in general and it’s always a great learning experience to discuss coffee with him. His passion for coffee is obvious and it shows with his ability to deliver results with some of the best caps I’ve had in Seattle.

Pretty much grinds Starbucks into a hole. Really well-made coffee and espresso, and awesome people behind the counter. Shout out to all three of them. It’s fortunately convenient but I keep coming back because of the gourmet coffee and inviting conversation. They know their stuff and they engage on a personal level. Two guys, a girl, and a coffee experience.

Caffe Ladro makes some of my favorite coffee of all time! I always order a latte although today I got an americano and it lived up to the same deliciousness. Kudos to them as they have successfully evaded the bitter taste that a lot of other shops have to their coffee drinks. Plus, their beans are fair trade, organic, and shade-grown. I just discovered this location and I’m so glad I did because it’s a lot closer to where I work than the one on Pine Street. You can find them sprinkled throughout Seattle with a few locations in the suburbs. I’ve visited over a handful and I always receive good service when I go. From what I have observed, the baristas genuinely seem interested in talking to their customers, and they remember their usual orders which is impressive.

My colleagues all keep raving about the coffee and especially the latte here. It’s supposedly really very good. I’m not much of a coffee drinker myself so I haven’t tried it myself but from what they say I’d probably vouch for it on their behalf. I did however try the ham and cheese croissant at it was delicious. Light and buttery with a generous portion of tasty ham inside, it’s an excellent breakfast when you want to grab something quick and rush to work. A little on the pricey side though so maybe not something I would like to frequent.
